The CloudBox streamer connects to your commercial sound system so you can play music from Pandora CloudCover's professionally curated stations at your place of business. This subscription-based music service is legally licensed, covering royalties and copyright fees for the songs that are played. It's a worry-free solution for bringing music to your customers and staff.

Connections and control

The CloudBox connects to your network for piping in the music, and it features an array of outputs for hooking up to your sound system. There are RCA, optical digital, and HDMI outputs for physical connections. You can even pair it wirelessly with a compatible sound system via Bluetooth. Playback is tamper-free — there are no controls on the CloudBox. Select stations or create a custom mix for your business using the CloudCover mobile app or a browser on your networked computer.

The streamer features built-in storage so the music keeps playing even if the network connection is interrupted. And after a power outage, playback will resume automatically.

Overview: The Pandora CloudCover CloudBox is a dedicated professional music streaming device designed for restaurants, offices, retail stores, and other places of business. The subscription-based music service is legally licensed, providing royalty- and copyright-free background music with 1500+ music stations available. All Pandora CloudCover streaming music is family-friendly. The CloudBox can be remotely controlled from a smartphone or computer connected to the same network, and can be configured for limited access to prevent tampering.

Service Plans: Three service plans are available: Music, Manage, and Messaging with monthly fees ranging from $16.95/mo to $26.95/mo (annual subscription; monthly subscription slightly higher). If you have more than 10 business locations, Pandora CloudCover can provide a customized setup with advanced support, white-glove service, and volume discounts.

Music: Premium ad-free music for businesses. Features include: 1500+ stations available with hit music from popular artists; create your own AI stations and mixes; no ads or interruptions; drag-and-drop music scheduling; family-friendly music filter.
Manage: For multi-location businesses that want centralized control. The Manage plan includes all of the Music options along with: Multi-location dashboard for managing multiple locations with real-time monitoring and remote control; multi-user access for control of individual locations; company-approved music stations; and the ability to add separate audio zones ($12.95/mo per zone).
Messaging: For businesses that want overhead audio messaging. Includes all of the Manage options plus: integration of audio messages between songs, either your own uploaded messages or with Pandora CloudCover's own in-house messaging; simple scheduling; multi-location message management.

Network Connection & Control: The Pandora CloudCover CloudBox will need to be connected to your local network for configuration and control using the CloudCover Music App, available for iOS and Android devices. A rear-panel RJ-45 LAN connector (10/100mbps) lets you make a hardwired connection. Wi-Fi integration (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) lets you connect wirelessly via a 2.4/5 GHz connection.

Audio Decoder: The Pandora CloudCover CloudBox is compatible with MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, OGG, DDP, TrueHD, HD, FLAC, and APE audio formats.

Video Decoder: The CloudBox features a built-in video decoder for playing back video content from the HDMI or A/V output ports. Formats include: AV1/VP9/H.256/AVS2 (up to 4K/2K @60 fps.); H.264 (4K/2K @30 fps.); AVS+/VC-1/MPEG 1-4 (1080p @60 fps.); Avi/Rm/Rmvb/Ts/Vob/Mkv/ISO/wmv/asf/flv/dat/mgp/mpeg.

Locally Stored Music: The CloudBox features 16 GB of on-board memory for storing your music locally. If the network connection is interrupted, the stored music will automatically play. When the network connection resumes, music streaming will automatically resume as well.

Bluetooth (5.1): Built-in Bluetooth lets you connect and stream music from a Bluetooth-connected playback device.

Card Reader: A micro-SD card slot lets you play and store music from a micro-SD/SDHC memory card.

LAN: An RJ-45 port (10/100mbps) can provide a hardwire connection to your network.
HDMI: An HDMI 2.1 port with HDCP 2.3 and CEC can provide a maximum output resolution of 4K @ 60 fps.

I have an exsisting commercial pandora subscription, can i used tgat with this device does it require a whole different subscription? as i have built stations i would want to keep.

Hey Nicholas, thanks for the question. This CloudBox uses a subscription service through CloudCover for that commercial Pandora streaming capability. If your existing commercial Pandora is not through CloudCover, then you would need a subscription through them to use this device.

My primary streaming device does not support Pandora. Can I use this device for personal, non-commercial Pandora streaming, or is a CloudCover subscription required?

Hey Kent, this is not something I would recommend for non-commercial Pandora streaming as you require a Pandora CloudCover subscription which tends to run you more price wise per month than standard Pandora streaming.
