A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production.

Features

Overview: The BT1014 features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses a 10" poly woofer with a foam surround. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency.

5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade lugs, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.

Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing.

Will this sub fit behind the seat of a full sized pickup truck with a regular cab? Specifically, a 2014 Silverado. I don't mind having the seat pulled slightly forward, just not pulled all the way forward.

Our research department has listed that there is not enough usable room behind the seat for a subwoofer. But they may not have taken into consideration that some are willing to pull the seat all the way forward. We have advisors that can be reached by calling 1-800-324-9695 if you are able to get the measurements of the available space with the seat in that position.

This is determined by what your amp will put out to this woofer and you buy accordingly. So check the specs on the amp output to the woofer.

the amount of load that the speaker can handle from the amplifier. typically amps are stable down to 4ohms, many high end ones are stable to 1 ohm load. If you don't match your speakers up to the load of the amp then you are going to fry something. stick with a 4 ohm speaker if you can.

yes, i would add an amplifier to get the best sound from it and chose an amplifier that has the recomended wattage. be sure to use the right wires gauges too. Enjoy!

Yes, it requires an amp. You need to check the speaker to see how big of an amp you'll need to push the speaker. Crutchfield sells a large number of different sizes. Check the product before purchasing an amp is my best advice. The speaker information will tell you the minimum and maximum amps required.

I use a kicker 300 watt amp for this product which I have bridged. Its a perfect size for just one bt1014 and enough power for even 2.

Yes you would need to use an amp. The sound a sub will produce takes more power then a normal speaker.

Yes. It's a 500W Alpine. W/ bass knob. The amp is under the front passenger seat and the Bazooka is strapped up against the 3rd row back rest. The knob is hidden near the driver's seat. I set the knob until the bass is almost too loud, then adjust it as needed thru my stock deck bass settings. I don't want the whole neighborhood to hear it. Hope that helps.
