Fits the 2025 Gladiator
Daryl from PANAMA CITY, FL on 7/3/2025
2025 Jeep Gladiator
Crutchfield says these don't work in the soundbar of a 2025 Gladiator, but they do if you don't mind a little wiring. A jeep specific adapter plat is included in the box. I installed the included crossover and used but connectors to attach the included speaker adapter harness provided by Crutchfield. The connectors installed by kicker were female blade connector for positive and male blade for negative, the adapter harness provided by Crutchfield was female blade for both positive and negative leads. I just used a quality heat shrink butt connector for the positive and it worked perfect. The sound improved immensely with this addition to the soundbar.
Pros: Included adapter bracket for Jeep soundbar
Cons: Requires a little more work to install but does work for '24-25 Jeep Gladiators even though Crutchfield said it didn't.

Pairs well with Kicker mids!
Corby from Salem, OR on 6/11/2025
2020 Toyota Tacoma
Not quite as clear and crisp as the DS18 tweeters I replaced. (I blew one of the DS18's somehow). I'm running them from my Sony AX6000 and chose them to pair with the Kicker KSC690 6x9's and Kicker KSC650 6.5's in the doors of my 2020 Tacoma TRD Access cab. (The mids are powered with my Memphis PRX800.5V2 along with my JL Audio Stealthbox). Glad the Kicker tweeters have a capacitor to probably keep them from blowing. It was easy to install the capacitors to the positive wire and cut, crimp and connect the free adapter that goes to the trucks wiring harness plug. The Kicker tweeters are complimented by both pairs of the two way mids that I have for good surround sound. Overall, I'm still pleased because sometimes the DS18 tweeters seemed too loud.
Pros: Capacitor included. Great price. Good sound.
Cons: Materials used seem lower quality than other KS speakers

More guidance for connections needed

As a complete novice, it would have been helpful to include some direction as to how to connect the Jeep wiring harness (with two female connectors) to this product (with one male and one female connector). I did not find any guidance in the instructions for the speakers, the wiring harness, or the Jeep specific install instructions and ended up cobbling together the two (likely incorrectly).

Bad Fit for 2025 Subaru Forester
James from SPARKS, NV on 5/10/2025
2025 Subaru Forester
These look like good quality speakers but the supplied mounting brackets do not fit my 2025 Subaru Forester. When compared to the OEM mounting bracket, the one supplied by Kicker is too small and the shape is wrong. The same goes for all the other supplied brackets. A Kicker support rep suggested a plastic bracket from Amazon but could not confirm the fit. The mounting space looks like it will easily accept a 3-inch speaker so I returned the Kickers and ordered a different set from Crutchfield.
Pros:
Cons: Brackets are too small to mount in a 2025 Subaru Forester.

Subaru Outback bad
Seth from Salt Lake City, UT on 5/9/2025
2022 Subaru Outback
If you have a subaru and want to install tweeters do NOT buy this! These are midrange speakers and will not increase the quality of your sound. The cutoff frequency of the capacitor is too low and the speakers are not sensitive enough and are too big to be good tweeters. Buy literally any of the others. These are two 2&3/4" speakers while all of the others have two 3/4" speakers. Very different and significant. Also your headunit powers the speakers and these big ones take too much power to drive. Great speakers tho. Just dont understand why these are recommended.

Great performance for the cost
Kristopher from SOUTHINGTON, CT on 4/11/2025
2007 Toyota Camry
These far exceeded my expectations especially considering the size. The stock JBL dash speakers being this same size left almost no options for replacement without cutting and modifying pretty significantly. And since the dash speakers in the JBL Camry system are the only mid/full/high up front, replacing with just a tweeter would leave out the majority of the range. These are very impressive considering they're doing everything but Bass up front. The clarity really is fantastic, they can pass for being a 2 way for sure. Also no problem being the factory system is 2ohm and these are 4, no loss of volume at all. Sound is bright but not harsh, and they can crank at high volume without issue. Also wanted to mention I did NOT use the included bass blockers; There seems to already be a crossover coming from the factory amp signal preventing any low frequencies.
Pros: Perfect factory fitment with no modification Easy mounting brackets included in the box Great replacement for combo mid/high
Cons: Speaker wiring had to be cut and connected, not plug and play with the Metra harness; There is a male & female connection coming from the speaker and the Metra is 2 females

Rafael from Ocala, FL on 4/6/2025
2012 Subaru Impreza
These Kicker twitter speakers sound very good! I purchased these to replace the stock original tweeters of my 2012 Subaru Impreza sedan. They have all the adapters that you need to have them installed. Although, the only negative is that the instructions were not very clear on how to use some components that are included with the speakers. There's a little black cylinder shaped, could be a resistor I think, I had no idea how to install it. I look at the website, I watch videos on YouTube and there was no instructions how to use this item. I kind of kept on trying with different wirings until I don't know how I made it work. But it was unnecessarily difficult for someone like me who I'm not a professional installer. But anyway, I somehow made it happen and they sound great. Very happy with the purchase.
Pros: An awesome upgrade to the stock units on my Subaru Impreza.
Cons: For someone not experienced on installing stereo speakers, these were difficult to install. The instructions are not very clear on what to do with the wiring. Especially that black cylinder shape resistor. No idea what to do with that. The instructions doesn't cover anything on it.

Good fit for 2023 RAV4 SE
Crutchfield customer from MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ on 4/1/2025
2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime
Ok, so like many other Toyota RAV4 users I was looking at upgrading the stock speakers, starting with the dashboard "tweeter". At first I tried few 3.5" coaxial speakers, as recommended by multiple forum posts and videos. Problem with the coaxials is that they have a dedicated tweeter, and stock Toyota headunit has some sort of permanent high frequency boost (to compensate for very crappy stock "tweeter"), which makes listening to music very fatiguing through any aftermarket speaker that has a tweeter. However, these 2-3/4" Kicker speakers do not have a tweeter, which is actually a VERY good thing if you're upgrading Toyota's stock speakers because the lack of tweeter naturally "levels down" the stock headunit's permanent high frequency boost, resulting in a much less fatiguing and more balanced sound. Of course, if you're planning on using the aftermarket DSP or any kind of aftermarket frequency equalizers - none of this really matters and you should just go with components with dedicated tweeters instead. Also, these Kicker speakers match the dashboard speaker grille opening better compared to any 3.5" coaxials (all of which are slightly larger in diameter than the grille opening), which should also positively affect the sound balance.

Nice Sound, Annoying Install, Mounting brackets do not fit
Brendan from BOULDER, CO on 3/30/2025
2023 Subaru Outback
Sound much better than my stock 2023 Subaru Outback dash tweeters but that's a very low bar. The installation, at least for this quasi-handy guy, was far more annoying than I was led to believe it would be. Removing the existing tweeters was pretty easy but getting the new Kickers in was an exercise in patience and install-by-feel because the access and angels just below the windshield that far forward on the dash is close to impossible. And, the brackets supplied by Kicker to mount to the Subaru drill holes do NOT fit. Talked to Tech Support at Crutchfield who were as nice as could be but no solution. The largest of the brackets supplied (they send 4 pair) is about a 1/4" short to match to the OEM screw holes that were used to hold down the OEM tweeters. So, tweeters are held now by one screw. Not the end of the world, of course but not my expectation either when reading that these speakers WILL fit in my vehicle. Also, some wire-splicing needed to connect the head unit socket from the car to the Kicker wires. Instructions were sorely lacking in explaining this but again Tech Support was super helpful and explained it very clearly. I might have gone with a different set of tweeter replacements if they were plug and play to the head unit socket. Also the offset screwdriver /socket that Crutchfield suggests and sells for $50 is useless. Too large to access the screws. A $2 offset philips head from the hardware store worked. Will return the screw/socket set.
Pros: Affordable sound upgrade for Subaru Outback
Cons: Instructions lack specificity about wire splicing required $50 offset screwdriver set suggested is useless.

2019 Toyota Tacoma
Nothing against the people of Crutchfield. I'm an experienced installer, standard install, difficult if you never did this before. My biggest gripe is the sound quality, it's a midrange speaker not a tweeter. These went in a 2019 Toyota Tacoma front dash. After a year of giving them ample time, tuning them to different music, they're gonna be a hard no. Every thing is wired directly ( no car wiring harness) they are amped and different head units including stock. These speaker just don't sound good. I've tried them with and without the capacitor, and still not good. Best suggestion, get a component speaker system and go that route with your front set up.
Pros: Fit is fine
Cons: Poor sound quality for this application.

Swapped out the dash speakers on a 2024 GMC Sierra with Bose and these were a significant upgrade over the mediocre Bose speakers! One lesson learned in the process. I used the included high pass filter on the speakers to block the low frequencies and afterwards I could not hear phone calls or read texts through Apple CarPlay. I went back in a removed the filters and everything worked perfectly! And the speakers sounded better without the filter. The Bose amp must cut the bass at higher volume levels. mounting hardware is not correct for a 1983 buick regal
John from Dousman, WI on 12/2/2024
1983 Buick Regal
The speakers sound good. issue is that none of the mounting rings match a 1983 Buick regal original speaker mounting holes. the screw mounts on any of the rings are around 1/4" less so you can only mount one screw into existing dash opening. I just hope the one bolt holds the ring and speaker down enough to not have a noticeable rattle when the speakers are in use.
Pros: mount rings are not right for mounting into a 1983 buick regal. need to be re-designed of they want to continue to promote these speakers are replacements for that car brand and style.
Cons: low cost.

Strong sound out of a small speaker
Stephen from MONROE, GA on 11/11/2024
2022 Toyota Tacoma
I am absolutely blown away by how good these speakers sound in my 2022 Tacoma. They're paired with Hertz 6x9 and 6 3/4 speakers front and back. I was surprised at their clarity and their sound alongside the 6x9 speakers up front. At first, they were powered by the stock stereo, but I added the Sony micro amp at 45 watts x 4 and they sound great, almost as good as the 6x9 speakers. I did not plug wire in the capacitors since I wanted them as full range as possible. So far, no problems, but the amp is fairly small and well within the RMS wattage range. I am really pleased with the strong sound out of such small speakers.

1-Star Rating for Fit Only with Mazda CX5
Mark from Bedford, NH on 11/7/2024
2016 Mazda CX-5
So this review is a little unfair as the speakers might actually be good. It's a review of the Crutchfield speaker selector. The problem is that they simply do not fit the dashboard locations for a 2016 Mazda CX5 (with Bose system). The mounting holes for the factory speakers are 4.25" apart but the largest mounting plates supplied with the speakers are actually 1/2" shorter and do not fully cover the holes in the dash. As usual Crutchfield provided a return label and the tech rep (Ian) was very helpful... so 5 stars for customer service. However, somebody needs to fix the website because this speaker is still listed as a perfect fit for that car... and it definitely isn't.
Pros: Good customer service.
Cons: Incorrect information in speaker selector.

do not waste your money on these for a jeep Wrangler

Unfortunately, I have to say absolute garbage. The reason I purchased from Crutchfield was so I could have a plug-in place system for my jeep. unfortunately, with this speaker system, you need to cut splice and solder a capacitor on to one of the speaker wires. after spending $30 on soldering equipment and spending about an hour of my time putting this together and plugging into my Jeep. There was no sound out of either speaker.
Pros: None
Cons: I'm currently into these tweeters for $80. Not worth the money.

Good Repacement Speakers for 2024 Sienna Sliding Door
Randy from Montgomery, OH on 8/26/2024

Nice upgrade to 2024 Sienna sliding door speakers. Included brackets will work in factory brackets if you angle the install screws just a touch for install as the largest included bracket is just a hair too small. Second row passengers can now hear the words of songs vs factory setup where the original speakers were basically nonexistent.
Pros: Clear highs Everything needed to replace factory setup
Cons: Mounting kit needs better instructions Largest bracket set is a touch small -but can work.

I bought these speakers to replace the factory dash speakers in my 2024 Colorado. I'm absolutely amazed at the improvement in sound quality they make. It's the only change I made to the sound system so far and for the money It's a no-brainer. The only downside is there are absolutely no directions as how to connect the wiring and the included capacitors. Fortunately, a Crutchfield tech rep walked me through it and drew a schematic to follow.

Anthony from Deltona, FL on 5/15/2024
I purchased these little speakers to replace the dash speakers on my 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander. I have the non-Bose stock stereo system, and it leaves much to be desired. These are the first speakers I've gotten around to replacing on the car so far. I tried them out with the included capacitors Kicker gives you, which I believe filters out to ~400hz, but I thought it was a little too low for these speakers so I purchased a 600hz filter instead.. much better now! The mids are nice and crisp and good highs as well. I 100% recommend these, even if you're running no amp and just a factory head unit, but I would also recommend getting a 600hz filter

2022 Subaru Outback
I can't speak for other Subaru models, but if you have a 2022 Outback Wilderness, the supplied brackets don't fit. I was able to improvise so it is doable, but it isn't quite as simple as you think. Other Subaru reviewers noted the same thing, one even posted a photo. I also had to cut away a lot of excessive wire. The stock location is a tight space so don't be afraid to cut away all the extra bulk. As for the sound, they are much richer and fuller than the stock OEM. Unfortunately, they sound so good that the shortcomings in the other speakers are more pronounced so this may be the start of someone bigger.

Good sound! Not so good wiring them.
Mike from Bonners Ferry, ID on 4/22/2024
2014 GMC Sierra 1500
Very good sound - once they're wired up. Their only downfall is Kicker needs to use the factory connectors (like other brands do) so you don't have to splice and join wires. That was a real pain being that the wires are so small and with the windshield right there, a very tight working space. And they don't make it clear on exactly how to install the cross-overs. Had to call tech-support for clarity.
Pros: Sounds good. Good improvement over stock.
Cons: Be ready to do some wiring and splicing due to lack of factory connectors.

5 starts for the speaker. 3 starts for Crutchfield. 2007 Toyota Avalon (W/ JBL) I wish I could've gotten a speaker the size I needed but these worked to. These speakers were to replace my 3 1/2 rear deck corner surround sound speakers that were blown. The kickers gave me no trouble, sound great and I was able to use the brackets it came with. I had to drill a single hole in both factory brackets to fit these in (circled in red on 5th picture). The magnet was contacting the metal deck so I placed a barrier in between the magnet and deck. I think Crutchfield failed me a little by saying these would be a good fit. Where as they did fit, they did not fit well.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Not quite a good fit

Great sounding speakers!!! My son's 2019 4Runner with JBL dash speakers sounded horrible. I used the original JBL/Toyota harness off the old dash speakers. Removed the old speaker from the factory bracket and soldered the yellow/purple wires from the original harness to the new Kickers speaker. Capped the green and black (tweeter) as they are no longer required. I did not use the included capacitors as this JBL system has active crossover that blocks the lower frequency. Dropped in without any opening or grill modification. Sounds like it did when the SUV was new. Thanks for your great service.
Pros: Great low cost solution as compared to OEM replacement. Sounds great even at loud or MAX settings.

Decent sound but a pain to install in a Subaru Outback.
Jose from New York, NY on 2/12/2024
2023 Subaru Outback
Subaru Outback 2023. Well I bought these speakers as it was recommended by Crutchfield as a perfect fit easy install plug and play in my dashboard to replace the OEM twitters. It is neither a perfect fit nor easy or plug and play. The brackets in the pack are to small (short) to reach the holes of the OEM brackets [I fixed this using long plastic rectangular washers to hold the speaker], the crutchfield provided cable connector set had different terminals than the speaker so you need to do some cutting of wire and connecting. Finally when replacing twitters the speakers require you to install capacitor filters which required more wiring connections and soldering. And there were no instructions on how to install the caps. They have non polarity and they go on the positive terminal side.
Pros: Decent sound, better than OEM
Cons: Difficult installation; brackets do not match a Subaru Outback 2023; knowledge of wiring, connector cutting, polarity and installation of capacitors needed

Poor solder quality.
Todd from DUNNELLON, FL on 12/9/2023
2016 Subaru Crosstrek
I had to re-solder the factory connection work on both speakers as one wire on each speaker broke off. One broke off in my hand with no force and the other with a very slight pull to check quality, the other two were good. On the broken wires a lot of the copper strands were missing (like a bad strip job). I re-stripped for proper gauge and wires looked good.

Amazing addition to new 6" door speakers in my '14 Subaru Forester. Exceptional improvement for acoustic music and higher range of sound. So happy I added this along with the 6" speakers and the price was super reasonable. There was a slight modification needed to the wiring and adapters that Crutchfield send and the customer support team clued me in to. The instructions were uncharacteristically scanty for Crutchfield, but Evan on the Saturday support team cleared it up in a minute.
Pros: value for price, high range sound
Cons: slight adapter issue--not covered by instructions

These speakers sound great! I wanted to replace the dash speakers on my FJ cruiser because the stock ones are horrible! These speakers sound great. My only complaint was the lack of instructions on where to install the included capacitor. I did some research online and I was able to find a video from Kicker explaining where to install the Capacitor(off the positive speaker terminal). I still have two more to install in the rear of the FJ, but I would definitely recommend these speakers for an upgrade over factory speakers!

Excellent little speakers . It does not say it anywhere but these are bolt in replacements for 2005-2015 toyota Tacoma front door tweeters .I wish I knew earlier ! For $60 you cant go wrong . Build quality appearance is outstanding .Perfect for add on "pods" that mount on door or A pillar . This very small speaker requires only a small pod .This results in less visibility obstruction through your windshield . Ive seen people with huge pods on the dash/A pillar fail to pass safety inspection . On the bench sound is excellent . Wonderful detail and high sensitivity that paper cones are known for . All metal construction , no plastic .

Treated paper can be a quality material
Adam from Kuna, ID on 8/20/2023
2018 Toyota Sienna
I changed to theses from a more expensive 2-way speaker, because high frequencies were getting lost due to the mounting location. These are mounted in the stock location, near the winshield. Treated paper is misunderstood and under rated, it is not even close to the untreated, cheap paper that come with stock speakers. These speakers sound full and robust, but they are more of a mid-high speaker, not a super-tweeter. These are being powered by 22 watts, straight from an aftermarket head unit, which caused them to be too loud relative to my amplified door speakers. These speakers were getting up to volume much faster than my door speakers, so the sound was not balanced. I used an online L Pad calculator to figure how to reduce response while maintaining proper resistance. These speakers are wired in parallel, so I soldered leads to aftermarket 2 ohm, 25 watt wire wound resistors and wired one in series, on the positive wire of each speaker, to lower the speaker output, so that the 6x9s in the doors could catch up. You could also use an actual L-Pad to turn down the response, for more balance with larger speakers. I also wires smaller tweeters to the door sail, where I could get on-axis orientation for the high notes. I would buy these speakers again.
Pros: Hits hard and clear on upper mid notes. Allows much smoother transition between woofers and super tweeters.
Cons: Not really a con, but I think you will want to add typical, small tweeters to the system also, to get the highest notes. Point the smaller tweeters toward your head to get on-axis, maximum clarity and range.

Kicker broken wires
Crutchfield customer from BERKLEY, MI on 7/24/2023
2018 Subaru WRX STI
The Kicker 47KSC2704 is a good-sounding speaker, but they need to be packaged more carefully at the factory. When packaged, the lead wires are bent tightly under the carboard cutout and one of the pair had 2 completely broken wires. The other had one wire with more broken strands than not. The condition of both speakers forced me to de-solder the terminals and re-solder all wires. That's not what I expected and I'm guessing that I'm not the only customer who's had this issue?
Pros: Good sound Drop-in fitment for Subaru WRX/STI Reasonably priced
Cons: Poor factory packaging results in broken terminal wires

Good factory replacement for the dash speakers. They were direct drop in for my 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. I love that they came with a variety of mounts. The perfect one for my truck was in there so it made the install a breeze. I would have liked it if they included a diagram for how to hook up the capacitor since I had to look it up. I'd never installed a cap before. As far as the sound, they are very clear on the high range and make an instant improvement over the stock ones. They're not going to win any competitions, but for a factory non-amped upgrade, they're very worth it
Pros: sound good, easy install
Cons: none

Great product for the price point when just replacing blown stock speakers. Be prepared to mess with the wiring a little as it comes with male and a female blade connectors on wires soldered to the speaker terminals and this make not match how you're installing. These are mounted in the dash corners of a 2019 Tacoma and being driven by an Alpine Alpine iLX-W650 with the Alpine KTA-450 Power Pack. I also initially listened to them with the factory head unit. Major improvement over the factory. They handle the mids and highs with clarity. The "voice" comes through, whether it's a guitar, horn, or a human singer. They did OK with the (Toyota) factory head unit, but really adopted a solid clean "core" with the Alpine amp.

Excellent speakers - put in 2018 Sienna and it really helped to move the sound stage up front (these cross over way lower than the factory tweeters). Super-easy installation - just solder the in-line filter on the positive lead (use the Red Wolf connectors - see below), pop off the covers, 2 bolts, done! Note that if you have a 2018 Sienna the tweeters are run in parallel with the door woofers and Crutchfield does NOT have quick connects. I had to go with Red Wolf "Car Center Dash Tweeter Wiring Harness Connector Plug Replacement for 2008-2021 Toyota....".

I got these for my 2019 Tundra. They sound amazing! So much better than the factory speakers (I did replace the head unit too.) For a few days I only ran these 2 speakers (I disconnected the center speaker and recommend it) and an Auto Ordinance sub I added and it sounded better than the entire factory system. Note: If you are replacing the door speakers with full range speakers you need a new amp or to bypass the Toyota amp. It has a low pass filter on the feed to the front door speakers. Install Note: They come capacitors to be installed inline as high pass filters (The factory speaks have them too, but different values.) You need to be comfortable soldering and should really have access to heat shrink tubing to insulate the conductors. You can just remove the original speaker harness and reuse to install these.
Pros: Comes with a factory fit bracket Sounds great
Cons: You need to be able to solder to install them properly

Replaced the stock 2.75" Speakers in the dash of my 2019 Tahoe with these to complete the Kicker transformation. This was the only speaker that concerned me being a Treated Paper cone instead of something more sturdy. So far they sound great!
Pros: Stock Fit when there are very few options in the 2.75" range.
Cons: Had to solder the included base blocker in line with the positive lead and there is no harness adapter. I actually made my own adapter by cutting the connector off of the stock speaker frame, and then soldering my leads to where the previous bass blocker was. There was plenty of room between the speaker and the cabin to slide the added hardness. I was surprised that I had to solder the bass blocker on, but fortunately I could.

Blew the left dash speaker in my 2019 Tundra and was looking for a reasonably priced easy to install replacement. I've known about Crutchfield for years. This set of Kickers fit the bill for me. The speaker adapter plates made the install easy. Comes with Bass blockers and some wiring installation parts to tie into your existing wiring. Very satisfied with the end result. They sound great. Thanks Crutchfield.
Pros: Supplied Bass blockers, plates and other install parts made the process clean and easy.
Cons: None.

Direct fit on a 2007 Tundra Dual Cab. Not many alternatives for this truck. Fitment was very good and quality is very good. Did not used included capacitors and cabling. I unsolder the original Toyota cable, unsolder and remove the cables that came with the speaker and solder the Toyota OEM cables to the new speakers. That way the installation was plug and play. Had to choose the correct holder plates to align the speakers to the actual bracket screws. So far working great with a stock look. Everything else on the truck audio system is stock.

Best inexpensive option for 3.5 center channel replacement
Branden from Indianapolis, IN on 5/1/2022
2014 Buick Verano
Used both for a center channel in two cars. Even though the filter excluded them for my vehicles. They include mounting for several different 3.5 inch location .Worked better than a 2way 3.5 from infinity , this one way speaker at 4 ohm worked well in a bose with 2 ohm and my monsoon with a 4 ohm load. Both systems the volume scaled well vs o.e. speakers. Paper or anything else soumds better than polypropylene or plastic. If you want to keep factory bass , keep away from polypropylene or plastic speakers. Plastic sounds empty with no bass.
Pros: Sounds great , great construction , sounds way better than polypropylene, reproduction of mid-highs /highs very clean , better or same as o.e. if looking for 3.5 center xhannnel it comes with mounting bracket and capacitor / inline crossover. If used in bandpass im sure it would sound as good as silk or carbon
Cons: Crutchfield filter omits it even though it fits in 3.5 and has a crossover or inline crossover , 2) kicker dosent make this in 2 ohm or 6.5 one way paper drivers in 2 ohm. everyone uses polypropylene and it sounds terrible ,

Easy install. No extra work needed, outside of splicing the factory wire with the speaker wire. Came with 3 different types of brackets and one of them fit perfectly. I didn't bother with the crossover adapters bc I think the factory amp handles all that. They sound great! I didn't need the extra wiring that Crutchfield recommended. Everything you need for a simple swap out of the factory speaker is included with the Kicker speakers. That being said, you get a pretty good discount when you buy it with the speaker and it never hurts to have some extra speaker hardware lying around ;-) Lastly, be careful removing the speaker grill in the dash. If it's the original, like mine, it'll be real brittle (from age and sun exposure) and will most likely break. Mine was already broken and when I went remove it it broke even more. Luckily I had a replacement that I bought off of eBay. Overall they're great speakers that are easy to install and have everything you need right out of the box.
Pros: Perfect fit Great sound Everything you need is included
Cons: Poor documentation from Kicker, but reading reviews here and on Amazon, along with the Crutchfield docs, walks you through everything.

Great mids and highs for my Subaru
Eli from LAWTON, OK on 1/21/2022
2019 Subaru WRX
Okay. Let me tell you this story. 6 months ago, I grabbed the kicker 6.75" and 6.5" CS for my WRX. They improved the sound, but I felt like something was still missing. They were better than factory, but just... It was like when I wanted to jam, anything would drown out the main sounds. Not just mids, but almost like it would all roll off. These really made a huge difference. Now, I am not going to say these are the absolute best. I have no idea. Honestly, anything except the factory dash speakers would have probably improved the sound. But these came with the correct brackets (along with several others) and even included the bass caps in the box. Crutchfield got the connector package right, as usual. And the install was great. But the sound was truly so much better. If you have replaced the factory speakers everywhere else but the dash and you are still not satisfied.. I suggest you give it a shot. These really were what I needed.
Pros: Good quality, great sound, and great extras in the box.
Cons: I can only say... not really a "con" but, i didnt want the daisy chained cables so I desoldered the presoldered wire from them and soldered them myself. Not a "con" but.. it isnt obvious in the marketing that they are soldered. Also, no information on the bass caps. They seem to be non-polarized, so no biggie, but... i would imagine many DIYers just not knowing what to do with them.

Installation was simple and straightforward, these speakers came with different mounting pieces and there was a set that matched factory exactly. No dremel required! They sound great and my car sounds way better now. Not just better than the torn speakers that I took out but better than original. Nice basket and pretty hefty magnet for such a small speaker. I also added a set of 300Hz Crutchfield "bass-blockers" but didn't realize that Kicker had supplied the same capacitors in the box already. *I used them anyway since they were already nicely soldered up and heatshrinked.
Pros: Perfect fit, after selecting the correct bracket they literally dropped right in.
Cons: Ummm... nothing yet.

Underwhelming
Crutchfield customer from Bay City, MI on 11/9/2021
2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Replaced the dash speakers in my 2016 Silverado with these powered off a Kicker PXA 300.4 at 50W. For a "middler" they perform more like a cheap harsh tweeter, seem to distort easily. Have them crossed over at 120hz after trying 80 hz, and have the included capacitors installed. Have yet to replace my stock door speakers but I don't think it would matter much. Eventually I'll be adding a DSP and replacing the door speakers so I'm hoping with some processing they will fill there intended role. On the plus side they are loud and reasonably cheap so I'm not upset if they don't work out with the money spent. I think these would probably sound best as a stock replacement off of a stock or aftermarket head unit that doesn't have too high of an output. Overall I can't recommend, but to be fair, these are the only "middlers" I've ever heard aside from stock so I have no comparison to other brands. I will say that the included mounting brackets were a perfect fit in my truck.
Pros: Loud, Cheap, includes good mounts
Cons: Harsh, Distort easily

Amazing Speakers
Chuck from Avondale, AZ on 10/8/2021
2005 Toyota 4Runner
I replaced my lower 6x9 front and 6.5 rear door speakers a year ago and my systems sounds way better, but the small speakers seemed ok and didn't seem to do much anyway. There's no wiring harness for them and the Toyota mount would have to be fabricated, so I just lived with it as is. I then noticed that my center dash speaker was turning to dust, so I searched and found these Kicker speakers that came with the mounting hardware and everything I needed. I de-soldered the wires from the Kicker speakers, verified the speaker polarity with a 9 volt battery and soldered the factory wiring harness to the new speakers. I previously read that the volume would be lower because I was replacing 2 Ohm speakers with 4 Ohm, but the Kicker's seem to have greater sensitivity, so they are actually brighter and have a fuller sound than the factory JBL's. The factory wire harness had a 22 pico farad capacitor on the positive side of the harness, so I replaced them with the included 150 pico farad capacitors. Before, I could kind of hear my top speakers, but now, I know what my system had been missing. The difference is just amazing, now that I can hear all the highs. I needed 5 of these speakers, so I bought 3 sets and have a spare, Kicker really thought of everything with these and the mounts were an exact fit.
Pros: Great sound, everything included in the box. Exact fit,
Cons: Had to de-solder the wires and solder and shrink wrap the new (included) capacitor to the factory wiring harness.

Drop right in with supplied mounting brackets in 2015 Crosstrek dash location. Crutchfield supplied metra factory to aftermarket connectors, Nice. But they were way to long for me, 36 inches, so I cut, then solder, then heat shrink. Sound good with my 4 Pioneer 4-way door speakers. NOTE : for older Crosstrek owners with 6.2 screen and no nav, maybe newer models as well. Make sure the Vocal Image Control function is adjusted forward to 5 or 6 to bring higher frequencys to dash and front doors. Radio sounds better with less distortion at higher volumes.
Pros: Sound good and fit in factory dash location.
Cons: Wiring capacitors in line isn't much fun ! Should have been done at factory, with 2nd set wires if you don't need them.

I never thought they were that important because I always install 2-way or 3-way speakers in my doors, but I was wrong. This completely changed my mind. Unfortunately Crutchfield doesn't offer a speaker wiring harness, so I had to cut the factory speaker wires, which I don't like to do. The speaker wiring goes from the headunit to the dash, then splits and goes to the door, so it's important to install the bass blocker capacitor that comes with the speakers. Otherwise all the bass coming from the headunit will hit your dash speakers the same as they hit the door speakers which isn't good. See my pictures on how I soldered the capacitor inline with the speaker wire. Overall I'm happy with the sound improvement.
Pros: - Price - Sound quality even with OEM headunit - Comes with a bass blocking capacitor - Comes with speaker adapter to fit in Tacoma Dash location
Cons: - Does not come with instructions on how to install the speaker adapter. Make sure you sandwich the speaker between the two plates. - Bass blocker capacitor comes loose in the box, so you'll need to solder it yourself. It would be nice if this came pre-installed in a short wiring harness so you can just plug and play. - You need to cut the OEM speaker wires to install this.

Great option for dash speakers!
Justin from Denver, CO on 6/23/2021
2017 Chevrolet Volt
They sound great! Direct fit into my dash. I HIGHLY recommend installing the provided bass blockers and not accidentally throwing them away like I did. I purchased 800hz bass blockers I bought to replace the orphaned ones that were supplied. Without them (on a stock head unit for a Chevy volt at least) the bass will make them sound like they are going to blow (I have 15w per channel). The speakers provide very clear highs and good sounding mid range. I highly recommend them.
Pros: Clear sound Zero distortion Wide rms range Great price for high quality dash mount speakers.
Cons: ABSOLUTELY needs the bass blocking capacitors installed. Or buy your own, but I would not install them without.

Great little speakers
Eric from Sanborn, NY on 1/6/2021
2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
I absolutely love these and they deliver solid highs. Kicker gives garbage instructions though, using the included sheet, you have to scan a code to view the manual. Even then there is no info on how to install the capacitors (bass blockers". I debated on giving these 4 stars based on that. Using the included capacitors requires soldering, not every person will realize this and will be left head scratching. As an alternative, I chose to put in 600hz aftermarket blockers (can buy on Crutchfield). These aftermarkets have standard wires which allows you to splice as opposed to soldering. I use wire nuts as I've never ever had one fail on me and in tight spaces, I find them the easiest. I wouldn't push these to hard (could distort or blow), which is why I opted for 600hz. I dont need bass from these, I have four 6.5 coaxials and a 10" sub for that. The included brackets worked great in my silverado. These make vocals and guitar solos sound so much better over oem speakers and I have them powered by the oem headunit. Plenty of room in the silverado to fit the wiring in. Highly recommended.
Pros: Price and quality seems great. Vocals and highs tones are more clear and crisp. A good option for lack of 2.75"'s on the market.
Cons: Not the speakers, but the install. Windshield gets in the way. Used needlenose plyers to remove top screw. Lack of instructions. Personal opinion, but I'd go with a higher blocker. These frequency. (Can fit in your palm and could distort and blow with too low of a freqency. Frequently out of stock.

Best dash speakers
Crutchfield customer from Clarksville, TN on 10/10/2020
2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
These really added another dimension that I was missing with my stock dash speakers. I have a 2016 Silverado and putting these in the dash was a little tricky but well worth it. You will have to solder the supplied capacitor. With most dash speakers they are wired to the front door speakers. So you will want to add the capacitor to the positive wire on the dash speakers. It keeps the smaller speakers in your dash from competing for bass with your bigger door speakers. Super happy with these dash speakers. I'm so glad kicker finally made something for us that have the odd 2-3/4 dash speakers. I highly recommend these. Cheers
Pros: Comes with three sets of brackets and fits nicely in 2-3/4 dash. Supplied with capacitors that works best for the speakers.
Cons: Capacitors aren't pre soldered No vehicle specific adapter, have to be soldered into factory speaker wires.

I put these into my 2016 JK Rubicon to replace the factory tweeters up in the dash. Getting existing tweeters out was a breeze. Only issue I had was that these Kickers come with wires soldered on the terminals so it wasn't necessarily a "clean" plug and play. I had to clip the wires and file down the solder on the terminals in order to get the supplied adaptors on so I could plug them into the existing hookup in the dash. Probably took an additional 15-20 mins more for this, but overall, much better sound quality with a factory look.
Pros: Sound, mounting brackets for a factory look install
Cons: Soldered attachments made it more difficult to use supplied adaptors for the vehicle. Had to modify slightly

Corey from Lehi, UT on 10/4/2020
2004 Toyota 4Runner
These replaced my 2004 Toyota 4Runner stock speakers. They have a great sound (only installed for a day). Clean, clear, crisp highs but to be expected after replacing 17yr old speakers. An important note on these speakers and I'm not sure about other Toyota products but there is some soldering required. The speakers come with a variety of mounting brackets and 2 capacitors that needed to be soldered to the speaker to make them function properly with the lower door speaker. There are no instructions on how to do this. I just soldered mine to match the factory speaker configuration (to the black wire terminal). Hope this helps.
Pros: Mounting brackets included Wiring included Optional/required capacitor included (Toyota)
Cons: Soldering required Zero instructions for what to do with the capacitor

Kicker live up to their name!
Crutchfield customer from Austin, TX on 10/3/2020
2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
You might think paper cones wouldn't live up to Kicker's sound quality. I wasn't expecting them to be this good, either, just decent factory replacements (15 year old paper was showing its age!). I was surprised. Not only did they sound good, and the distortion compared to the old speakers was completely gone, but SPL tested to be flat at mid to even higher volumes (up to about 80 dB sensitivity). Not pancake flat, but that's also not coming from an exceptional espérate amp, just a head unit, RMS 50 p/chan. The verdict these are great little speakers! And they have enough highs so you don't feel like you need silk or metal tweeters. They are rear pillars in my application, and are taking two channels tuned to upper mid and high range. Five stars are only reserved for audiophile-grade speakers that deliver flat sounds with lower sensitivity and have that magic extra 10% that's almost impossible to find. Thanks for carrying these great little speakers.
Pros: They fit well, brackets are excellent metal solutions, and they sound much better than expected for this price range, or even higher. SPL tested flat. Haven't heard any distortion even at higher volumes.
Cons: Build materials seem lower than other Kicker products at the same price, so expected durability is lower as well. Paper cones degrade more readily.

I was in need of corner dash speakers to replace my factor speakers so I decided to go with the Kicker 47KSC2704. I was amazed how clean and clear these little guys push out! Since I'm running all Kickers in my car that are all 6x9 3-way speakers, these little mid-range speakers balance everything out from the highs coming from the 6x9 3-aways in the car. Can't go wrong with the Kicker 47KSC2704.
Pros: Excellent sound quality Perfect direct fit
Cons: Do not make wiring harness so I had to cut short factory wiring in tight place but managed

Re: the Kicker 47KSC2704 and a Subaru Outback 2020... Mounting brackets DO NOT fit the car, doubtful that Crutchfield or Kicker has tested this product with the above automobile, but rather based their recommendations on older models. It's no wonder there are no available wiring harnesses or installation instructions, either packaged with the product or available on line. Splicing the wires was difficult, as the working area was cramped and existing wires were short. A GOOD SPEAKER for the price, but if no instructions, non-fitting adapters, and even missing color wires codes comes under the heading of "this will fit your car" by Crutchfield, then my future purchases will go elsewhere. All-in-all, NOT recommended for the 2020 Subaru Outback.
Pros: Nice speaker for the money
Cons: Does NOT fit a 2020 Subaru Outback as specified, does not include instructions, proper wiring harness, wiring color codes, or recommendation on using the capacitors.

Quality Sound at a great price. Nice upgrade to existing factory. Perfect fit in 2019 Silverado. At this point still have factory radio which made me wonder if the change is worth the time. So I finally decided to get some tweeter upgrades for my 2016 Tacoma. I knew it would be difficult since they don't have a wiring harness but that didn't stop me. With these kickers, you definitely have to splice and pay attention to colors. It is NOT that difficult though, just really takes some patience. Let me tell you, they sound superb in my truck, so much better than my stock tweets. They are incredibly clear and loud and sound just crisp as can be. Got to say thank you to Carl at Crutchfield for helping me line up the wires correctly. Called him three separate times and he was on top of my questions right away. He sent me diagrams and pictures that made it simple. Highly recommend these speakers. You will not be disappointed at all. So glad I purchased them.
