When installing this in a 2024 Toyota Corolla you need to purchase the adapter for the tweeters and modify it. There are four wires. Two come from the stereo, two go to the door speakers. I had to modify the harness to accommodate the crossover. Ideally this adapter should be shipped or offered as an option. To make it more complex, the wire colors from to the door do not match color schemes.
Pros: So far great as an OEM replacement. Once I purchase an amp and set the frequencies, I expect far better performance.
Cons: Great speaker option. I was considering a 3-way, but these seem to work out fairly well.

Love the silk dome tweeter. Works as a great multi-step upgrade from factory. Would have loved to add just a little more power but the sensitivity is excellent and really efficient. Plus, I wanted a cost-conscious DSP/amp combo so Kicker Key paired great and feeds them 50 clean watts RMS. Works well in '22 Ford Explorer no B&O. Plus the install info is indispensable! Can't beat Crutchfield's directions and harnesses for DIY and even custom installs. And their service answered all of my questions along the way, including other areas of my system. Best service in the business IMHO.
Pros: High sensitivity - easy to power Prefer slightly more colored, less sibilant sound of silk dome over other tweeter materials
Cons: Wish it had a full mid base cone but I'm not sure it matters because plenty midbase and running 10" sub for lows

Excellent Sound and Low Range
Christopher from Greer, SC on 6/6/2024
I had previously installed a great set of 6-3/4 inch speakers but wanted more bass. These fit perfectly in the door on my 2015 VW EOS Final Edition using the Metra 82-9010 speaker brackets and provide all the bass I was looking for. The tweeters are clear as can be without being harsh. Installation was a challenge as I wanted to use the existing sail panels for the tweeters to maintain a factory look and not block the defrost vents or drill through the A pillars.
Pros: Great overall sound with deep bass and clear highs
Cons: Too bad they don't offer these as a 6-3/4 inch option for a 3-way component set similar to KSS365

Don't let anyone tell you that a 6.75 doesn't fit where a 5.25 came stock. I got these in the front doors of my 2006 CRV and all I've got to say is They fit! & these definitely sound good. I've got them hooked up to a JVC 660BT and they just get clearer and louder when played loudly, they want more power. I matched them with the 6.75 2-ways in the back doors and this is a great setup. It's a shame Crutchfield doesn't sell them anymore. I didn't need the extra speaker mounts and utilized the mounts that came in the box. A little word to the wise, install some sound deadening in your doors and door panels while installing aftermarket speakers. Take your time and find everything that might rattle in your doors. Tighten all the bolts and screws your find along the way. Hit up Harbor F or add on a set of panel removal tools to your purchase to make the install easier, trust me that you'll use these tools again somewhere else.
Pros: Great sound overall. Add an amp and get even more, these ask for it. Still work great with any stereo. Surprisingly shallow for a woofer at almost 7in. Fit in factory 5.25 holes with no modifications to the door or speakers on my 2006 Honda CRV.

This is my 6th set of kicker KS series speakers and they never disappoint!! The tweeters are not overly bright (which I prefer) but yet they are super smooth!!! In my opinion, they are on par with AudioFrog for a third of the price!! Buy them you won't regret it!!
Pros: Everything
Cons: Just being super picky... the speaker wires on the crossovers are labeled with just a small paper tag that easily falls off. I think a better option is for kicker to etch input/Twitter/mid right into the crossover. Again, just being super picky. Other than that, they are awesome

2017 Tundra - Kicker 6 1/2" speaker installationss
Kerry from Hurricane, UT on 2/5/2023
2017 Toyota Tundra
These speakers appear well built and installed relatively straightforward. Biggest challenge is finding a location to install the 4ea. crossover units tied to each speaker. I installed 4ea. of these speakers on my 2017 Tundra Limited Double Cab at each door. Drilling into the door in necessary to attach each crossover unit and suggest making a hole template beforehand to mark the drill holes is highly recommended. Only main issue is that I needed to install spacers for the front door speakers/adaptor plate so the back of the speakers don't rub on the door window steel channel assembly as these speakers are deeper than the stock (non-JBL) OEM speakers (see attached pictures). [Note: I also installed Kicker speakers in the Front Center (3 1/2" - no picture/Corners (Tweeter pictures shown)] Crutchfield did forget to provide the rear speaker adaptors that are required, but they promptly are sending this at no cost. And their online tech support is excellent - as always! Much appreciated.
Pros: - Crutchfield online support excellent (as always) - Kicker speakers appear to be good quality - Installation parts/hardware worked great
Cons: - Installation not for beginners - Crutchfield missed including new rear speaker adaptors, but promptly are sending. - Need to utilize more zip ties than initially provided (no big deal)

Great if an easy install is a priority
Aaron from Bloomington, IN on 9/18/2022
These are really good, very loud speakers however I found the mids needed the high pass set around 150-200HZ. Also they loose some detail when there's lots of competing high frequencies - sounds great if there is not an over representation in the high frequency range. They sound better then the "compare the sound" feature but you can hear the loss of high frequency details on some of the sample tracks. I've say these are 4 star speakers however they get an extra star for being a really easy install: the crossover is small and light so one can plug stock wiring into the crossover and then be velcroed (with industrial strength verlcro) to the door. Also the the crossover comes pre-wired with connectors that plug right into the speakers so extra crimping or cutting of terminal required on these which is a huge bonus. I'd say a sub-woffer is pretty much mandatory, sounded really good with a kicker sub-box.
Pros: Easy install pre-wired crossover plugs into speaker terminals loud very durable
Cons: lower mid-range is lacking a bit loss of detail in the high end on some tracks

I installed 2 pairs of the Kicker 47KSS6704 speakers in my Honda CRV as part of a complete sound system replacement. These deliver smooth, clean highs and tight, punchy mids & mid-bass. I can push them hard in terms of SPL, and the sound does not degrade. The passive crossovers can be a bit tricky to install in the doors, but I was able to find an acceptable placement without much modification. Overall, I'm thoroughly satisfied with this purchase.
Pros: Smooth, clean highs Tight, punchy mids & mid-bass Definition holds up under high SPL
Cons: Passive crossovers can be tricky to install inside doors.

A significant improvement to factory speakers in my 2022 Toyota Venzas. Had the 6 speakers base model system. In my opinion, the base system now sounds better than the factory upgraded JBL system.
Pros: Extremely good sound even with no additional amplifier.
Cons: Very difficult installation, at least for me due to location of factory wiring and no good place for the crossovers. They would not fit in the doors or up in the corners of dash where tweeters are located. Ended up having to put them under dash behind the glove compartment. All and All it's worth it for the improvement in sound quality.

Great buy - very crisp and clear
Allen from Milford, OH on 7/27/2022
2020 Subaru WRX STI
Great set of speakers. Bought both the 6 3/4 components for front and 6 1/2 coaxials for the rear for my 2020 Subaru WRX STI. The brackets were frustrating at first since it was advertised "no drilling required", but once committed to modifying the brackets and drill into the door, it was much smoother. Have a 75w RMS 4-channel running this set and it's plenty loud. Very crisp and clear. I used sound deadening behind the speakers, speaker gasket between door/bracket and bracket/speaker, and used roadkill surround to keep waves from getting trapped in between door panel and door. The K-Series speakers are above average in the "mid class" speakers (between c- and q- series). Very happy with the set up and would highly recommend - and take the extra time to run new door speakers from the amp and add sound deadening. Both are a must if you want a true upgraded mids/highs system!
Pros: -Silk dome tweeter separates this from the competition - is very soft and clear enough to cut through the 500w+ 12" JL W6v2 that's pounding the trunk -easy to use tweeter boost on the crossover -woofers sound great and provides very adequate mid bass (not quite the coverage a 6x9 would offer for mid bass range, but close) -shallow mount -brackets allow for easy install -"can" attach tweeters to woofer to make as coaxial, but not sure why one would do this
Cons: -need to buy a 1 3/4" hole saw ($15) for template to make tweeters fit - would be nice if there were breakaway sections on the templates like there are on the speaker brackets -modification is needed to brackets and new holes drilled in doors (use a socket on your drill bit to prevent punching through metal too far) -crossovers are a little large, making location in proximity of both tweeter and woofer potentially challenging -instructions from Kicker are worthless

Randy from MESA, AZ on 7/4/2022
2005 Toyota Tacoma
First, I'm not a "Audio File" but the sound of these are just ok. My .02 cents is get the best speakers you can afford, I think speakers biggest difference? Second, I care more about the sound coming from under hood & out the tailpipe/s. I purchased a mint condition older Tacoma Reg. cab & a friend is a GM for a Toyota performance shop. I told him what I found & sent photos! His first words were "I want it!" The shop is working w/ a supercharger co. on a new system. The supercharger ended up in the truck. So now I was able to upgrade many other things to make a little sleeper. My stereo installer wanted to add deader/weight to the doors, no way! The stereo system goes in w/ a small amp, small self powered sub mounted solid to the back of the cab & these in the doors. Sounds a lot better than stock but my installer KEEPS insisting we need to add sound deader. So I cave in, the sound is better after adding the weight/sound deadening to the doors. He then sends photos and the promo videos the performance shop made of the Tacoma to a speaker manufacturer & asks for a little sponsorship. He gets a sweet deal on some really GREAT speakers. Then changes the speakers. OH MY GOD what a difference I could NOT believe the difference? Can't see the speakers behind the door panels but here's a interior photo.

Great Sounding Speakers
Joseph from Leola, PA on 11/22/2021
2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JL)
This component system was installed in a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL dash, it took the entire day. The sound is fantastic, however, not louder than the factory speakers in the soundbar which are different ohms. The instructions from Crutchfield were easy to follow, just very time consuming since you need to remove just about everything from the front dash. With the larger woofers, I also had to replace the speaker pods. I also used different tweeter holders, than the ones provided by Crutchfield (they did not include any holes for the tweeters). The woofers are solid and product a good amount of bass, the tweeters sound decent, however I encountered issues with the cross-over. The tweeters would not work with the cross-over plugged into the knee panel, but they did work with the cross-over plugged into the dashboard corners. The cross-overs are mounted within each knee panel pod, the wire come down from the speaker dash, to the cross-over, and then back up to the tweeter. The woofers are just plugged directly into the knee panel without a cross-over and still sound great. Note: I did not install any external amps, and the sound still has the capability to be very loud.
Pros: Great sound and Crutchfield customer service, who provided direction regarding my cross-over issue.
Cons: Bad tweeter mounting brackets, and a few broken clips when removing various pieces of the dash.

Effiecient power, sloppy accuracy.
David from Duluth, MN on 5/9/2021
2016 Nissan Versa SV
These kickers do get loud, they have no problem having a powerful amplifier behind them. But they're not accurate and they need a lot of tuning. If left untuned it leaves a harsh shrill in your ears after every listening session. It's sensitivity is great but not if it's full of peaks and nulls. The accessories come in the box are very helpful. The tweeters fit in many locations and the crossovers are nice and slim. But if you're looking for quality, this is not for you. If you're looking for a minor upgrade over your stock oem speakers without breaking the bank? Yeah, these ones should do alright. Just don't expect anything more and you'll be fine.
Pros: Loud, able to mount in many places, decent power handling.
Cons: Inaccurate frequency response, needs alot of tuning, not meant for sound quality.

The crossovers are very compact, so if that's how you're gonna install the set, you'll have no problem fitting them. I also have a Kicker Key 500.1 and a 10" Prime series Rockford Fosgate sub. These are great as the front stage, phenomenal with a subwoofer. My head unit is a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X303. These sound really good no matter the source. GREAT for rock and metal, but sound excellent with jazz and classical as well.
Pros: Excellent clarity Very detailed mid-bass Shallow depth makes for an easy install
Cons: Not necessarily a con, but they were obviously designed to be used with external amps and a subwoofer.

Replace the Morels in rear door of 2019 tundra with these bad boys. Morels went out in a year. Pushing 75w rms to them. Definitely hear the difference in bass. Can really crank them up without distortion.
Pros: Good bass, low distortion at high volume
Cons: None yet

2004 Toyota Tundra
Bought them for my son's Toyota Tundra to fit in lower front doors. Running them active with ~ 90 watts per channel. They sound great, loud and clear. You do need to give them some power. Tried them at first at 50 watts per channel and thought they were okay, but adding the extra power made a huge difference.
Pros: Shallow enough to fit factory location on Tundra. Loud and clear.
Cons: None

Great sounding speakers

2017 Toyota Tundra
Installed these in my 2017 Tundra. These speakers definately made a big difference in sound even with the use of the stock head unit. I can actually turn the volume up higher without hearing distortion compared to the factory speakers. Can't wait to install an amp to power these bad boys!! Love the Option to run tweeter and mid woofer separate or as a component together, Great job Kicker!!
Pros: Sound great! Allows for greater flexibility to install with different mounting options.
Cons: Non so far!

Amazing Sound, very loud and distortion free!
Brent from Carmel, IN on 1/26/2021
These component speakers sound amazing when properly placed for imaging and adequately powered with an amplifier. I use these in my MR2 Spyder and power then with a Sound Ordnance M100-2 amp and wow they produce very loud distortion free sound. I highly recommend then to anyone.
Pros: High power rating, versatility with mounting tweeter, quality sound reproduction.
Cons: NOT A CON but absolutely must be used with external amp to enjoy the full quality of this product.

Sound bright and thin

Compared to pairs of JL Audio C2 and TR600, what heard from the KS's high is a bright and thin sound, seems from plastic-like speakers, not life-like musics.

Put these in rear doors of my 2016 Ford F150, with some Kicker Comp RT 6 3/4" woofers in the front doors, and four 3/4" silk dome tweeters in the pillars and center console(custom adapter). The tweeters are attached to the center and fit perfectly. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome sound! Running them off of a Pioneer AVH 2550-NEX. This truck sounds Awesome.
Pros: Fit perfectly in stock location with Crutchfield's accessories. Crossover fit right above the woofer with plenty of clearance. Sound is crystal clear and Awesome.
Cons: None.

Great Speaker Set
Jeremy from Nelsonville, OH on 9/20/2020
2019 Hyundai Tucson
Great sounding speaker set. A tremendous upgrade from factory. I replaced all of the speakers in the doors of my 2020 Kona (non-Infinity) with these KS Components. It was like someone literally took heavy blankets off of my cars sound. They have incredible bass response and sparkling clear highs. I paired my KS sets with a 12" Q-Class L7 sub being pushed by a Kicker KX 1200 watt amp and they hold their own perfectly while being pushed by only the factory head. They have solid construction and nice heavy magnets. I can't say enough about how much I love these speakers. Well worth the money and I plan on replacing the speakers in my wife's 2019 Tucson with these.
Pros: Solid Construction, Crystal Clear Highs, Punching Bass Response, Really Nice Quality Components, Multiple Mounting Options For Tweeters, New Life For Your Cars Audio
Cons: I Didn't Buy Them Sooner
