Poor sound quality without filtration.

Poor sound quality due to electrical static. Tried aux cable directly to head unit without much success. My ipod uses the same port without issues.

Bought this to replace almost 18 year old Sportster 4 that finally stopped working. I need to change hardwiring to new dock with adapter from Satellite Radio Superstore. Also need to replace remote and in home dock system. Tuner itself works great. My wife and I bought lifetime subscriptions to Sirius in 2007 and it was very good purchase.

Not hard to install

So far, so good.......... Just installed it a couple of weeks ago and my wife has been driving the car. She said it is working well for her; no complaints from her.

Takes the place of failed SiriusXM in factory radio. Crutchfield CSR asked the questions to get proper application. Installation was as easy as CSR said.

Good but not great

I have had multiple radios since 2001. I had to get a new radio because my Delphi radio did not get the higher channels where Deep Tracks was moved to. This Onyx works fine, but I am very disappointed the display is not in color. It also does not have as many features, such as memorizing up to 10 songs.

Good Option for Factory Upgrade

Easy option to upgrade broken factory Sirius. Installation and activation were fairly straightforward; I do wish there weren't so many wires to route and hide but this isn't the unit's fault.

radio easy to install but difficult to sinc with car radio. choices of fm stations to sinc are very popular signals thru out usa and can only get xm outside of most cities. need to add stations higher up the dial that are not used that much.

Well I got this to replace an old broken unit and so just from opening the package it seems like a high quality nice unit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't have it installed yet I have an appointment to do so but the shop is backed up right now.

Easy setup. I like the little dock system which means that I can bring the tuner into the house. Also, I hid the antenna underneath the upper dash pad and it still works fine!

After calling and talking with Tom, we can up with a SiriusXM Onyx EZR that we thought would work with my scooter, I'm a disabled Veteran and was using alot of data on my phone,from the music I would be playing. When it came, i found out that I couldn't install it to the scooter. So I sent it back. I wish it would have work, but I would like to thank Tom for the time he spent trying to get something that would work.

Best SiriusXM self instsll out there

I would definitely recommend this Onyx to buy and enjoy. It's very well made, all of the mounting options you could need, even included two extra clips to mount in your dash a/c an heat vents include. Activation was easy as the installation. My wife could of easily installed everything by Her self if needed. Take it with in any other vehicle your in or get the home kit an just plug the main raise in an listen in you home Very happy with this purchase. As always Crutchfield folks are the best to work with

Not a good fit.

Did not fit well in my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Connections were bulky and cumbersome. Adhesive did not stick well to the dashboard, regardless of how many times I cleaned it with the alcohol pad. The stem for the vehicle dock kept falling off the mounting plate. Vent mount did not fit my vent properly. Took back for a refund. Seriously considering buying a new SiriusXM ready stereo with the SXV300V1 tuner.

Best addition to my sound system I could have gotten. I'm on the road a minimum of 6 - 8 hundred miles a week. I was constantly having to search for a new station. Now I just set a favorite channel from my list and go, commercial free. Worth every penny, I highly recommend this
