Features
Nissan Radio Replacement Interface: The CRUX SWRNS-63M is a radio replacement interface for select 2015-2016 Nissan Murano vehicles. It facilitates the integration of an aftermarket radio to enable retention of factory features when replacing a factory installed radio in select Nissan Muranos. This interface is also pre-programmed for retention of steering wheel controls.
Vehicle Compatibility: The CRUX SWRNS-63M is supported by the following 2015-2015 Nissan Murano vehicles with factory navigation and with or without factory Bose amplifier.
Make | Model | Year |
---|---|---|
Nissan | Murano (Base radio with Factory Nav and without Bose) | 2015-2016 |
Murano (With Factory Nav and Bose) | 2015-2016 |
For Amplified and Non-Amplified Applications: The CRUX SWRNS-63M can be used in Nissan Murano vehicles with or without a factory Bose amplified audio system. The SWRNS-63M will retain the factory Bose amplifier with fader capability and turn-on.
Steering Wheel Control Retention: The CRUX SWRNS-63M features a steering wheel control output for Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, JVC, Jensen, Dual/Axxera, Boss and other aftermarket head units. The steering wheel control output consists of a right-angle 3.5mm connector and a light blue/yellow wire (use the connection that your aftermarket head unit is fitted with). The SWRNS-63M interface module will work with any of the listed aftermarket head unit brands by setting its 3 dip-switches to the proper position (see owner's manual for appropriate setting).
- There are two steering wheel control harnesses; one is labeled "Pioneer/Sony" and the other "Kenwood/JVC". You will only plug in one of these harnesses into the interface module, based on the brand of aftermarket head unit you are installing.
- Some factory steering wheel control functions may not be retained when installing an aftermarket Jensen radio.
Factory Backup Camera: The CRUX SWRN-63M will retain your vehicle's factory backup camera (if equipped). Your aftermarket receiver must feature a composite video camera input and have a built-in display monitor. The factory 360 panoramic camera (if equipped) is not retained.
USB Port: The CRUX SWRN-63M will also retain your vehicle's factory USB port using the included USB retention cable. As long as your new car stereo has a high-amperage charging port (1.5A or greater), the USB retention cable should support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operation. However, the number of variables involved means we can't guarantee compatibility.
Aux Input: In addition, the SWRN-63M retains your vehicle's factory Aux input through the use of your aftermarket receiver's rear-panel audio input. The SWRNS-63M features male stereo RCA jacks to plug into the audio input on back of your aftermarket radio. If your aftermarket stereo is equipped with a stereo minijack input, you'll need a female stereo RCA to male stereo minijack adapter (sold separately).
Navigation Outputs: CRUX SWRNS-63M features Parking Brake, VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense), and Reverse Gear outputs to make the installation of aftermarket multimedia and navigation receivers simpler and faster.
