Little Change.... of road noise
Michael from W Valley City, UT on 1/24/2025
I had a professional installer put these in my Auto hoping to help suppress Road noise; replacing the factory speakers. I found that there seemed To be little change in the amount of road noise I was experiencing. though the Quality of sound from the new speakers was significant.

Great sound deadening!! I bought the 4 door kit straight from SoundSkins. But I needed the extra roll from Crutchfield. Need a lot of patience to install it properly, but the results are rewarded. My car actually sounds quieter inside. Recommended!!

helps bring out mids and sound accuity
Jason from Grand Forks, ND on 6/21/2024
The deadening material is easy to cut, apply, and rolls well. If you have a truck or suv there isn't enough material to do the door panel and door skin for both doors. I applied soundskins to the door skin metal and it definitely made a difference in sound quality of the music. I will buy again/recommend.

This is some sticky stuff and the quality is superb. Very easy to cut with box cutters or a sharp pair of scissors. Once you get it in place , it will stay
Pros: The protective back that covers the sticky side is easy to peel off
Cons: Once you stick it, it's difficult to remove

Great product at a reasonable price.
Ricardo from Pipe Creek, TX on 4/28/2024
Great product! Made a noticeable difference in road noise by just doing the front doors for now. The doors feel more solid even when just closing them. It also helped improve the acoustics of my newly installed speakers. Keep in mind that it has a foam layer on it as well so it adds extra thickness that you need to account for. I will be adding some to th me rear doors and trunk area.

Night & Day Difference
Michael from Charlottesvle, VA on 3/10/2024
Night and day difference on my 2019 4Runner front and rear doors. One roll was enough for the driver and passenger front doors with very little excess. I used a second roll for the driver and passenger rear doors with a bit of extra. Easy to apply. I highly recommend getting and using a roller. Also, I unrolled the entire roll and cut it in half to know how much I had for each door.

Jonny from Henderson, CO on 12/15/2023
Quality product with two different types of insulation. Rubber layer to stop unwanted resonance and a foam layer to help acoustically. Nice packaging, look, and relatively easy to install. Very sticky on the back. Get this if you're looking to save time on install.
Pros: Two layers of insulation, nice look, saves time on install.
Cons: Price. The package said enough for two doors- was only able to cover the inner doors and around speaker cut out on a small hatchback.

Stewart from Sherwood, AR on 1/29/2023
I wasn't sure about this product, but I'm glad I tried it out. I'll buy more whenever I get a new vehicle. Installation is easy enough. I cut it to shape with regular office scissors and made holes as needed with a utility knife. It looks fairly professional even though nobody will ever see it. Be careful with the foil edges when installing; they're sharp.
Pros: Easy install Reduced/eliminated rattles Increased mid bass

The Quiet Place
Ross from Akron,oh on 2/10/2022
If you dont put the effort into good music, it will show. I never thought this was that critical, but boy what a difference the quiet makes! Its seens louder, is clearer, and doesnt rock the block unless I roll down the windows. Its pretty awesome. Buy it, install it, or suffer!
Pros: Reduces road noise, improves clarity, can increase volume whole not bumping the block. And on and on and on.
Cons: None! It costs a little money...

Worth getting for economy/noisy cars
ryan from HANAPEPE, HI on 3/18/2021
I used this on all 4 doors of my WRX, a car with a severe lack of noise deadening. It works as advertised. I know all the positive reviews makes it hard to believe, but let me share my experience with it. First, although the material is thick, it's pretty easy to work with. Just make sure you use fresh blades on your utility knives. Second, it reduces the vibrations on your door's sheet metal so that instead of sounding like a 55 gal drum when you knock on it, it sounds like a dead fish. Third, it really does block out road noise. I got a 2db reduction as measured by a phone app, which looks like a small number, but it's a noticeable difference. Subjectively, it feels like I'm driving my dad's Camry instead of my car. It's a little disconcerting at first because the lack of audio cues from the road makes it feel like you're driving a strange car, not your own. Finally, it really does improve your car audio. The road noise really did a number on my sounds, which made me unhappy. It was like I could tune it to sound great in my garage, but it all fell apart once out on the road. This helped to change that. Without the road noise, I can set my volume to 14-15 instead of 17-18, and still hear more detail in the music. The bass and midrange sound better, probably because there's no extra vibrations to create weird harmonics (guess), and the open door cavity is sealed better. I told my wife it sounds like I bought more expensive speakers than I really did.

Not just for cars
Crutchfield customer from Brooks, GA on 3/10/2021
Works as good if not better, in home sound/theater treatments, than it does in cars! For any rattling shelves in cabinets, vibrations in racks, or under equipment, this does the trick
Pros: -super adhesive -thermal barrier for rack mount -helps mitigate vibrations/rattles -improves sound stage
Cons: -low to minor adhesive smell, for a few days after application

God it's truly thicker than Dynamat and it does not stink like Dynamat. Thicker than Stinger Road Kill. I used the one roll to cover the trunk floor before I drove around town for two hours. It did make the ride quieter by a little bit. Next I will be doing the doors of my car next month or two. In all honesty I will be buying more of their products in the future. You can't go wrong with this material.
Pros: A couple of things Thicker than Dynamat as well as Stinger Road Kill. Easy to use.
Cons: If you have a 2017 Toyota Corolla SE then I would claim you need at least two rolls for your entire trunk.
