Crux designed the CS-LOC1 line output converter to help you install an aftermarket receiver in vehicles with JBL, Bose®, and other premium amplified systems. Connect the speaker leads from your new car stereo to the CS-LOC1. This interface will lower the speaker-level audio signal from the new radio to a signal that's compatible with the factory amp. Individual adjustable gain controls for each channel allow you to match the output levels.
You can also use this converter to connect a factory radio to an aftermarket amplifier. The converter can handle up to four speaker-level inputs and provides four RCA outputs. You'll need RCA patch cords (not included) to make the connections to your amp. You can also cut the RCA plugs off if your wiring harness has bare wire leads for speaker inputs.

4-Channel Line Output Converter: The CRUX CS-LOC1 is a 4-channel line output converter that can be used in a variety of car stereo applications when connecting a factory radio to an aftermarket amplifier, or when connecting an aftermarket head unit to a factory amplifier. It features speaker-level inputs and line-level outputs that can also be configured as speaker-level outputs.
Note: The adapter can handle up to 50 watts (RMS) / 100 watts (Peak) of speaker level input.
Adding an Aftermarket Amplifier to a Factory Radio: If your factory radio doesn't have preamp outputs and you want to connect it to an aftermarket amp that doesn't have speaker level inputs, the CS-LOC1 can be used to convert your receiver's speaker level outputs into preamp outputs. You can hook either a 2-channel or 4-channel amplifier to the CRUX CS-LOC1 and not lose fader control.
Adding Aftermarket Head Unit to Factory Amplified System: The CRUX CS-LOC1 also allows you to add an aftermarket receiver to an audio system that has factory amplifier(s). The CS-LOC1 allows the matching and installation of an aftermarket receiver with most factory amplified systems like the Premium, JBL, and Bose systems.
Subwoofer Application: In addition, The CRUX CS-LOC1 allows for the integration of a subwoofer and amplifier or powered sub to nearly any factory or aftermarket audio system. There are line output controls that you can use to adjust the output level going into the amplifier(s).

Speaker-Level Input Harness: The speaker-level input harness is terminated with a 12-pin connector on one end that plugs into the CS-LOC1 and 9 bare wires on the other end that connect to your aftermarket head unit or factory radio.

Line-Level Output Harness: The line-level output harness is terminated by an 8-pin connector on one end that plugs into the CSL-LOC1 and 4 female RCA jacks on the other end that plug into your aftermarket amplifier. The RCA jacks can be cut to expose bare speaker wire, so you can connect them to a factory amplifier.
