Woofer Size Classification Note: Some manufacturers, including Morel, call this size woofer a 6½". Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6½" speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size as a 6¾". Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.

Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeter can be surface or flush mounted using the included adapters. The large surface mount housing also uses the oval flush mount housing and angles the tweeters at approximately 45°. The small surface mounting housing angles the tweeters at approximately 20°.

Q
If i pair these speakers with Helix G Four amp (RMS: 4x80W 4-ohm), will it work just fine?
echo  Jul 06, 2024

A
Hey, thanks for the question. So yeah, you can easily drive these speakers with that amp. Morels have a great overall efficiency so they are not too demanding to drive. This would be a great setup overall and bring plenty of soundstage to your experience.

Q
What are the differences between this MKII component set compared to the previous generation Tempo Ultra set? Are the crossovers smaller?
jantzen  Jun 04, 2024
1 answer
A
Greetings J. Thank you for your question. I don't have the dimensions on the crossovers. The new series are a tad deeper and can take 10 more watts of RMS power (130). Other than that, I don't see much difference.

Q
Looking to run a 6x125 amp system, would the speakers and the tweeters all be able to taake 125 amps each or is it divided between the 4?
dkim2198  Jan 07, 2024
1 answer
A
The Morel Tempo Ultra 602 MK II's can handle 130-watts RMS, David. This is when used with the included crossover that splits the power between the woofer and the tweeter. If you are attempting to use a 6-channel amp you would also need to use a DSP processor or amp with built-in DSP as that is the only way to bi-amp the Morel component system and safely remove the included Morel Crossover. If you plan to use an amplifier that delivers 125-watts RMS it is crucial to set your DSP crossover network and amp gains up properly to avoid damage. If you do not wish to run a DSP processor or amp, you can also use the separately available Morel MXT280C component crossover in the link below that is bi-amp capable. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_210MXR2801/Morel-MXT280C.html

Q
Can you run these active ?
travis  Jan 06, 2023

A
With certain parameters in place Travis, I do not see why not! You would need to have your DSP or manual crossover network in place and adjusted properly to avoid any damage. The AudioControl DM-608 in the link below is one of my favorites, and you can even add the AC-BT24 in the second link for wireless control from the app! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161DM608/AudioControl-DM-608.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161ACBT24/AudioControl-AC-BT24.html

Q
What is the fs hz on the morel tempo ultra mkii and morel tempo ultra mkii integras, or what hpf should be used to protect them?
tatsmorel  Jul 22, 2022
1 answer
A
That's a great question Richard! I'm pretty sure that when tested these are most likely in a free air environment, so we can probably trust that the 55hz or so is pretty accurate for these as an fs hz measurement. Since we know that any speaker COULD potentially play lower than it's fs hz (these fantastic Morel Tempo Ultra 602 MKII components included) in certain scenarios, we would want a crossover in place. You have a bit of freedom on where you set your crossover depending on your setup, but that 60hz number should be the absolute lowest for peak performance. I like 60 as it will allow you to really use any slope you'd like and be covered. Depending on your personal preferences, and where you have your subwoofer low pass set (if you are running one) you could potentially raise that to the 80hz mark or even higher for your particular setup.
