Morel MPS 4.400 amp is superb.
Nolan from Theodore, AL on 4/4/2023
2004 GMC Sierra 1500
I used this amp with the 5-1/4" Morel coaxial speakers in front and some Kappa 4X6 coaxial speakers in the suicide doors of my extended cab Sierra. The sounds are extraordinary. The bass is enough for me. The highs and mids are superb. Highly recommended the Morel treatment.
Pros: Great amp compliments Morel coaxial speakers. Great combination.
Cons: None.

Soundstage like a $3K Home Audio amplifier!
Aric from Palmer, MA on 6/8/2022
This amplifier exceeded my expectations by far! I am only using it to power my front components in 2 channel bridged mode, my subwoofer is powered by a Hertz class D. I am running a Kenwood Excelon HU, a set of custom components featuring the Dayton RS-180s and Morel MDT-22s in the sail panels, and a JL Audio small box 10" under the seat of my 2022 Ford Ranger. Sub duty is handled by 350 watts of Hertz class D power. I've tried out almost half dozen amplifiers for the front stage of my truck, an RF Prime 75wx4, a Hertz 100wx2 class AB, an Alpine 120wx4 class D, and an old school MTX 2150X. All had plenty of power, but shortcomings in the delivery of pure, effortless sound from 80hz on up. Most project the music forward in an aggressive manner which leads to listener fatigue. Not the Morel, the Morel is more neutral, transparent and effortless in its delivery with beautiful tonality and colors present in the recordings. I feel like the amplifier breaths the recording out in a way that usually only a high end Pass Labs, or even a tube amplifier can do. The amplifier does run hot, and I will be installing a fan on it (again I am bridging the amplifier to product 200 wpc to my components), but given the price point I will gladly do so. I have not heard a car amplifier that sounds this warm and lifelike in my 35 years of being into car audio. Previously I used to use Phoenix Gold M50s, old school USAcoustics (by Zed), and some older Hifonics and Sony amps. The Morel stands tall!
Pros: Gorgeous tonality and colors, vivid realism for a car amplifier. The soundstage moves higher and spreads beyond the speakers. Bridged operation is perfect for clean headroom with some serious component speakers
Cons: Runs hot, could use a fan.

Nice amp. It seems a little down on power right out the box. But, once the amp bakes in, there is a definite increase in output.
Pros: Clean design Easy installation Nice warm sound

Clear, warm and detailed
Ernest from Fremont, CA on 6/23/2021
Finish quality is excellent, sound quality is excellent, power is excellent. I am running morel hybrid components and paired with this amp truly is worth every penny. I had another Class AB amp from DD audio with more power and it did not sound as good as the Morel does. Immediately I noticed the bass response was better, the highs more detailed, overall just more separation in sounds. I was hesitant to spend money on a more amp but I'm glad The DD amp died because then I wouldn't have gotten to try this Morel amp. Do your self a favor and get this amp instead of cheaper options if you are running a high end set like I am.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Wish it had 100 watts at 4 ohm but not a deal breaker

This is a great amp! I'm still surprized at the price. Not bad. I've got it running a Fosgate T1S2 12. Sounds great.
Pros: Easier to conceal than expected, given absolutely no issues, nice clean look and delivers more than I could have asked!

I'm In the Process of getting equipment for a used car a purchased. I had this unit set up with my home audio test equipment I am very familiar with (Rotel analog Pre-amp and Oppo Blu-ray player going right into the amp running Paradigm Studio Speakers. The 3 car audio Amps I have compared are 2 Audio control ACM 1.300 (d-class amp 1 for left and 1 right), Hertz HCP 4 (ab-class amp), and the Morel MPS 4.400 (ab-class amp). Morel very nice sound, good image, clear, and relaxed. The stage was fairly wide and projected high (above speakers) Hertz, slightly different sound then morel more in your face, still good (wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't A-B them). Good staging little narrower then morel. The stage projected at the height of the speakers. Audiocontrol. First off these are a D class amp and I was hoping tech would have improve in car audio since I last tried the JL audio HD amps (did not like JL HD's compared to their slash series). Also, the ACM 1.300 was meant to be a sub amp, but I watched a YouTube video where the sales rep said it would be just fine for full range. I will be using this amp as a SUB amp (but not a mid bass amp) the sound was not bad, but seemed to lose the passion in the music, I had a hard time picking out the center stage. I would say its an average amp and for most would sound great. (example. better then stock earbuds from an iPhone) Noticeable but not quite there.
Pros: Good stage, clean sound
Cons: logo can not be rotated would like a fuse in amp (things can happen in the 6" of cable between fuse and amp.)

Excellent SQ Amp
Gary from Ventura, CA on 12/12/2019
I never heard of morel, but I thought I would give it a shot, especially considering the awesome specs > low THD and high signal to noise ratio. Im a audiophile and like to hear all of the instruments in the soundstage. I can say that Im extremely pleased with the SQ of this amp, and would say its comparable to my old school xtant x604 amp. Cant go wrong with this, better SQ then jl audio or rockford in this price range.

Chasing Sonic Clarity? Here you go...
Crutchfield customer from Campbell, CA on 7/9/2019
Driving my aftermarket 6.5" CDT front speakers and a 10" Kicker subwoofer with this new Morel amp, and WOW am i surprised and infinitely happy to have made this purchase. The clarity of the voices, and music notes, is incredible! I can hear the different levels of sounds, it feels like, and I can just sit there with the car off and just listen to my music. I went for this amp due to it's rating of the (wider) frequency range, and lower THD numbers. I'm using a Pioneer DEH-80PRS head unit, so i wanted to make sure my signal was nice and clear... Best money i've spent in a while, since i'm enjoying every moment i'm in the car!!!
Pros: + Sonic Clarity + Easy set up (Connections on one side) + Relatively small footprint
Cons: - None that i can really thing of, maybe moar power but i'm happy...

Purchased the amplifier to power two sets of Virtus 602s for the front stage of my system build. The sound is amazingly clean and clear. Couldn't be happier with the results.
Pros: Easy to install and sounds amazing. Clean powerful amplifier!
Cons: Now I want to buy another 4.400 and add more sound to the back seat area of my truck ;)

Dollar for dollar, best option out there.
Crutchfield customer from San Juan Capo, CA on 5/22/2019
Exceptionally powerful and clean. I have them mated to the Focal ISS 165's and they scream. If you are looking for an amp in this power range, compare the specs of the Morel MPS 4.400 to any other. Do your research and hear what the experts say about this amp and Morel in general if you are unfamiliar with their brand. When I did, hands down the Morel was the best choice for me.
Pros: Morel quality Powerful - suspect more than rated Price point
Cons: None

definitely a good amp to power some full range speakers, it did take a while to get it to sound the way i like but once done this thing bangs. This is for true sound quality lovers so look elsewhere if you want something powerful don't know why you would because 80 watt rms is enough to bleed your ears
Pros: doesn't run that hot for an AB class no external fuses
Cons: nothing

Amazing Amp i.have been into car audio for over 35 years and this amp is so powerful and so clean! i am running this amp in 4@ and it's going to a set of 6x9 ARC Audio's in the rear and a set of morel 5-1/4 in the dash and it blows my mind how good this amp really is! if you have any doubt's about the Morel line,do not over think it,just buy them and enjoy the results.can't get the smile of my face!
Pros: fairly small foot print.crossover points are accurate.super clean and very powerful for it's size.would buy another one in a heartbeat!
Cons: NONE!

Wow...
Crutchfield customer from Wilmington, NC on 8/27/2018
Honestly was on the fence about this amp. I wanted the cleanest undistorted sound I could find and new without going into astronomical prices a D amp just wasn't gonna cut it. As far as distortion goes it beat almost every amp I put it up against. It just so happens that the price is reasonable as well. I honestly don't think I could be any happier with it. The undeniable warmth of sound that only an AB can offer. Build quality is outstanding, and the footprint is reasonable fit under my passenger seat on my 4runner perfectly. So if you want old school quality build, audiophile quality sound reproduction, then look no further. I have this with a Pioneer 80 DEH-80PRS Head unit to higher end component speakers and a separate sub to fill in the low end.
Pros: Lack of distortion, build quality, and price.
Cons: Could have a little more power if I'm honest. 70 x 4 is a tad meh, but it is not lacking in power. I will never max out my system as I did not buy it to make my ears bleed I bought to listen to great music the way it was meant to be heard.

I swapped this amp for a JL audio xd400. Much better cleaner highs, espicially vocals. 70 x 4 is good. Then switched to the 200 x2 driving Morel hybird 6.5 components and amazing! Only complaint, at super high volume, distorts the piano music. Turn down a notch and perfect

Super sound quality!
This amp is super clean. I have the Morel 1.550 for a JL Audio 12w3v3 at 2ohms, and a Morel 4.400 for two pairs of Focal K2 Power 4 inch components, and it is a perfect matched system. I can't say anything about the crossover, because I am running it after a Mosconi DSP 6to8 Pro where I have all of my crossovers and EQ set up.

Love this amp. It has all the wires on one side and the level, crossovers, and adjustments are hidden under a small cover on the top of the amp. It also has a beautiful black textured powder coating. Super clean power at a awesome price and with Crutchfield's life time support it is the best choice
Pros: Super clean power easy instal with all connections on same side great price
Cons: I wish the mounting tabs were not sticking past the footprint of the amp itself

Four Stars! Not because its not a Five star.Because I have only had they Morel 4.400 amp for a short time. My rig is a Pioneer AVH-4201NEX, Focal 165AS Comp, and this Morel amp. To my ear, Highs are accurate. Mid's are also. I added the small 8in Pioneer subwoofer under the seat. The sub adds just a bit of punch that was missing. With the Morel 4.400 , the listening pleasure for me, has increased a lot. I hear the instruments. All of them. the amp adds warmth to the music. I do like the Focal speakers! But it leaves me wondering ,if the amp from Morel is this good, I bet the amp speaker combo from Morel would be awesome.
Pros: East Install,Does not get hot, Price was good,Fantastic listening pleasure.
Cons: Get back to you on cons if any arise. Non so far

The sound quality of this amp is superior to anything else in its price range! Being an A/B class amplifier gives this amp the kind of warmth and realism I was looking for. Most amplifiers with this kind of quality sound cost 5-10 times this amount. I just wish they made more power, but overall I'm very pleased with my new amps.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Needs more power, 70 is plenty, but I want more
