Advanced sub design
When it comes to great subwoofers, Kicker has been there from the beginning. Now they've mounted their 12" CompVR sub in a rugged ported enclosure to rock your ride. The sub features a tough, injection-molded polypropylene cone with a Santoprene™ rubber surround to pump out the low end. The unique SoloKon™ cone with its 360-degree back bracing holds up under pressure, and its perimeter-vented basket combines with Kicker's UniPlate™ speaker design to keep things cool when the music's hot. This tough sub handles up to 400 watts RMS, so be sure your amplifier delivers the power it needs. Its 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amp.
Built to take it
The enclosure is made of rugged MDF with a stylish black carpet covering and an embroidered Kicker logo. Its front-facing port delivers the punch you expect from Kicker and maximizes the bottom end the speaker pumps out. You'll get all the bass you're looking for and more. Load your trunk or cargo area with this bad boy and you'll be rocking the block with maximum bass and minimum fuss.

Features
Woofers: The Kicker 48VCVR122 enclosure uses one 12" CompVR series dual voice coil subwoofer. The Kicker subwoofer features an injection-molded polypropylene cone with a ribbed Santoprene surround. The surround and cone are attached using Kicker's signature red double stitching, providing an outstanding bond.
Enclosure: The ported enclosure is made of heavy-duty MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) with extensive internal bracing, providing exceptional acoustic efficiency and deep powerful bass. The enclosure is covered in sleek black carpeting for added protection and a refined look.
Forced Air Cooling: Kicker uses their SoloKon technology to join the cone to the vented back brace, creating a single integrated unit. This forces air through the motor assembly allowing it to run 25% cooler and helping eliminate distortion. Perimeter venting allows air to circulate around the base of the cone, while Kicker's UniPlate system helps redirect heat away from the motor.
Speaker Terminals: A single pair of spring posts are mounted on the back of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10-gauge in size. The dual 4Ω voice coil CompVR subwoofer is wired for a 2Ω load at the single set of spring posts.
Power: The Kicker 48VCVR122 can handle 200-400W RMS (800W peak).
Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompVR speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Wow! After I broke this sub in the bass was amazing. It hits really tight for a ported box. I'm running a rockford fosgate R2-750X5 five channel amp and the 350 RMS is plenty to push this sub. I'm also running rockford fosgate p1650 front and rear.
