MTX engineers evaluate the "sonic signatures" of top-selling vehicles so they can design ThunderForms as custom acoustic matches. Each ThunderForm fits and blends inconspicuously into your vehicle, so you get great bass without losing any space. The rugged MDF enclosure with aviation-grade carpet curbs unwanted resonances from your sub, so you'll hear bass that's tight, hard-hitting, and way down low.

Mounts on the driver side rear wheel well

This MTX ThunderForm comes loaded with a premium-quality 10" Terminator subwoofer, and mounts on the driver side rear wheel well of your Jeep. The enclosure is seamless and airtight, with the correct internal volume to yield optimum bass response from the subwoofer.

Soft top installation note: When this sub is installed, your soft top will not fold flat, as it rests on the enclosure. You can buy 3" spacers and 3.5" 1/4-20 bolts with security heads to move the enclosure away from the side of the Jeep, allowing the top to lay flat.

Vehicle Compatibility: This Thunderform custom-fit, amplified, pre-loaded enclosure is designed specifically to fit 2007-2016 Jeep Wrangler 4-door JK vehicles.

Note: Please refer to the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm fit for your vehicle.

Mounting Location: The enclosure mounts on top of the driver's side rear wheel well without taking up any usable interior space.

Enclosure: The Thunderform enclosure is made from durable MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), that resists flexing and dampens resonance, and covered in aviation grade carpet.

Single 10" Terminator Subwoofer: The MTX enclosure comes loaded with single 10" MTX Terminator series subwoofer that's perfectly matched to the enclosure.

Soft Top: When a convertible soft top is installed, the top will not fold flat around the Thunderform. Instead, when folded down, the top rests on the enclosure (on the driver's side). One solution listed on MTX's web site (in addition to removing the top, rather than just folding) is purchasing 3" spacers and 3-1/2" 1/4-20 bolts with security heads from your local hardware store, thus moving the enclosure away from the side of the Jeep and allowing the convertible soft top to lay flat around the subwoofer.

Can I purchase just the box only?

You cannot buy just the box only with this MTX, Craig. These are available only in the amped or non amped version, not a single box. You could remove the MTX and replace it with a different sub, but you would have to make sure to carefully match the box's dimensions to your sub of choice for good performance.

Does this mounting bracket mount with the Hard top scews already used for the hard top? if I want to remove my hard top will I have to remove the Sub?

The subwoofer is secured in place by using existing rooftop mounting bolts on the drivers side, behind the rear seat above the wheel well.
