Control your iPod using your 2005-up Ford factory stereo (without the satellite radio tuner) with this direct connect adapter — you'll enjoy premium sound quality and charge your iPod while you drive. The wiring harness plugs right into your factory radio, with no cutting or splicing required. Attach the included iPod cable to the adapter, and you'll be listening to your favorite tracks and playlists in no time.
You'll see controls on your factory radio's screen that are identical to those on your iPod, and you'll be able to use your factory steering wheel controls with your iPod, if your vehicle has them. The Ford radio will also display artist, album, and song info right on its screen.

Overview: The IPDCFD001N iPod Direct Connect by Brandmotion is specifically designed for connecting your iPod to 2005-up Ford, Lincoln and Mercury non-Satellite Radio factory radios with or without factory navigation and/or rear seat entertainment. It also maintains steering wheel control functions for seeking songs. Please visit the CRUTCHFIELD Car Selector to see if your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle is compatible.
iPod Compatibility: The iPod Direct Connect by Brandmotion allows you to playback the music stored on your iPod through your Ford, Lincoln, Mercury factor audio system. The Brandmotion iPod adapter module allows you to operate the following functions from your factory radio - Album/Artist/Playlist navigation, Browsing tracks, Fast Forward, Rewind, Scan, Shuffle and Repeat. The iPod adapter module also allows you to view Artist, Album and Song information on your factory radio's display. The radio will be limited to 12 characters but artist, album or song names longer than 12 characters will scroll across the display once. In addition, the Brandmotion iPod adapter will charge your iPod when connected. This adapter module supports the following iPod models - iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd generation), iPod video, iPod mini and iPhone.
Note: The iPod Direct Connect will operate but will not charge the iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2nd generation, or iPod nano 4th generation.
Connections: The supplied vehicle harness features factory original plug-and-play connectors that plug into very clear slots on the back of your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury radio while also plugging into IPDCFD001N module. The 42" iPod connector cable plugs into the hide-away Brandmotion iPod adapter module and then connects to the dock connector on your iPod.
Glovebox Holder: The Brandmotion iPod adapter module comes supplied with an iPod glovebox holder. This plastic holder mounts the iPod inside your vehicle's glovebox so your iPod and all the connecting cables are out of sight. The glovebox holder fits all compatible iPods with the use of the supplied foam pad inserts.
Note: It is not recommended installing the iPhone or iTouch inside the glovebox as it is necessary to access the iPod screen interface to confirm each sync with the Brandmotion iPod adapter system and to answer phone calls.
