I've got the I15 Prisma driving a pair of 6-ohm-rated DALI Oberon 3 stand-mount speakers, and I'm just loving it. It's the best stereo rig I've ever owned. The background is ultra-quiet and the dynamics are so lifelike it can be almost startling. Most of the time, I'm feeding the Primare's built-in DAC with CD-quality or high-res FLAC files from a separate iFi Zen Stream player. That's my all-day, everyday listening mode, and it rocks. But sometimes I'll use the Primare's built-in streaming to play DSD files directly, or feed the analog inputs a signal from my Oppo disc player. Unsurprisingly, those options sound excellent as well. For control, I use the mobile app over Wi-Fi exclusively. The included remote so far has just stayed parked on the shelf next to the amp.

Primare I15 Prisma

I was looking for an integrated networking amp with a small footprint and this one proved to be ideal. Available only as a "scratch and dent" at the time of purchase, but no problem, it arrived in excellent condition with no visible defects. I am using it to power a pair of large bookshelf speakers (Monitor Audio Silver 50), and they sound great together, with enough power for a medium sized room. The amp comes with an excellent remote, a good alternative to the Prisma app, which is functional but no more. My main music source is a digital library on a PC, streaming via a DLNA server (JRiver). Initially I tried to set this up via WiFi (for which Google Home is required - why?), and it turned out to be a real hassle. My advice is to stream via the Ethernet cable if possible, which luckily is convenient for me. No glitches or dropouts at all with this setup. I don't currently subscribe to a streaming service so haven't tried those features. The amp supports Spotify Connect, amongst others, which I may try when it starts streaming lossless...

Pros: Excellent sound quality Attractive, compact design Plenty of input options Reliable streaming via Ethernet Excellent remote

Cons: WiFi setup didn't go well for me (others may have better luck) iOS app could do with an upgrade

While it's ¾ the normal width of an audio component, I could tell the Primare i15 Prisma streaming integrated amp was well-built. It had no problems pushing an older pair of 8-ohm Monitor Audio speakers, and it had the same clear sound with a pair of 4-ohm ELAC Vela bookshelf speakers, too. I really liked the versatility of this piece. The streaming music through AirPlay and Chromecast sounded crisp, raising a few hairs on the back of my neck for some of my favorite songs. I also used its unique input adjustments to let it work solely as a modestly powered stereo amp for my home theater preamp, and it did quite well. In a moderate-to-small living room, it had plenty of oomph for movies, shows, and music. Its low-profile, handsome looks call attention to it, but not too much; especially with its variable dimming options. Great little integrated amp.

I am extremly satisfied with my purchase. This is a high quality, hi-fi integrated amp with streaming capability [Prisma]. The design is minimalist and every detail is superb and well thought, straight forward operation, good app. Sound quality is impresive, good power, clean and clear sound, enough inputs, good remote, at a very good price range for a hi-fi equipment.

Pros: Clean pristine sound Good power Beautiful design Chromecast, Airplay, USB Nice remote

Cons: None
