Features
MM/MC Compatible With Adjustable Settings: The Primare R35 phono preamp is compatible with MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) phono cartridges. There is a switch on the back-panel that allows you to select between MM or MC. The R35 offers Resistance and Capacitance adjustments for a variety of MM and MC cartridges.
- MM: Adjustable Resistance & Capacitive loading for MM cartridges.
- Resistance: 2.5 or 47 k Ohm
- Capacitance: 100, 200, 300, or 400 pF
- MC:
Adjustable Resistance & Capacitive loading for MC cartridges.
- Resistance: 10 Ohm to 47 K Ohm (21-steps)
- Capacitance: 100 pF or 1 nF
Note: The Resistance and Capacitance dip-switches are hidden behind two removable back-panels. Thumb-screws secure the panels in place.
Subsonic Filter: The Subsonic filter helps to reduce low-frequency rumble and wasted amplifier power. The Subsonic filter witch is located on the back-panel and can be turned on or off.
Unbalanced RCA Stereo Analog Inputs: The Primare R35 is outfitted with an unbalanced RCA stereo analog audio input for connection to your turntable.
Balanced XLR & Unbalanced RCA Outputs With Adjustable Gain: The Primare R35 is equipped with both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA stereo analog audio output to connect the phono preamp to your integrated amplifier or receiver. Balanced connections guard against induced noise and allow long cable runs without compromising sound quality. The Primare R35 features adjustable gain to amplify the signal from virtually any moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge,
- RCA Gain: 1kHz adjustable
- MM: 36, 40, or 44dB
- MC: 62, 66, or 70dB
- XLR Gain: 1kHz adjustable
- MM: 42, 46, or 50dB
- MC: 68, 72, or 76dB
Isolated Power Supply: The phono preamp's fully isolated power supply allows its highly sensitive signal components to function in a noise free environment for superior performance, resulting in cleaner sound and greater fidelity.
Detachable AC Power Cord: The R35 phono preamplifier comes with a detachable 6' AC power that will need to be plugged into an AC power outlet or preferably a power line condition and surge protector (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
Automatic Standby: The Primare R35 phono preamp will automatically go into standby mode if there is no audio signal present for approximately 20 minutes.
Trigger In/Out: For added convenience the R35 is outfitted with a 3.5mm Trigger input and 3.5mm Trigger output. The Trigger input allows the R35 to be powered on and off remotely and automatically from an integrated amplifier or receiver's Trigger output. The phono preamp's Trigger output can be used to daisy-chain other components that feature a Trigger input for automatic remote turn on and off.

Still breaking it in but right out of the box it sounds great on both MC and MM cartridges. I appreciate the flexibility of gain and mc loading
