The built in crossover doesn't seem very effective, but overall it's a very nice amp and has been performing well thus far. Seems to have good range and definitely gets loud.
Pros: Works well in a compact package for a 5 channel amp.
Cons: Crossover could work better

I am well pleased with my new Kicker 46CXA660.5T. It matches up well with my all my Kicked replacement door speakers and tweeters. The 300 RMS fifth channel drives my sub great. Only down size is the amp gets a little hot!

Mustang B&O upgrade
John from Dixon, IL on 4/18/2023
2023 Ford Mustang
Used this in a 2023 Mustang to drive the front/rear channels and the SUB to replace the factory B&O system. Very pleased! Great sound. Used the PAC AmpPRO AP4-FD21 and PAC APH-FD01 Wiring Interface to make it all happen. Speakers were the Hertz K170 2-way in the rear, Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-10 Sub hooked up as a 2ohm load, and Morel Maximo Ultra 603 MKII up front. Drives them all with lots of power and clear sound, no noise or hiss. A fantastic system, Crutcfield was very helpful along the way, can't say enough good things about them.

Cons: none

Great amp for a Tacoma
Josh from Paragould, AR on 1/13/2023
2022 Toyota Tacoma
Great amp once you get it figured out depending on your vehicles setup. I have this amp in a 3rd gen Tacoma 4 door. The amp fits good under the front passenger seat (I did buy 1" seat risers for the front of the seat as well to let it have more breathing room.) I am running Kicker 46CSC6934 in the front doors and Kicker 46CSC674 in the rear doors. All 4 run at 2 ohms in parallel off the Amp2 output. I then run one Kicker 48CWRT104 at 2 ohms on sub output. I am using the non-JBL HU btw, so amp is set to Hi-level input. System sounds great after setting the gains and crossovers now that I've figured this amp out a bit more. I think the manual could go into more detail though on setups. It appears that you must use Amp1 input (even if you have no Amp1 output) in order to make the amp turn on if you don't use the remote wire. The front speakers on a Tacoma give more volts, so that is my Amp1 input. My Amp2 input is the rear speaker wires as they are weaker. On the amp I set it to the sub output uses the Amp2 input and I turned the fader off. Once I did this the sub sounded 100% better as before I was using Amp1 in/out from front speakers and they sounded great, but I was using the rear speakers for the sub in/out and the sub seemed like it got no power even with having the gain all the way up and the boost on full.
Pros: Great power and sound. Lots of options and potential setups.
Cons: Figuring out setups can be difficult and manual doesn't go into enough depth on how the amp actually works with certain inputs and outputs.

Great Kicker Amp! Lots of Power!
Crutchfield customer from CHANDLER, AZ on 1/5/2023
2022 Ram 2500
Installed this in a 2022 Ram 2500 without the premium sound system. I had to order the PAC AmpPRO AP4-CH41 Aftermarket Amplifier Interface (Item #541AP4CH41), then the expansion harness, PAC APH-CH42 AmpPro Harness (Item #541APHCH42) and then I had to order the ANC bypass, PAC ANC-CH01, while this at the time this review, said it would not fit my truck, it obsoletely does and it's absolutely required. Hopefully Crutchfield/PAC Audio will update their databases. PAC Audio is the one who advised this was necessary for my 2022 Ram 2500. But on this Kicker Amp. What a punch it packs. I powered 4 door speakers (Rockford Fosgate 6x9s Punch 1694s, and two 10" Kenwood subs and this AMP just ROCKS my truck now. Easy to use, mountable in horizonal or vertical setups. Only thing I didn't like about it, is the speaker connections. I am not a fan of the spade connector style, but these on here are nice and solid feeling.
Pros: Powerful Amp Great Looking Multiple mounting choices Power/Ground/Remote terminals feel solid
Cons: Speaker spade connectors are tight/small mounting tabs bend easy

Great amp but gets pretty hot during normal use
donald from lithia springs, GA on 11/7/2022
2005 Ford F-350
I originally bought a cheap planet audio 1800.5, 5 channel amp for about 1/2 the price of this kicker. It was terrible and arrived with 1 of the 5 channels not working. I wish I didn't try to cheap out because it cost me more money to get that cheap amp removed and this kicker 660 amp installed. The kicker 660 does NOT come with a sub level adjuster. It's an additional cost and you will absolutely want it. Don't forget to buy one! I did. Whoops. The kicker 660 gets pretty HOT during regular use. I bought two xscorpion TF8 cross flow fans to keep this amp cooler. Heat is the enemy of electronics so the money was well spent I think. I hate to worry about an expensive amp getting too hot & frying itself if I'm cranking the tunes. With 2 fans, I won't have to worry anymore. Installed in a 2005 f350 king ranch and sounds so much better than the stock system. Kenwood ddx5707s DVD head unit w/remote control JL audio Stealth box with 10w3v3 subwoofer Four Alpine SPR68 4x8 speakers Kicker 46cxa660.5t - 5 channel amplifier w/level control and 2 fans Pioneer nd-bc8 backup camera installation included Stereo system, CB radio, PA speaker, external CB speaker, antenna, 4 LED driving lights, Viper 5706v alarm and vantrue N$ three camera dash cam hardwired.
Pros: Smallish footprint. Great sounding amp! Well made. Mounts standing up or laying down.
Cons: Gets pretty hot during normal use. Subwoofer level control NOT included. Costs extra and you will want it.

2013 F150 XLT UPGRADE
Erik from League City, TX on 9/24/2022
2013 Ford F-150 XLT
I upgraded the f/r and pillar speakers early on, then dropped this 5 channel amp behind the rear seating deck of my 2013 F150 XLT Super Cab. This amp is loud and clear! Kicker's CXA660.5 five-channel amp belts out 65 watts to each of my f/r speakers, plus 300 watts for my low-profile subs. Separate high-pass filters on the f/r channels customize the sound to get the most out of upgrades. A variable low-pass and a fixed subsonic filter help fine tune the bass for my subs and truck cab, while a variable bass boost adds some low-end umpf. The wired remote bass control conveniently adjusts the subwoofer level right from your front seat w/o taking your eyes off the road. Kicker's Fail-Safe Integration Technology (FITT) keeps this amp's input free from noise or interference. A 3-second delay eliminates those nasty system pops and other noise when powering up or down. Its solid bang for your buck when used with the Rockford Fosgate (RF) DSR 1 digital sound processor interface with OEM Ford receiver. I absolutely love the RF Perfect Tune app!
Pros: Diverse amplifer is pre-engineered for multitude of set up options. Selectable electronic crossover. Remote bass optional.
Cons: Gets warm but keeps sound clean.

Steven from Catoosa, OK on 8/5/2022
Very clean, flexible, and powerful amp. Wire retention is top notch and easy to install. Looking forward to cruising even more!
Pros: Powerful, clean sound. Easy mounting, decent size for a 5-chl amp.
Cons: None. But couple of notes: Fader control button tripped me up thinking I had wired speakers wrong. Remote sub control is not included but that's easy to acquire.

This amp is way more than I needed and that's what I love about it. Complemented it with Infinity Primus 6x9 component (front doors and dash) and Kenwood KFC 6.5s in the back, with a Kicker 10" sealed sub. The highs are crispy. Bass hits hard and resonates deep. Everything in-between is butter.
Pros: Quality audio and power output. Reliable.
Cons: Size. It's not tiny.

Installed in 2005 Tacoma access cab with 6 channel Pioneer touchscreen, 6 speakers and box subwoofer. Great amp, easy to hook up, lots of power. Didn't have to make any adjustments, this sounds great right out of the box. I'm usually making all kinds of gain or filter adjustments to get the sound just right on my amps. Not this one. Hard to beat that.
Pros: Easy install. Great sound right out of the box.
Cons: None.

Amazing amp. The flexibility of this 5 channel amp allows for fine tuning of your line level inputs, front, rear and sub. I have so much more dynamic range in my 2014 FX4 F-150 than ever before. I kept the OEM head unit... My Ford Touch 8" screen. I changed out my factory 6x8s to Infinity Kappas along with my tweeters, also Infinity Kappas. I used the PAC Amp Pro interfaced to my OE amplifier to eliminate the factory roll off... then wired to my Kicker amp. I wanted a sleek factory look without giving up cargo space for giant subs boxes. I ditched the Sony sub but re-used the factory sub enclosure and outfitted it with a new Kicker 8" subwoofer. Lined the inside of the enclosure with dynamat and poly. I have warm, punchy bass with crisp highs and mids without deafening boom. I have good thump for kick drums, bass guitar and drum fills. I truly love my system and big thanks to Crutchfield for helping me choose the right gear for my project.

Good unit
Crutchfield customer from Conroe, TX on 11/2/2020
I don't know a lot about other amps, but this one was an easy straight forward install. It operates as advertised and powers 4 speakers and a sub. Good instruction manual and tuning information. The remote bass information is a little lacking in that it doesn't really explain how it works with the amps other settings. It appears to completely take over the bass gain regardless of amp settings. The only downside is you have to buy it separately.
Pros: Easy install and tune.
Cons: Does not come with bass remote.
