Product Research

Features

Overview: The Shure SLXD3 Plug-On Digital Wireless Transmitter can convert any XLR source, including dynamic and condenser microphones, for use with select Shure SLXD Wireless Receivers such as the SLXD5 Wireless Receiver (sold separately). The SLXD3 operates on the G58 band (470-514 MHz) and is housed in a durable aluminum chassis. A leather sleeve with integrated belt clip is provided. The SLXD3 offers 44 MHz tuning bandwidth with 32 available channels per frequency band (region dependent for both). Up to 10 compatible systems can be used per 6 MHz TV band and 12 systems per 8 MHz band.

Transparent Audio: The SLXD3 features transparent 24-bit digital audio processing with an extended 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range (microphone dependent) and 118 dB of dynamic range.

Power: The Shure SLXD3 can be powered by either the included 2 AA batteries or the optional Shure SB903 rechargeable battery, which uses the Shure SBC 10-903 charger (battery and charger sold separately). Either battery type can provide up to 8 hours of operation time.

Frequency Setup: Shure wireless systems organize RF bands into predefined Groups and Channels. A Group is a set of compatible frequencies within a frequency band. A single frequency within a Group is a Channel. The Receiver and Transmitter should be tuned to the best available Channel within its Group.

  • Group Scan: The Receiver will automatically scan for the group with the most available channels, if applicable.
  • Channel Scan: Scans for available channels within the selected group.
  • Manual Setup: Lets you manually tune the receiver to a desired frequency.

RF Power: The SLXD3 has 3 selectable RF power settings, accessed in the menu; 1 mW, 10 mW, and 30 mW.

Phantom Power: Phantom power can be activated on the SLXD3 when using a condenser microphone. Options include; Off (default), +12 V, and +48 V.

Pad/Boost: A Pad/Boost option lets avoid overloading the audio input with strong signals, or lets you boost low-level signals if needed. Options include; Off (default), -12 dB, and +12 dB.

Controls, Indicators, & Connections:

  • XLR: The SLXD3 features a built-in female XLR connector, with locking collar, for connection to your audio source.
  • Antenna: The SLXD3 features a built-in dipole antenna with up to 30 mW of output power.
  • Power: An On/Off slide-switch with corresponding Power LED that will light green when the Receiver is on, red for a low battery, and yellow for charging.
  • Microphone LED: Illuminates when there is audio coming from a connected microphone, regardless of the receiver status.
  • Display: A front-panel OLED screen with Menu and Enter buttons lets you clearly navigate through the menu options.
  • IR Window: An IR Window on the bottom of the SLXD3 gets aligned with a compatible receiver's IR port for IR syncing.
  • USB-C: A USB-C socket on the bottom of the transmitter can be used to power the SLXD3 or charge the battery (when using an optional Shure SB903 rechargeable battery).

Compatibility: The Shure SLXD3 Wireless Transmitter is designed to work with select Shure SLXD Receivers such as the SLXD5 Wireless Receiver (sold separately).
