worthwhile upgrade for a stock stereo
Christopher from LOMPOC, CA on 11/11/2024
this worked great in a 2021 Chevy bolt with the Bose sound system. i simply unplugged the factory subwoofer and tapped into the connector to hook up this speaker. it's a little (not much) louder than the stock woofer and goes down to ~30Hz where the stock woofer went to about 55Hz.

Great for the Rivian
Greg from Boulder City, NV on 2/19/2024
2022 Rivian R1T
A great, easy upgrade for the Rivian R1T. Fits behind the seat or in the gear tunnel. I simply wired it up to the factory sub connection and it does a great job augmenting the lows without too much boominess. The very high efficiency of the sub means it is operating fine with the factory power. The 4 ohm version matches the factory sub impedance. Thanks Crutchfield!
Pros: Placement options, efficiency.
Cons: Non

Enough bass for reasonable people
John from Westwood, NJ on 9/23/2022
2015 Toyota Tacoma
4 stars only because it is more than I need for my Tacoma Access Cab. Could have gotten away with something smaller. But that is not this products fault. It can get a little "boomy", but I'm not a bass head so I cut it back to be more musical anyway.
Pros: Sounds good with just h/u power
Cons: Mounting can be a pain. Wish it had a flat bottom to keep from rolling.

Amazing Bass Sound!!!!!
Crutchfield customer from Dorado, PR on 10/19/2020
I will highly recommend this Bazooka 8"! I have a Bazooka 10" already installed in my other car and I was wondering to install this one or a 10" in my second car, just to maximize the trunk space. At the end I'd pick the 8" and definitely its impressive, this tube is way smaller than the 10" but it sound really good and strong! I'm more than satisfied with my purchase! You can go with this Bazooka 8" with confidence, if you like to have a strong bass and good sound enough to hear your music on a high volume and feel inside the music!
Pros: Small, Amazing Bass, Easy to Install
Cons: Still thinking that Bazooka should design better way to hold the tube (better than the straps) or at least the base where the straps are, should be bigger or more heavy so the tube more secure and stable.

Bazooka BT8014
mark from Orlando, FL on 4/15/2017
this thing is awesome. i bought it for my '96 miata. i needed something small that would fit in my trunk. when it arrived it was a little bigger then i thought it would be but it fits fine. about the bass - this thing puts out plenty of bass. i originally bridged this subwoofer for more power but after listening to it the bass was way too much. so i just hooked it up to one channel on my amp. it sounds awesome and my amp stays cooler. i didn't want to be like those cars you hear at a stop light. that is way to much bass. the bass sound is easily adjustable and installation was a breeze. it adds an extra depth to the music i didn't even know was missing until i heard this thing. i would definitely recommend this product. five stars all the way
Pros: sounds great. plenty of bass. easy install
Cons: none

Perfect sound balance with my application
Gipper from Tennessee on 5/10/2015
If you want to upgrade your factory sound system but not kill your wallet this is a great product to compliment your system upgrade. Music is best in balance. My application is a 1995 GMC Sierra SLE Ext. cab. Factory system in this model? Let's just say almost anything will put out better sound. Ok I put in a decent Pioneer deck 50 watts per channel. Next the door speakers were replaced with Infinity Primus 2-way component speakers(70 watts RMS). I also replaced the factory component tweeters that sit above the 6 in door speakers but installed them as the factory ones were.(I do like the "hidden/original factory" look) Next was the subwoofer upgrade and for this model truck and many others just like it the 8" Bazooka tube fits perfectly underneath the rear bench seat(driver side) without having to modify anything! The sub is does not take any "used" foot space and it leaves approx. 6" between speaker face and LH pillar(Bazooka tube needs to face LH pillar in this application) Alright now for the power supply. I am using the Lightning audio 4100 Mini. I did my homework with power, space, and quality for my specific truck and this amp is perfect. It fits perfectly underneath the driver seat.(I took my seat out and lifted my carpet for easier install and wire routing). 2 channels push the doors and the other two channels are bridged to push the Sub(150 watts rms) Deck is just pushing the rear pillars. It sounds great. Cost? approx. $400 upgrade(DIY)
Pros: Size,Versatility and perfectly balance bass to compliment the rest of the music spectrum. When you look in my truck it's hard to see that I have a upgraded system....out of sight and mind. What I mentioned above with my install will not win any "bass competitions" but I promise you won't be disappointed with a Bazooka tube. It's like this....your somehow shooting a 45 caliber bullet out of a 22 caliber gun.
Cons: None to speak of

Bazooka BT8014
TMS from Belleville, IL on 10/1/2010
I needed something to fill in the bass that my Polk Audio components simply weren't going to be able to do. I'm sending this 150 watts off a bridged 4 channel amp and am pleased with the sound. I wasn't looking for a huge 'thump', but something to cover the lower frequencies (at a reasonable price). It's doing what I asked it too. The mounting straps are pretty cheesy and cheap, but for the price, I guess that's what you get.

Bullet proof
wjs1820 from Western CT on 1/6/2010
I have had owned and abused the same bazooka subwoofer in my vehicles since 1990. It has been knocked around and survived 20 new england winters and summers (knock on wood). I've run this thing over and under powered in 4 different systems and it's still thumping.I like my system musically balanced and this sub adds low end presence that you can feel without blowing out the windows. I primarily listen to different variations of rock music and it sounds great to me with 50 watts and plus 3 on the bass tone control. I'm using it in my Silverado pickup truck tucked nicely under the back seat and one 10" driver is enough to fill. In the past 6 years I've had to replace my amp, door speakers and head unit each after a respectable level of service but this sub is by far the most reliable piece of equipment I've owned. My current system is an Alpine head unit, (w/ sirius & Ipod controls) Sony 5 channel amp, Polk 6 1/2" seperates in front, polk 4x6 rear and the Bazooka 10" all from Crutchfield.

Big Bass On Small Budget
jtran76 from Dover, PA on 7/31/2009
I was very surprised on how much bass this 8" bass tube produces. I previously had a 10" Rockford Fosgate Prime in a sealed enclosure pushing a 100 watts rms using old school 2 channel amplifier in a 04 Mazda3 hatchback. This 8" sub out pounds my 10" Rockford sub. When people listen to my car stereo nobody believes that I am using a single 8" sub until I show them. Everyone that listen to my car stereo said it sounds more like a pair of 10" subs or a single 12" sub. Definitely worth the money. Like a lot of people I was very skeptical at first about bass tubes. Now I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is on a budget and don't want to break the bank with having to have a huge amp or taking up a lot of trunk space just to have big bass.

good sound, awkward to mount
Mr. Tibs from Chicago, IL on 4/20/2008
In the trunk of my 2000 Lincoln Town, 500-watt RMS Kenwood mono sub amp. Is there enough bass?.... yes... but is there more than enough bass?... no (you know what I'm talking about). I was surprised that at only 8" it does a very good job of penetrating through the back seat into the passenger compartment and rounding out the music, but does it produce the super deep bass of my previous sealed Infinity 12" with 1800w peak power handling... no. Also, the enclosure's shape lends to good sound, but makes it awkward to mount. The bulk of the weight is at the driver's end, so a single metal strap mount (like I've done) should be placed closer to that end, where the center of mass is, for optimal security. All in all, great boom for the buck.

Perfect for my truck
dj12563 from Colorado on 4/8/2008
I installed this in the rear area of my S-10 extended cab and it is perfect for what I wanted. As stated before, this won't blow out your neighbors windows or set off car alarms, but it does provide plenty of low end to your system. I am running this Bazooka bridged off a Profile amp. I am very pleased with it so far. The only thing I don't like is the cheap bracket and strap mounting setup, but it is functional and wasn't a big enough deal for me to rate it lower.

Clear, solid bass
mark from San Diego, CA on 7/23/2007
I bought a 6" tube for my son's truck and was amazed at the amont of bass coming from that little sub, so I bought an 8" bazooka for the trunk of my Suzuki Esteem. First off, this sub is very efficient, it will achieve fairly high bass levels with a lower powered amp. The bass is also very clean and not at all distorted, it will compliment your existing speakers rather than overpower them. The space saving design is also great if you have a small trunk like me.

Quality Sound
Rodney from Columbia, SC on 4/5/2005
I just installed one of these in my 1992 Nissan 300ZX along with a Alpine MRP-T220 amp and the bass is incredible. I had my doubts at first, but the quality of the sound is well worth the money. All of my friends could not believe that one 8in subwoofer could produce that much bass. Anyone would think that it was two 10in subwoofer easy. I'm very pleased with my purchase
