Features

Vehicle Compatibility: The CRUX ONST-11C allows replacement of the factory radio with an aftermarket head unit while retaining important factory features in select 2005-2009 General Motors (GM) vehicles with 11-bit LAN systems.

Make Model Year
Chevrolet Cobalt 2005-2006
Malibu 2004-2007
Pontiac G6 2005-2009

Note: If your 2009 Pontiac G6 has one volume knob in the center of the factory radio, then use the CRUX ONST-11B radio replacement interface instead.

Retained Factory Features: The CRUX ONST-11C retains important factory features such as OnStar with Bluetooth hands-free communication, factory amplifier, steering wheel controls, RAP, and warning chimes.

  • OnStar System: The ONST-11C will retain the factory OnStar system for emergency communication
  • Factory Amplifier: The CRUX ONST-11C retains the factory Bose amplifier and sub with fader control. It also works with non-amplified audio systems.
  • Steering Wheel Controls: Your factory steering wheel controls will be retained when installing the ONST1-11C radio replacement interface module (aftermarket radio must also support steering wheel controls). Make sure you connect your radio via the appropriate SWC connector (either blue/yellow wire or 3.5mm jack) and set the dip-switching according to the installation instructions.
  • Warning Chimes: The CRUX ONST-11C allows you to retain all of your vehicle's factory warning chimes with adjustable volume.

Navigation Outputs: To make installation of aftermarket DVD, digital multimedia, and navigation receivers simple and less time consuming the CRUX ONST-11C contains Parking Brake, VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor), and Reverse Gear outputs.

I have a 06 Cobalt (no on-star no factory sub). Will this work on my car and allow me to retain my steering wheel controls and vehicle display center?

Greetings Luther. Thank you for your question. This harness retains the driver information center, and with compatible stereo, will retain the factory steering wheel radio controls on your 2006 Cobalt.

Q
I have a 2005 Pontiac G6 and I installed a Boss radio with this module. I set the correct dip switch settings per the instructions and the volume steering wheel buttons work correctly however the mute and source buttons work as next track and previous track buttons. No other buttons work. I have also tried changing the internal voltage switch from 3.3 volts to 5 volts to no avail. How do I fix this? Thanks

I would be happy to help, Joshua. Try selecting the dip switch settings for "Pioneer" on the CRUX ONST-11C wiring interface when using the Boss BE7ACP. We show this is needed when using some steering wheel control interfaces with the Boss BE7ACP radio. I hope this helps!
