Buyer Beware

Speakers were amazing till they broke down. After 1.5 years, the one speaker on the right was crackling and popping at different volumes and the one on the left was buzzing with different music. Only powered with a factory radio amp and always kept to 25-50% volume level. Removed the speaker and turned out they were separating from the surround. Not good for how expensive these speakers are. Also found a similar review online of these speakers.
Pros: Exceptional sound
Cons: Broke in just over a year

Great sound for the Silverado
James from NEWPORT NEWS, VA on 4/4/2024
I have ordered quite a few speakers for my truck, from JBL Stadiums, Alpine R2, Focal, Kappa, and some others. I truly think these are my favorite of the bunch. With some speakers today, the sound seems to be a bit...manufactured, not with these. The music sounds as it is intended to while being balance. I definitely recommend using an amplifier to get the best out of them. I did order these from a different retailer, but if I decide to get the components I'm getting them from Crutchfield. They have the most user friendly, competent, and professional customer service of anyone. These speakers are with the money (trust me I am picky and kinda cheap), and Crutchfield will make your purchase more worth it because of the peace of mind you will have knowing that they will be ready to assist should anything be wrong with the product upon receiving.
Pros: Excellent sound quality

Sound performance on par with the best, but with better power handling
John from Melissa, TX on 11/11/2023
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The mid-bass performance is spectacular and the high end response is detailed and smooth. The most impressive thing is that as you ramp up the power, the performance doesn't degrade. The mid-range does not distort at high volume levels, which is what I find with many other products (perhaps because I exceed the rated power limits). I'm driving these with an AudioControl D-6.1200, so I was able to tune the crossovers and EQ curve perfectly and then blast them with 125W RMS each. I was on the fence trying to decide between the Morel and a pair of Focal PC 165FE, which are at a higher price point, but I knew from experience would sound amazing. The Morel won out because of the power handling and actually provide better mid-bass performance because of the larger form factor. Since I cooked my last set of Focal speakers, I know that I made the right choice and I couldn't be happier!
Pros: Smooth (not harsh), detailed highs you expect from a premium soft-dome driver. Mid-bass performance that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck while your eye lashes tickle you. Lower price point than other premium lines, but offering double the power handling capability.
Cons: None.

Clear sound at all volume levels. Bass is good for door install. Tweeter is clear but not tinny sounding.
