Radio Replacement Interface: The CRUX SWRSU-38D is a radio replacement interface for select Subaru vehicles. It facilitates the integration of an aftermarket radio to enable retention of certain factory features such as Starlink and the Harman Kardon sound system when replacing the factory-installed radio and is also pre-programmed for retention of steering wheel controls.

Vehicle Compatibility: The CRUX SWRSU-38D radio replacement interface works with the following 2017-2022 Subaru vehicles equipped with a factory Harman Kardon sound system.

StarLink Retention: The CRUX SWRSU-38D retains Subaru's factory installed StarLink safety & security system.

Factory Amplifier: The CRUX SWRSU-38D will retain your vehicle's factory installed Harman Kardon amplifier with left/right balance control.

Steering Wheel Controls: The CRUX SWRSU-38D will retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls. The SWRSU-38D features a steering wheel control output for Alpine, Blaupunkt, Boss, Clarion, Dual, Jensen, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony aftermarket head units. The steering wheel control output consists of a right-angle 3.5mm connector and a light blue/yellow wire (use the connection that your aftermarket head unit is outfitted with). The SWRSU-38D interface module's dip-switches will need to be configured to work with your compatible aftermarket radio (see owner's manual for appropriate setting).

• Your vehicle's steering wheel phone pick up and hang up buttons will be reversed when installing the SWRSU-38D.

Backup Camera with Reverse Wire: The SWRSU-38D will retain your Subaru vehicle's factory installed backup camera through the use of your new aftermarket stereo's composite video camera input. The included wiring harness features a male composite video RCA connector that plugs into your aftermarket radio's composite video camera input. Your aftermarket radio must be equipped with a composite video camera input and built-in video screen. The included harness also has a reverse wire (purple/white) that connects to the reverse wire of your aftermarket radio's harness for automatic rearview switching when your vehicle is put into reverse gear.

Retained Aux Input: The SWRSU-38D will retain your Subaru vehicle's factory Aux input using your new aftermarket stereo's rear-panel Aux input. The included wiring harness is equipped with a set of male stereo RCA jacks that plug into your aftermarket radio's rear-panel Aux input jacks. If your aftermarket head unit features a 3.5mm Aux input, you'll need a stereo minijack-to-RCA adapter (sold separately).
