Dissapointed with rear view FullView FVMR-1100

First, the Honda CRV adaptor sold here (says "2022+) does not directly fit the 2025 CRV Hybrid Sport. My installer needed to modify significantly to make it work (extra "prong" to be cut off and others needed filing as they were too long). That said, the rear field of view is apparently fixed at 170 degrees (other brands allow zoom or fixed at 110 degrees). This makes approaching vehicles look much smaller and further away then they really are. Be aware. A software "zoom" option could mitigate.

Worked good but after a few years the mirror mount snapped in half and as far as i can tell there is no way to replace it

Poor Quality

I usually don't post negative reviews, however it has been a very disappointing experience. I have two of these camera systems - love them when they work, however both systems failed. They are far too expensive to fail after a couple years, and even if you are a couple months out of warranty, you are out of luck. Too expensive to have such bad quality. Just my opinion.

Disappointed with quality

Ugggh . I really hate writing reviews! After paying for installation the first time the rear camera stopped working, I had to pay them to pull it back out send it back and pay for another installation fee to have now the worst camera display ever.. I feel for the money the quality would be 100 times better. I've since decided to pull it out and stick to the factory mirror and learn to stick to the basics..

Brandmotion FVMR-1100

I like the clean factory look, the wide field of view, crisp screen, and decent user interface. What could be better is the user interface, the screen brightness/reflectiveness in bright daylight (can be a bit hard to see the screen through the reflection), and the night performance with headlights (headlights get overexposed, reducing detail in the image, and bright headlights can overwhelm the picture via the reflection). Overall a worthwhile purchase and installation, since the factory backup camera/screen in my car isn't very good, and the front and back recording feature is nice for security.

No good for convertible

Works well. But useless in a convertible. I guess it will be good at dusk or better at night. I wish I understood it's limitations

Not A Backup Camera System w/No Option For One

This was more of a waste of a customer's time than the product itself which is a recording camera only and has nothing to do with replacing a stock backup camera system nor is a backup camera -- the original purpose of my call. Only discovered this with the installer and as everyone painfully knows, are harder dates to schedule than ever and can often be a 2 week or longer wait. Crutchfield did not have an equivalent system to offer so this transaction basically went nowhere less a full refund.

Extra eyes on the road for me!

I have had this replacement in use for about a year. I love it. I have a bed rack in my track that blocks my line of sight and this literally gives you all that usage back and then some. My wife demanded that I get this after trying to drive with the obscured rear view mirror. Easy sell! I installed it myself and it took a little time to run everything all the way to the back of the bed of the truck but it is worth it. I mounted the rear camera on my bed rack with an unobstructed view. In addition, having both a front and rear dash cam in today's driving environment is a big relief with scammers everywhere.

Good, but not great.

A good camera with strong resolution and a OEM appearance but there is one major drawback. Night vision isn't an option and at night the headlights are so bright you can not use the camera feature. Because of this fatal flaw it's preventing me from giving it a higher score. Another minor issue is the brand logo flashing on the screen when your start the car. It's a tad tacky. I wish the camera had night vision or flipped to black and white in the evenings. The install was ridiculously easy and the product is built extremely well.

Great aftermarket option.

Great rear view camera. Works well during the daytime, but falls short at night when another car's lights are behind you. The good thing is if it is wired properly to your car, you can press a button and it will only come on in reverse to avoid the glare of the lights at night. That feature alone makes it work a lot better. In order to get that feature, make sure you have it installed in your car exactly as the instructions say, connected to both accessory and the reverse wire. I had it installed initially without the reverse function feature, but Crutchfield was able to fix their error and made it 100% compatible. Highly recommended.
