Features
Overview: The Shure PG ALTA series of microphones is designed and manufactured with the highest quality and construction. The PGA 81 microphone is designed specifically for acoustic instrument performance and recording. The PGA 81 comes with a swivel mount and a zippered storage pouch. No cables are included.
Pickup Pattern: The PGA 81 has a cardioid polar pattern, which reduces feedback and rejects unwanted background noise. The flat-response microphone cartridge is designed for clear reproduction of acoustic instrument sound sources.
Phantom Power: Condenser microphones require phantom power to operate. A 48-volts DC power supply is recommended for the PGA 81, however, it can operate with lower voltages. Phantom power is usually provided by most mixers or audio interfaces where the microphone will be connected. A balanced microphone cable is required.
Construction: The microphone has an industrial design with a black metallic finish and grille for an unobtrusive visual presence.
Mounting: The PGA 81 comes with a swiveling clip mount with a 5/8" thread. This break-resistant mount lets you tilt the microphone forward or backward over 180°.
Connector: The Shure PGA 81 has a 3-pin male XLR connector. No microphone cable is included in this package.
