Overview: The iFi PowerStation is a high-quality power conditioner that removes unwanted noise from your AC power mains. PowerStation features an 18.75" long dark anodized aluminum chassis with 8 top-mounted outlets. Each outlet is individually isolated from the others to avoid cross-contamination. With iFi's Active Noise Cancellation II, PowerStation removes RFI and EMI noise to make your audio and video components perform better. PowerStation also protects your audio-video components from power surges and voltage spikes. The unit comes with a removable 5' AC power cord.

Isolated Chambers: Each outlet is housed in its own chamber to protect it from noise contamination. The chambers also feature ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), which is a vibration-damping material.

PurCopper: iFi's PowerStation uses PurCopper busbars, which is 99.9999% pure OFHC (oxygen-free high-conductivity) continuous-cast copper, known for its superior conductivity. Internally, the unit is internally wired with heavy-gauge (AWG 13) wire, with multi-layered polymer insulation.

Active Noise Cancellation II: PowerStation is an active device, not passive, which allows it to achieve much better noise reduction. Active filtration is much better in the lower frequencies, while passive filtration is more effective in the higher frequencies. iFi's Active Noise Cancellation II is based on military technology, and actively cancels incoming noise similar to the way noise-cancelling headphones work. When line noise is detected, Active Noise Cancellation II actually generates an equal, but opposite signal to cancel out the noise. While ANC II works well in the low and mid frequencies, passive filters deal with noise in the high frequencies. Overall, Active Noise Cancelling II reduces noise by more than 40dB.

AC iPurifier: PowerStation is equipped with iFi's AC iPurifier hardwired into the unit. In addition to cutting out noise, the AC iPurifier detects polarity and ground errors, and reports them via its two LED indicators. Its 4mm banana socket lets you connect a grounding cable to the PowerStation when a ground isn't present. iFi's Intelligent Ground only actively provides a ground connection if the system needs one. It will not create a ground loop if the system is already grounded. Additional AC iPurifiers can be plugged into available outlets to act as a noise shield to further isolate noise between sections of the PowerStation.

Over-voltage Surge Protection (OSP): If a power surge or short circuit occurs in the mains, PowerStation's Over-voltage Surge Protection (OSP) will automatically detect it and cut off the circuit. If the problem continues, the OSP will continue to protect your equipment by not reconnecting until the problem is fixed. Over-voltage Surge Protection is effective up to 30,000 Amps at 1000V/10uS.

Connections: PowerStation has 8 US-standard 3-prong outlets for connecting your A/V equipment. It has an IEC C14 mains inlet that will accept the included power cord, or optional upgraded power cords with C13 or C15 plugs.
