Features
Volkswagen Radio Replacement Interface: The CRUX SWRVW-52 is a radio replacement interface for select 2002-up Volkswagen vehicles (w/ CAN bus systems). It facilitates the integration of an aftermarket radio to enable retention of factory features when replacing a factory installed radio in select Volkswagen cars (with or without factory-installed amps). This interface is also pre-programmed for retention of steering wheel controls.
Compatibility: The CRUX SWRVW-52 is supported by the following 2002-up Volkswagen vehicles with CAN bus systems and non-amplified or amplified factory audio systems.

---|---|---|
Volkswagen | Beetle | 2012-2013 |
CC | 2009-2013 | |
EOS | 2006-2012 | |
Golf | 2002-2013 | |
GTI | 2006-2013 | |
Jetta | 2002-2013 | |
Passat | 2002-2013 | |
Rabbit | 2006-2011 | |

Steering Wheel Control Retention: The CRUX SWRVW-52 also features a steering wheel control output for Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, JVC, Jensen, Dual/Axxera, Boss and other aftermarket head units. The steering wheel control output consists of a right-angle 3.5mm connector and a light blue/yellow wire (use the connection that your aftermarket head unit is fitted with). The SWRVW-52 interface module will work with any of the listed aftermarket head units, by setting its three dip-switches (see owner's manual for appropriate setting).
Navigation Outputs: The CRUX SWRVW-52 radio replacement interface module provides a VSS (vehicle speed sense) and a Reverse Gear output to make installing an aftermarket navigation radio simpler and less time consuming. *There is not Parking Brake wire.
Amp Turn-On: The CRUX SWRVW-52 provides an amplifier turn-on lead for your vehicle's factory amplifiers (if equipped).
RAP: In most vehicles your aftermarket head unit will continue to operate with the vehicle's RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system; the aftermarket radio will stay on until the key is fully removed from the ignition switch. However, in 2010-up vehicles with premium sound, the RAP feature will not be retained; the radio will shut off when the key is turned off.

Operates as advertised. Allows you to keep premium amps from OEM system. You do have to make sure you don't connect unnecessary wires (I.e. Steering wheel control wire if controls are not present and this will cause new head unit to ignore the remote).
