Overview: The iFi-Audio iPower X is an AC-to-DC power supply that provides clean DC power to your 5-volt DC powered devices. iPower X uses solid organic capacitors and other internal components to significantly reduce noise in your system. It supplies dependable constant voltage and current, and can solve the flickering issues found in some LED lighting systems. iPower X has a 79" (2-meter) cable with a DC barrel connector. Four barrel connector adapters and a reverse polarity plug are included for powering a wide variety of devices. Adapters are also included for your USB-C and Micro-USB-equipped devices. This iPower X power supply has a DC output of 5V/3.0A.

Active Noise Cancellation II: iPower X uses iFi-Audio's latest Active Noise Cancellation II to reduce unwanted noise by adding a second sound wave that is of opposite polarity to the signal (electrical noise) it wants to cancel. This is the same principle used in noise-cancelling headphones. Active Noise Cancellation is more effective than passive noise cancellation, which uses insulating filters to lower noise. The filtering works well on middle to high frequencies, but not on lower frequencies. ANC2 provides over 1000 times more noise reduction than generic power supplies with traditional filters and regulators, and does not result in the loss of DC voltage. iPower X also has a noise floor (~1 µV) that is 100 times lower than the Linear Power Supplies (LPS) provided with some audiophile components.

High Performance: Compared to traditional switching power supplies, iPower X does a much better job of suppressing high-frequency noise, through the use of solid organic capacitors and semi-conductors in its design. iPower X leakage noise is 20 times lower than normal Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). When compared to the original iPower DC power supply, iPower X's input capacitance is 50% larger (47 µF vs. 33 µF) for better filtration and better dynamics, while its output capacitance is 150% larger for significantly higher sound quality.

Reverse Polarity Adapter: Most DC barrel connections are configured with the tip or center pin positive (+) and the sleeve negative (-). iPower X is designed to power those devices. However, because some electronic devices have the opposite configuration, a Reverse Polarity adapter is included to allow you to properly power those "tip negative" devices.

Power LED: The iPower X has been upgraded from the plain, black style of its predecessor (iPower). The new iPower X has a sleek cream and beige chassis with several openings and the iFi logo on the top. The openings and logo are backlit with a pleasant soft blue LED light to alert you when the iPower X is plugged into the mains power.

Plug Adapters: iPower X comes with a 2-prong, non-polarized AC plug for use in the United States. The U.S. plug is removable, allowing you to use optional plug adapters for other countries. Plug adapters for use in the United Kingdom (UK), European Union (EU), and Australia (AU) are sold separately and available directly from iFi-Audio.
