Crystal Clear

2019 Tacoma SR5 Factory Head Unit No Amp These speakers are much better than I expected using the factory radio. They could certainly benefit from an amp but in this project they are super clear and respond well to several types of music. The more volume you give them the better they sound. Very Nice

The stock speakers in my truck sucked. These don't! Great bass and super easy to install. Not a bad price either. Forgot to ask for the trim pry tools and when I reached out, you all sent me a set free of charge. Crutchfield is fantastic.

Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 MKII

I bought these as a scratch and dent but honestly couldn't tell. They were packaged perfectly and looked perfectly new. As far as I'm concern these were brand new, never opened. They actually came in better condition than the new Morel Maximo 6 MK II components that I bought. The Ultra Coax 602 MK II sound great! I ended up buying these because the Morel Maximo Coax 6 sold out before I could get the vendor to provide me with a pin code to use my gift card. I was so annoyed by that and that I had to spend more to get a matching coax for the rear. Overall, this is a great Coax! Very crisp and clean. The mids have a good solid punch. I'm pushing 70 watt RMS to these from an Infinity Reference 704a. Setup: 2017 F-150. 6.5 Morel Maximo 6 MKII components up front, 6.5 Morel Maximo Ultra 602 Coax in the rear, Infinity Reference 704a 4 channel amp, . Two 10" JL W-1 3v4, Alpine M500 mono amp and an LC7i.

Added bass vs factory speakers

I installed these in the kick panel of a 2 Dr 2021 bronco. They sound a ton better than the factory speakers, however I do find them to be boomy, nothing an aftermarket DSP couldn't fix. My 3 out of 5 rating comes from the fact that one of the speakers had a weird rattling sound at mid to upper volumes. I tore apart the kick panel trying to track it down only to realize wires that connect to the cone of the speaker was shorting out on each other and slapping against the cone. After using some picks to adjust the wires the rattle disappeared.

WOW. Just amazing.

On the Bronco6G forum, a member did talk about how "rich and full" the MORELs sound. My Kicker CS Speakers were definitely better than the stock ones of course, but the MORELs take it to another level. I do have a bass-control knob, but constantly having to fiddle with it was getting annoying. Not to mention the back-and-forth of going into the trunk and adjusting all the dials....gain, bass boost, threshold. level, LPF, etc....OMG. These MORELs actually sounded so good they helped me balance out the system so well - I found the sweet spot! It sort of brought everything together and I had to compensate less with the sub in the rear to bridge that gap with the lower-mid to low frequencies. The moment I "GOT IT" and had the right settings I was kinda blown away by the quality of the music. GREAT speakers. Buy them!

I WANTED LOUDER

I love these speakers buttttt.. To start this review I just want to say I'm overall happy with my purchase. These speakers are a huge upgrade from factory in terms of sound quality and overall sound. Although, the reason i'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5 is because they are not as loud as I had expected. Pros: Easy install, great sound, clear. Cons: Not as loud. PS. If you want VOLUME, a good amp could really make these perfect.

Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 MKII

They are so much better than the stock speakers. A few weeks ago, I replaced my stock door speakers with a pair of Kenwood KFC-1666S speakers. The Kenwoods were better than the stock on the mid and high-end, but were no better and possibly a touch worse on the low end (which is where I was really looking for improvement). These Morels deliver much more on the low end and do very well on the mid and high end, too. Just what I was hoping for. With both the Morels and the Kenwoods, my experience with Crutchfield has been great. Ordering, delivery, installation instructions and supplies were spot-on! A great experience.

Much Better Than Stock!

These sound soooo much better than the puny stock speakers in my '23 Maverick. Mids and highs are crisp and tight. Bass is good down to about 100hz (as expected from a smallish speaker). They play pretty loud, too!

Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 MKII

Perfect drop-in fit on the 2014 Mazda 3. Excellent sound upgrade from stock. Folks, the installation for both front speakers is going to take you less than 40 minutes, with a nice break inbetween. Pop the two screw covers, pull two screws. Start from the lower inside and work your way around the bottom out to the side. Pull the door off, pull the cables. Drop the 4 screws on the speaker, pull the cable. Take the new speakers, pop the tabs on the spacer. Mount the speaker, connect the adapter, screw into the door. (Replace the plastic pins if you broke any on the door $9 per 30 on amazon B09SF4T4D9), connect the cables. Pop in the door panel, insert the two screws, reinstall the cover and you're done. So easy a 10 year old could probably do it. Do yourself a favor and get this for yourself. You won't regret it.

Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 MKII

I'm giving a 3 star review because while they seemed to be a quality speaker, the sound quality over factory just wasn't there. Can't justify the price for that reason. I ended up returning the speakers.

Good sounding speakers

Replaced my stock speakers with these. Originally bought the Morel Maximo Coax 6, then upgraded to these. If you are considering the Coax 6, spend the extra money and get the Ultras. They are worth the extra cash. Massive improvement over the stock speakers. Happy with the replacement. Have had them for a little over a month.

Lovely warm speakers corolla 24

These were so easy to install, vast improvement over stock speakers. Warm, round sound. Thank you Crutchfield for making compatibility easy with the website and install easy with the brackets and accessories! Installed rear door corolla 24 hybrid. Best idea ever to skip the jbl and get my own equipment from Crutchfield and put in a 1000x better system. We enjoyed weighing the stock vs these on the kitchen scale.

Punchy

I was looking for speakers that would be good with metal from Lorna shore to Polaris and these were the ones! I started with them in front and fell in love, everything was so clean and punchy even without a sub at the time. I loved them so much I ended up buying more morel speakers.

2021 Bronco B&O upgrade

Way better than the factory speakers that came in my 2021 Bronco with the B&O sound system. The B&O sound system doesn't have enough power to fully take advantage of the speakers, but I plan on replacing the factory amp soon.

Great Coax Speakers

Speakers worked great to compliment the Morel Maximus 602s I purchased for the front. Speakers were installed in a 2021 Toyota 4Runner rear door and hatch with space to spare. Be sure to use the Metra 82-8148 brackets and not the Scosche brackets Crutchfield provides. Crutchfield will say the metra brackets won't work but they do and are necessary since the morels have a larger basket behind the speaker and require the tabs to be snapped off the interior of the bracket. They work great as filler for the back or perhaps as primaries.

Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 MKII

Installing these in a 67 Mustang restomod. Haven't been able to power them up yet, but seem to be high quality materials, and sturdy. Will update in a few months when everything is running.
