Great sound, poor quality
Mike from SAN DIEGO, CA on 9/22/2024
Don't buy these unless you like replacing earbuds annually. I give these 2 stars due to their sound and customer service from Cleer, but after two failures for different reasons I'm done with Cleer and I'm actually bummed. They sounded very good and worked well for awhile. I had purchased Cleers from Crutchfield a couple of years ago. After one Bud failed to charge within a year, Cleer replaced with Cleer+ II's. However, now, the left earbud is coming apart and causes outages to both buds disconnecting or intermittently working throughout songs. Very annoying. Guess I'll have to spend more to match sound quality and hopefully receive longer life/quality.
Pros: Nice sound
Cons: Poor quality Inconsistent pairing, fell apart with light usage after just over a year.

Sam from Grants Pass, OR on 9/6/2023
The performance is terrific but the connection between the earpiece and the charging unit could stand to be a bit more positive. The right ear bud from the original purchase did not make connection to the charging unit and thus would not charge. The replacement works albeit with really a marginal connection. Hats off to Crutchfield technical service as a replacement was immediately shipped out 2nd air.
Pros: Sound and comfort
Cons: Charging connection needs a better retention method.

I couldn't pair them with my phone, even with a Crutchfield person helping me. His conclusion was it was a defective pair. My biggest beef was it was impossible to change the size of the rubber tips to fit my ear canal. The rubber is flimsy and they are round while the ear piece they have to fit onto is oblong shaped. I had to squeeze the tip a little to make them oblong shaped also--it just didn't work for me. Obviously other people didn't have that experience. I returned them and ended up buying Cleer over the ear NC phones and am very happy with them. As always, Crutchfield makes the whole experience easy and they do their best to keep you happy.
Pros:
Cons: See above description

Cleer Ally Plus II Wireless Earbuds
Wayne from Asheville, NC on 10/20/2022
I'm happiest with the charge life. I spend too much time on airplanes and have always had to be mindful of charge status with wired earbuds. These have never failed to get me through a full day of air travel. I'd describe the sound quality as 'fine'. More expensive buds certainly will offer more pristine sound but at this price and for my needs they are an ideal combination of sound quality, ease of use and price. They came with a big assortment of buds and I was easily able to find a very comfortable and secure fit. The only grumble I have is that the Cleer+ app is useless. I have loaded it onto 4 different devices and the result is the same. it tells me I'm paired. That's it, just that I'm paired. So any EQ or volume adjustments that might be useful are not accessible. Go read the reviews on the App Store, others have the same complaint. I'd like to boost the volume beyond what I'm getting, but having the ability to switch from ambient to noise cancelling on the units themselves helps a lot. I will give these a 4/5 rating. My first wireless earbuds used primarily for air travel, not too pricey and with pretty decent sound quality.
Pros: Charge life, sound quality, price.
Cons: Wish they were louder. The Cleer+ app is useless.

With the right ear tips you get a very good seal, it does wonders for many iem's wired or not. The app has equalizer, firmware updates. I used them for music when i had to run the snowblower this winter, drowned out most of the sound, so satisfied with that. All in all i'm happy with the choice of Cleer Ally +.
