Features
2-Speed Manual Belt Drive: The Pro-Ject Dark Side Of The Moon (TDSOTM) Special Edition turntable employs a 2-speed manual belt drive design that supports 33-1/3 and 45 RPM playback (45 RPM adapter is included). The turntable's flat silicon belt is driven by an AC motor to ensure stable speed every time.
Prism MDF Plinth with Rainbow LEDs & Damped Feet: The Dark Side Of The Moon (TDSOTM) Special Edition turntable features a triangular 28mm MDF (medium density fiberboard) plinth for a sturdy, non-resonant base. The unique triangular-shaped plinth is paired with a rainbow LED backlight on the right-hand side which makes the turntable look even more impressive and beautiful when listening to your favorite vinyl records in the dark. The rainbow LED backlight is dimmable and can be turned completely off. The MDF plinth stands on three damped aluminum feet to isolate the turntable from your mounting surface.
Heavyweight Platter & Sub Platter: The Pro-Ject Dark Side Of The Moon turntable includes a heavy 10mm glass platter combined with a solid aluminum sub platter that sits on a stainless steel axle and brass bushing for exceptional detail and accurate sound. The optional Glass Prism Record Weight makes a perfect addition to the turntable and ensures a firm fit of your vinyl record by securing your playing vinyl record against the turntable platter. By holding the two together, the sound performance of the turntable is improved, in timing and depth of sound - typically with more clarity in the lows and mids, plus less harshness in the upper registers.
Aluminum/Acrylic Tonearm with Pre-installed Pick It PRO Special Edition Cartridge: The Dark Side Of The Moon turntable features an 8.6" tonearm with integrated headshell and spring anti-skating. This low resonance tonearm is a completely new design that combines black aluminum parts and acrylic for excellent tracking. The one-piece arm and headshell design prevents unwanted resonances and offers a solid physical bond to the cartridge.
Pick it PRO Special Edition Cartridge: The Dark Side Of The Moon turntable is outfitted with a pre-installed and pre-adjusted Pick it PRO Special Edition MM (moving magnet) phono cartridge. This special edition MM phono cartridge has been expertly tuned to deliver rich, detailed sound.
Gold-Plated RCA Outputs: The Pro-Ject Dark Side Of The Moon is outfitted with a set of gold-plated stereo RCA outputs that provide excellent audio signal transfer and resistance against corrosion. Pro-Ject's Connect-it-E cable is included. Pro-Ject's Connect-it-E cable is a semi-balanced, low-capacitance cable, with superior shielding. However, you can always upgrade to an even higher quality cable if preferred.
- The Dark Side Of The Moon turntable will need to be plugged into a dedicated Phono MM input on your AV receiver or integrated amplifier.
- If your AV receiver or integrated amplifier is not equipped with a dedicated Phono MM input, you'll need an external Phono MM preamp (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
AC Power Adapter: The Dark Side Of The Moon includes an AC power adapter that will plug into the back of the turntable and into an AC power outlet or surge protector/line-conditioner (sold separately).
