About the Morel MXT380C

Crossovers for your Elate Carbon Series speakers
If you're custom-building a Morel Elate Carbon 3-way component system and you're not using an active crossover, you'll need a pair of Morel's MXT380C crossovers. These crossovers ensure that the speakers in your system receive the right frequencies for premium performance. You can set two different levels for the tweeter and midrange driver to control the overall tone in your vehicle. Plus, if you have plans to bi-amp your components, Morel lets you do that too.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The MXT380C passive crossover is designed for use with the Morel 3-way Elate Carbon and Elate Carbon Pro component speakers sets, all sold separately. (Elate Carbon 53, Elate Carbon 63, Elate Carbon Pro 53, and Elate Carbon Pro 63) The crossovers are sold as a pair to cover the left and right channels.
Terminals: Each crossover's inputs and outputs are set screw terminals; they will accept bare wire up to 10-gauge wire and are tightened/loosened with a 2mm Allen wrench (not included).
Output Level: Jumpers inside each crossover allow you to adjust the midrange and tweeter output levels; choose 0 dB or +2 dB for the midrange and -2 dB, 0 dB, or +2 dB for the tweeter.
Crossover Point/Slope: The crossover points are 450 Hz between the woofer and midrange and 2.7 kHz between the midrange and tweeter; all the slopes are 12 dB/octave.Bi-Amp: Each crossover has bi-amp inputs, one input for the midrange/tweeter and one for the woofer. When bi-amping the speakers, the input jumper wires need to be removed. Using four amplifier channels to bi-amp the speakers typically improves the dynamic range and presents an easier load for the amp(s) to drive.
Crossover Dimensions:
- Width: 6.9"
- Height: 1.85"
- Depth: 5.2" (plus wiring)
