Fantastic speakers

Fit perfectly in my Mazda 3 front doors. They sent the adapters and harness, everything worked great huge improvement over the factory speakers Stock head unit drives them nicely. Good highs and lows. Much better than I had expected.

Octaves better than OEM

When you look at the OEM speakers and see how pitiful they are, a cardboard Whizzer-style "tweeter", and a cardboard cone placed atop a magnet that can barely attract a random piece of metal, you'll appreciate the quality-to-price ratio of these Kickers. A poly cone and separate dome tweeter improve the sound dramatically. After installation, the first thing you will want to do is re-level your car's sound system. Having speakers with actual tweeters requires adjusting the settings to optimize your experience. Please note that the OEM speakers were smaller, but their poor quality would have resulted in no improvement in sound quality even if they were larger.

Not the results I'd hoped for; speaker is smaller than expected

2016 CX-5 non-Bose: >> I feel shorted in the actual cone diameter of this 6.5 inch speaker. Yes, I know cone measurements are skewed industry wide, but the cone diameter of this 43DSC6504 is only 5 inches (measure from the outermost part of the surround). The rest of the frame makes it a "6.5". << As far as sound, it is too early to tell if the new Kicker 6.5 sounds better than the Mazda OE speaker. I only installed the 1 on the p-side. I do have Kicker 43DSC3504 coax in the upper dash and chose the 43DSC6504 to match. Speakers are being powered by the factory HU (maybe 15W). Honestly, getting the door panel off was one of the harder parts. I installed the speaker upside down to put the terminals at the top as there is plenty of room behind the (supplied) Metra adapter. The Kicker speaker magnet does not protrude past the back of the adapter. The (supplied) wire harness worked flawlessly. There is so much room I could have gone with a speaker that is up to 1.5 inches deeper (like an 8" woofer). I made the installation harder by adding aluminum/foil backed sound deadener (never getting aluminum/foil backed deadener again). I also used a silicone baffle. Putting the actual Kicker speaker in wasn't terrible. I added a washer to the included screws to give more bite on the speaker U-shaped mounting flanges. If the new Kicker sounds like poop, I will put the OE speaker back in.

What a difference!

Thought a simple speaker upgrade would maybe help a little after purchasing a new head unit since it was long over due to be replaced. The sound was lackluster to say the least. As you can see in the picture, that's what remains of the front factory ones and the rears were missing completely. Enter these bad boys all the way around. It's like a deaf person hearing for the first time. Compliments the factory subwoofer and doesn't mind being cranked up. Surrounded by sounds that have long been missed and now fully appreciated

Great midrange sound

Great sounding midrange speaker. Installed 4 of these in factory locations in 98 RAV4, powered by 45w x 4 amp. Theses 6.5's provide the perfect amount of mid and highs to complement my 10" sub. This is the fourth vehicle that I've used these speakers in.

2015 Mazda 3 Upgrade

I replaced stock Mazda 3 speakers (2015). The Kicker speakers were a perfect match in size and nice upgrade in sound. Highs are much more crisp and the bass much better. Crutchfield recommended the speakers via search and also recommended brackets and wiring which they included with the purchase of the speakers. Very happy with my purchase.

These went into my sons 02 Chevy Impala base. At the moment all we have them connected to is deck power. So far they sound great and they were easy to install. However the connectors that we got with them actually did not work with his front door speakers however they were the connectors that go into the 6x9s that were on the rear deck. But overall very happy with the kickers.

Blew out quickly

Never had a speaker in this price point actually blow out until these. Ive had 9 sets of after market speakers over the years and never had one blow out. I dont listen to high volumes at all, and both speakers blew out at different times. The first speaker died after 18mos, the second at about 26 months. Ive had other speakers last 10+ years without blowing out. Would not recommend due to low grade reliability. Im a "buy it once" person and these are far from "buy it once." Im now in the market for a replacement that wont make me replace it after 2.5 years.

Nice little upgrade

Swapped all 4 door speakers in my 2018 Chevy Equinox for these Kicker's. The faded lows are gone and nice mids/highs are evident. I'll be adding a small Amp to get even more out of these

Better sound over OEM

Big improvement in sound over the OEM speakers. Installation was very easy. Plenty of online videos showing how to remove door panels and install speakers. New speaker brackets and wiring harness from Crutchfield made hook up very smooth. Would recommend.

Sounds good

Got these to replace the boring stock speakers in my Camaro. Make sure to match the RMS of these speakers with the correct amplifier, if you plan on adding one or already have one. If your amp is putting out 65watts RMS per channel x 4, you will be good. They sounds good so far. No clipping or distortion.

Daughter's 04 Honda Pilot Brought to Life

My 17 year old daughter wanted to upgrade her car audio. She grew up with me doing installs for friends and family and as a part time job for a company. I was always modifying our vehicles. When she came to me telling me she had saved some money to upgrade her factory setup, I was excited. I asked her if we could do a budget build and see if she would be happy with it. Didn't want her to break the bank. We put these Kickers front and rear powered by a JVC KD-X280BT. A Memphis Audio Street Reference Amp is powering a 10" Kicker Comp @ 150 RMS in the back. She bought all components for under $400. Install took a just a few hours. The smile on her face when I picked her up from work was worth doing this in 95 degree heat. We are only a 3 days past install and as long as the items hold up I am pleased. Crutchfield is always easy to deal with. Included all I needed to install. Thanks Crutchfield for helping me make my kid smile.

Good speaker but.

It's a good product, made well, just not what I was looking for. Great overall mid to treble option but if you're looking for a lower frequency driver, just go for a component system. I learned my lesson and just trying to help out those that were in my position.

Good sound for price

Good sound quality but low scale mid and bass were kind of lacking. Excellent fit in my 01 Silverado doors and decent sound quality when turned up reasonably loud (about 3/4 or a little more volume of radio). Over all very good purchase for price.

I have the Kicker 46CXA360.4T (4 Channel Amp) and after adjusting the AMP controls, gain etc. These sound amazing. If you get the amp I just mentioned you wont be disappointed. I didn't need the installation items as I already had. I also already had the Kicker 46HS10 Powered Sub but Imma tell you these speakers even sound like they have some added bass to them. I don't know but all I can say is when I am not driving I feel like going out and just sitting in my truck and listening. For the money this is a no brainer.

The Kickers are amazing!

I bought these to replace a blown out speaker in my 2016 Lincoln MKZ and they sound amazing. Unfortunately, the speakers in the back now need to be replaced to match the sound quality of the front speakers. Crutchfield adding in the wiring adapters and speaker mounts made this install easy! Great job Crutchfield.

Less Than Impressed

Let's just say....less than impressed. My 2015 Tacoma's original head unit blew out the right side speaker after 4 months of use. Have zero mods to the stereo system, just the weak junk Toyota puts in their vehicles.

Bought for a 2004 Honda Accord after install of an after-market (Android/Apple Play) radio. New radio didn't play nice with the OEM system, but these Kicker speakers brought the sound quality back to OEM and then beyond with the radio's equalizer adjustments. Installation is easy with the Crutchfield provided instructions and the free brackets and wiring harnesses made this a worry free install. I didn't make use of the decorative covers that came with the speakers as the '04 Accord interior would leave some ugly gaps otherwise. If you can make use of the covers I would highly recommend it as they make the speaker fully "pop" and bring the design all together.

Easy install, very clear with no distortion even at higher volume. They are powered with an 320 watt MB quart 4 channel amp. Decent bass response, getting better as I'm tuning the amp and head unit. Great Kicker quality paired with Crutchfield's top notch customer service, how could you go wrong!

Kicker 6.5" Front Door Speakers

I called and talked to my customer service rep Violet and she was so courteous, knowlegeable and really helped me choose the right speakers for the CRV. I left the stock head unit in and just replaced the two front speakers. I picked the Kicker's and they came with the speaker wire adapters, the mounting plates and detailed instructions. It was such an easy task with the provided instructions and it didn't wear this old man out to bad. This is my second purchase from Crutchfield and if they had a "10 Star" rating I would have given them that. I wish all businesses would have the customer advisors that Crutchfield does. I wholeheartedly recommend that you give Crutchfield a call and let these amazing people help you out. The Kickers are amazing and really livened up the stock stereo system. I just cannot describe how pleasant the overall experience with dealing with Crutchfield really is. Amazing service from a 100% satisfied customer.

Big difference in bass

Not a speaker head just yet, I'm trying to get into it. The sound of the new speakers compared to the old ones are a lot better. With my OEMs one speaker was out and the other (when bass the treble hits) just sounded like take a rock in a soda can. There is better clarity after playing with it on my Alpine radio I got from this website as well. Maybe it varies from person to person, but the only thing about the product I didn't like is that if you are new to this you are kinda in the dark on what order you should do things. After sitting in my car trying to figure out what screw goes where that being long or short. On if I didn't need the face guard over the speakers or not and how to install that as well as the brackets. Overall, I do love everything, can't complain about the bass because it's better than the buzzing I'd get, but my only nitpick was the time I wasted putting in two speakers being around 3-4hrs compared to being done within an hour or 2.
