This Coastal Source 10.0 Bollard Subwoofer can be partially buried to provide maximum musical impact with minimum visual impact.
A tough, versatile outdoor subwoofer
This Coastal Source 10.0 Bollard Subwoofer features a sleek form factor that helps it blend into the surroundings by your patio, pool, or garden. And it's built to stand up to the elements. It can handle up to 300 watts of power, and its 8" composite subwoofer delivers deep, musical bass. This sub provides 360° sound dispersion and covers 100-400 square feet in your outdoor listening area. It can be mounted freestanding, partially buried, or with a hardscape mount (sold separately).
Note: For proper audio performance, you MUST use a Coastal amplifier configured to match the subwoofer.
Add a satellite speaker
The bottom of this subwoofer features an additional input for connecting a compatible Coastal Source 10.0 Ellipse Bollard Satellite speaker (sold separately). The satellite can be placed atop the subwoofer and securely attached via included set screws.
For the sub and satellite to work properly together, the audio signals to each must be "crossed over" (filtered) before reaching the speakers. The high-pass filter for the satellite must be set to play frequencies above 120 Hz, and the subwoofer must be set to play frequencies 120 Hz and below.

Overview: The Coastal Source 10.0 Bollard Subwoofer is designed for in-ground and above-ground installations and features a sleek design that can be easily hidden within a landscape, yet looks great when installed out in the open.
Construction: The 10.0 Bollard features an 8" subwoofer driver that offers higher performance and efficiency than conventional outdoor speakers. The subwoofer driver is housed in a durable roto-molded composite enclosure designed for outdoor use. The Bollard subwoofer can provide 360˚ of sound dispersion that can cover 100-400 sq. ft. of listening area.
Power & Connections: The 10.0 Bollard features a pair of male CC (Coastal Connector) input connectors for connection to an amplifier. The Ellipse Bollard subwoofer can handle between 100W (minimum) and 300W (maximum). The subwoofer also includes an additional set of inputs on the bottom of the chassis, letting you mount and connect an optional Coastal Source 10.0 Bollard Satellite (sold separately) onto the top of the subwoofer. The two sets of input signals should be crossed over at 120Hz before connecting to the speakers - 120Hz and up going to the Satellite and 120Hz and down going to the Subwoofer. Coastal Connection cables (sold separately) feature threaded connector-ends designed to provide a watertight connection that's rated for direct-burial.
Installation: The 10.0 Bollard subwoofer can be either landscape or hardscape installed. For landscape installations, the speaker can be installed in-ground with the woofer grille exposed. Optional Landscape Stakes and a Theft Guard (both sold separately) can be used to mount the speaker above-ground while maintaining a stable installation. The 10.0 Bollard subwoofer can also be hardscape mounted to flat surfaces. Optional Isolation Spikes (sold separately) allow the speaker to safely sit on a hard surface, while a Hardscape Mount bracket (sold separately) allows the speaker to sit inside a recessed mounting area of a flat surface.
