Great speakers great price!

Exceeded my expectations Iv previously had the little brother of these speakers and these are a huge upgrade. Provides good lows & highs. If you're looking for a subwoofer bass get a sub. If not then these are great!!

Replaced my stock ASA 6.5 to these new Kicker 6.5 on my Pontoon boat. I could not believe the difference in sound, way more clarity and Bass. I hooked them up to my courtesy lights which were already blue, so I just hooked up the blue and it looks awesome. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an upgrade, plus the price was right.

Can't use led lights

They sound great but disappointed that I cannot use the led lights. Did not know you had to run so many more wires for the lights. Having them installed in a tritoon boat is a major and expensive job! Guess it's my fault for not doing enough research

Speakers look good and sound good. I havent tried the LEDs out yet. Brand new box and speakers. Crutchfield didnt try to send me an open box like some other companies selling speakers. Product came right away and extra box with packing peanuts were used so I think they are a good online retailer from my experience so far.

Wrangler JLU install tips

Loving these speakers! I mounted in my Wrangler JLU rollbar using the JL increments mount kit. Had to carve out some to accommodate the decent sized magnets, but it was not too bad. Novice installers need to know, you need wiring connectors handy, some RGB wire to run between the speakers as well as red/black for RGB ground and power. Also, do not tighten the pods if you have the rollbar speaker box removed, as you will have an extremely difficult time getting the interior dome light ceiling panel to slip in past the overhang of the pod on the forward facing edge. Maybe be smarter than me and get that panel mounted prior to speaker box bolt up.

Just do it

Sound great for my pontoon. We have a pontoon that came with some poor-sounding ASA speakers. We initially replaced the Jensen radio with a Kicker KMC4. It helped but didn't make a lot of difference. I then added these speakers and the difference was day and night. So much louder and significantly more clear. No more distortion at higher volumes. As far as the LED option, all of our lights are blue so we only hooked up the blue LED option. It was easy because we have the courtesy lights just below each speaker so I only had to tap off of those wires. With that, it allows me to turn the LEDs for the speakers on and off with the rest of our courtesy and underside lighting. I also installed some angled beveled rings to stage the speakers up a little more than just firing directly at the level of our ankles.

Two kits?

My only issue was that the remote and LED setups were sold separately. There should have been two kits, one with everything and one without. It's a love-hate situation. It is written that the remote is sold separately but needs to work with the LEDs.

I really like these. They sound great and seem very well built. At first, I thought the lights would be silly but they actually look really good and I am in the process of swapping all other speakers over to the the same style. I bought these to replace some JLAudio speakers that didn't hold up well. I am super happy with these Kickers!

Easy install. If you purchase the remote option for the LED lights. Read wiring instructions from remote as they are different than wiring speakers without remote access. Speaker sound great.

Running 4 in a MasterCraft ski boat - so far, so good

After being a devout JL Audio fan for years, I decided to give these Kicker 6.5" speakers a try in my newly acquired 2000 MasterCraft ProStar 205. The Kickers are powered by a JL 700/5 amp sending 75 watts a channel and all organized by a Clarion M508 head unit. I also added a Kicker 8" tube sub from a previous boat, also powered by the JL amp's sub channel of 300 watts. I ran all new wire since I knew I'd be needing something for the LED lights. So far, I am very impressed. The speakers came well packaged and having both white and gray grills was a nice touch. The system is plenty loud and the lights are not overpowering and match the interior nicely.

Great Sound

These speakers sound great. I am surprised how much bass they produce. I still have 2 KM60 speakers paired with these in the front of my boat all powered from a Pyle 400 watt amp. My boat ROCKS!!!!

Great sound and look but tough to wire lights

First of all, the speakers are sharp looking and easy to install thanks to the enclosed template. The changeable grills allow you to customize the look nicely. Second of all, they sound great! Very clear and they can pump out the sound even without an additional amp. I held back one star though because one of the main reasons I bought these was for the changeable LED feature. You'd think they would market some clips and a wiring harness and some good instructions to get the most out of this feature. Nope! You have to either know or be able to figure out where to get compatible wires, switches, inline fuses and how to solder and install them or hire a professional to do it for you. Cutting the holes and installing the speakers is the easy part! Getting the lights to work is another thing all-together.

I bought these speakers to install in the bow of my boat, they're built very solid and sound great, I wired the lights to be white and wired them to a switch to light the bow section of the boat at night. You can't go wrong with Kicker speakers.

Nice Upgrade over Factory Speakers

These were a real nice upgrade to the factory speakers that were in my Polaris Slingshot. They fit perfectly with the only caveat being the screws for the speakers were not made for my Slingshot speaker pods. I would recommend these as a viable upgrade to the factory system. I do not have an after market amp so I do not know performance with anything other than stock.

Impressive 6.5 speaker

Haven't hooked up the RGB lights yet but the speakers are very loud and crisp. I'm powering 4 of the 6.5's with a Kenwood head unit. So far I'm very impressed with how they sound on my 22ft bow rider boat. Love the choice of two grills, easy to install and overall good quality. Would definitely buy again.

Big sound out of a small speaker and at a reasonable price. The RGB lights are easy to wire up. Like the added feature you can light up the boat without having to find a flashlight. Also brings some life to the music. Would purchase again.

These things BANG! I installed 4 of these 6.5" on my golf cart with a fusion amp and a 10" sub. I had to order some more parts but in the meantime I have the back two hooked up and the sound quality of just two is insane. I am a huge audiophile and these sound CLEAN while being very loud. I cant wait to have all four hooked up with the sub. No, its not needed because these sound so perfect but what the hey, I already have it and the fusion amp will push it so why not install it ?

Party boat lighting

Was very impressed with the LED lights in the grills.. very bright. Lots of fun with the Kicker LED controller. They got nice and loud on a small 4ch amp. The white and grey grills are a nice touch so you don't accidentally order the wrong color. The way they're built they are completely sealed between front and back, so they're waterproof as advertised.
