Crutchfield is AWESOME. quick delivery of product. Basic installation on my 2000 F350 is pretty much straight forward when following the included instructions. However, there was no guidance for using the camera in backup mode. My assumption was there would be a connection to make so when in reverse, the camera would do its overlay thing. At least that is what I was to understand with reading the information on the Brandmotion website. There was a single red wire of about a foot in length at the camera end wire harness that the instruction did not cover. Called Crutchfield for assistance and they were puzzled as well. Maybe part of the backup system???? Crutchfield said they would reach out to Brandmotion, so hopefully they get back to me. User guide is very basic with basic descriptions on functions. As for use, when first installed, I positioned the mirror as I would have for a regular mirror. This seems to cause a lot of ghosting images that make it hard to see the camera view. Those images were of the back seat (crew cab)and the bed of the truck. Not what I was expecting with the mirror. I then positioned the mirror to face me more when in the drivers seat. This made the ghosting almost disappear. You have to look hard to see any ghosting. As for the picture, it is crisp and looks good. However, images in your mirror are closer than they appear!!!!!
