for spinning spindles only!

I'll tell you what my problem is, I have a Pro-ject Debut Carbon and Pro-ject A1, so I bought two of these. Apparently neither of these turntable models have center spindles that spin!! I don't know which models this clamp is for in the Pro-Ject line, but obviously, if the center doesn't spin with the platter, clamping to it means no music for you. What's the deal Pro-ject? Maybe a list of Pro-ject models it is made for, and a warning to beginners about spindles. Leather-like bottom protects surfaces, and a bit on the top for a nice accent. I am assuming a glue is the bond, so only time would tell if it wears well.

Pro-Ject Clamp it

Tis is a great product. It's not very heavy and you simply place it over the spindle press down gently, and tighten the knob. Works great.

Pro-Ject Clamp it

So many records these days come dished directly from the plant so something like the Pro-Ject Clamp It is very helpful to ensure better playback. It's a bit pricy, but I opted to go with a clamp designed specifically for my Pro-Ject turntable.

Pro-Ject Clamp it

Like another reviewer, I was disappointed and surprised to find that the clamp will not work with my Pro-Ject turntable (in my case, a Debut PRO) because the spindle is too short. It will sit on the record like a pricey paperweight, but it won't clamp it to the spindle, thus defeating its purpose. You'd think Pro-Ject would make their spindles 3/8 of an inch longer to accommodate their clamps. I'd return it, but I threw away the packaging.

I gave this a 3 stars because it is way over priced for what it does. but it does work as avertised. the screw knob does squeak a little. but you can get the simler clamps elsewhere for less. I would send it back because of the price but that would not be unfair to Crutchfield because I new the price when I bought the clamp

Works when it works

This would have been a five but for the fact that this was a replacement clamp. the first one got to the point that it would sometimes not release from the record, once to the point it pulled up the record, platter and sub-platter before I could remove the clamp. Works great as long as it works, hope this one doesn't fail in the same way.

Does not work with T1 turntable

This clamp does not work for the Pro-Ject T1 turntable. The spindle on the T1 is not tall enough for the clamp to hold. This product is advertised to work with virtually any turntable, and I was thinking it would certainly mean ALL Pro-ject turntables. I returned it. Crutchfield was great as always with the return.

Nice!

Works well with older warped vinyl and looks very stylish while doing so. Easy to use with Pro-Ject turntable. Would recommend to anyone with any older vinyl collection, or just wants a more stable platter experience.

Great small investment to bringing it to the next level.

This is a great way to increase the audio quality of my records collection. Sound is improved and enjoy relistening to the improved sonics.
