Add-On Bluetooth Receiver & Remote Control: The MTX Audio MUDBTRC is a universal Bluetooth receiver & remote control that is designed to work with most Bluetooth enabled devices including iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets. This easy to install and use, all-in-one unit is capable of transforming your Bluetooth enabled mobile device into the center of your vehicle's audio system. Designed to mount a variety of vehicles and able to work with most amplifiers, the MUDBTRC is ideal for use in boats, ORV's, ATV's, motorcycles, side-by-sides, boats, cars, or trucks.

Bluetooth Music Streaming: The MUDBTRC Bluetooth receiver & remote allows you to stream music directly from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, and other Bluetooth compatible devices to your vehicle's existing stereo system. You can operate basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track) from the MUDBTRC's push-button controls.

Aux Output: The MTX Audio MUDBTRC features a female minijack (3.5mm) audio output to connect to an Aux or analog audio input of your amplifier. You will need either a stereo minijack cable or a stereo minijack-to-RCA cable (sold separately).

Push-Button Controls: The MTX Bluetooth receiver & remote features push-button controls which allow you to power on/off the device, turn the volume up/down, and operate basic playback functions (like Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track) of your connected Bluetooth audio device.

Mounting Options: The MTX Audio MUDBTRC offers 3 mounting options - surface mount, flush mount, and spring clamp. The flush-mount bracket requires a cutout of 2.5625" and a mounting depth of approximately 1.4375".

Wiring Harness: The MUDBTRC can be used with practically any 12-volt battery. The Bluetooth remote/receiver has three wires in its wiring pigtail. The power wire (red) should be directly connected to the vehicles positive battery terminal, the ground wire (black) should be connected directly to the vehicle's chassis where paint has been removed or the negative terminal on the battery, and the accessory wire (blue) should be connected to the ignition wire on the vehicle.

Greetings Richard. Great question. Here is why I think it would be a bit of a problem, but technically would work. Pairing the phone. A phone can only be paired to one of these at a time. You would have to re-pair the phone to the receiver to be used, then re-pair to the next. Not real convenient, especially if they are within 30 feet of each other.

Greetings Chris, and thank you for your question. Unfortunately not. This MUDBTRC is an actual Bluetooth receiver to be used with an existing stereo that does not have Bluetooth, but an Aux in. It will not emit commands to another device via Bluetooth, just receive information from your phone, or tablet.

This sweet Bluetooth controller has a 3.5mm female Aux output, and they do not include adapters in the box. You can use this with the MUD100-4, or any amplifier by using a 3.5 to RCA breakout cable like this Fusion in the link below. Since the MUD does not have a 2 channel input capability, you'll also need 2 of these marine rated female RCA to dual male RCA adapters for the amp's signal inputs. The instructions say to wire the blue lead directly to the amp remote turn on (blue) and a remote turn on is not needed because the MTX will turn off after 5 minutes if no bluetooth is detested. That sounds nice but if you forget to turn off your phone or playing device it could drain the battery. Can i still wire the blue wire from the MTX and the amp to a remote turn on to have more control of the both the system?

No output voltage. Just amplifier pre-outs. You cannot power speakers from this interface. You will need an external amplifier to power your speakers.

The unit has a Power, Ground, Remote turn on for an amplifier, and RCA connections. The unit does not have any factory plugs for OEM stereos.

This is not a receiver, it accepts Bluetooth or an input from a 3.5mm plug (I think). This unit then connects to an amp with RCA cables.

You will have to get a adapter from 3.5mm plug to rca. It should work. It is just a Bluetooth receiver and controller.

It offers a single 3.5mm stereo audio output so, you would need a minijack to RCA cable and some RCA Y adapters to provide the audio to more than one amplifier.

No. The MTX is designed to be a stand-alone device and connect directly to the inputs of an external amplifier. Your JVC came packaged with a wireless remote originally (RM-RK52). Sure. It's designed to be a direct source input to an external amplifier but you can connect it to an auxiliary audio input on your stereo. The only drawback to this will be the two volume controls: one on the MTX and one on your stereo. So, you'll just have to balance these two settings to ensure proper performance. I hope that helps!

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: MTX has not provided information about the waterproof rating, however, I did notice on their website it lists the item as "weather-proof" rather than "water-proof". two bar clamps. one is 7/8" and other is 1 1/8" They are thin metal so fairly flexible.
