Bad instructions, leads to botched in stall

The instruction are very vague and picture are black and not helpful. Only shows some wiring, not mounting location etc. Tells you to drill hole right next to tail gate handle, not factory spot. Contacted company said to do it different then instructions. Through factory spot. Camera doesn't fit in factory spot. The wiring kit was simple and easy, but that's about it. Thinking of pulling the unit and returning.

Pros: Wiring harness

Cons: Everything else

Works great. Connects to existing wiring in the tail gate of truck. There are some good videos that show how to install a camera in a Toyota tacoma.

Decent considering the cost. I was emailed the wrong instructions (speaker istallation) but I pulled up the video and figured it out. I could have completed the job in less than an hour but I used hand tools instead of powered tools. Overall it does the job. I followed the instructions to a T but have to shim the camera to get the angle I want. Not bad for the price.

Easy to install just doesn't last. Camera failed just outside of the one year warranty so Crutchfield couldn't hep and Crux only offered to sell me another one. Choose a different manufacturer.

Camera electrical connections worked great and were relatively easy to use. Camera so far is working fine. Had to custom make parts to install camera. It would be great if vendor provided a bracket to use.

Pros: So far everything working well. Electrical connections very nice.

Cons: Vendor should provide customized bracket to mount camera or at least have more detail on how it can be mounted.
