It's all thanks to Cleer's well-engineered dynamic drivers. They use a patented "ironless" magnet configuration that allows for more fluid, free-flowing diaphragm movement. Cleer says this drastically reduces distortion across all frequencies, but particularly in the highs.

Overview: The Cleer Audio Next over-ear headphones are designed for pure comfort and sound reproduction. These high-end audiophile headphones are equipped with Cleer's patented Ironless Driver™ motor assembly with a magnesium diaphragm for superb sound. Designed by BMW Designworks in Los Angeles, Next features rigid, lightweight aluminum alloy construction with soft sheepskin earpads and headband for superior comfort without fatigue. The Next headphones come with a 6.5' quad-core audio cable and a soft leather storage pouch.

Drivers: Next's patented 40mm Ironless Drivers provide a wide frequency response of 10-45k. Instead of a commonly-used iron pole, Next has 20 rare-earth magnets assembled in a ring for a more focused magnetic field. This gives a long excursion of the magnesium diaphragm for deep bass, and much more control over the voice coil for exceptionally low distortion. The Next's wide frequency range makes them ideal for listening to your favorite hi-res audio files. You'll hear all of the nuances in your music, just as the artist recorded it.

Construction: Next features an open-back design for natural, spacious sound reproduction without any coloration. The frame is made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, which is rigid, yet lightweight, producing no resonance. The large 3D earpads and headband are made with memory foam covered with soft sheepskin for luxurious comfort.

Cable: The Cleer Next over-ear headphones come with a detachable quad-core, 4-conductor cable made of oxygen-free copper. The 78" cable feature LEMO® push-pull connectors for solid connections to each ear cup. The solid 3.5mm plug features spring stress relief, and includes a 6.3mm (1/4") adapter.
