About the Lucid Audio Enlite

Hear more of the world around you
Hear more of the world around you
These sound-amplifying earbuds from Lucid Audio were engineered to produce the highest fidelity possible while making the world more intelligible. If you have mild-to-moderate hearing loss, they can boost your perception of speech and the ambient sounds of your environment. They have a sleek, non-intrusive design and are remarkably easy to use.
There's a difference between a hearing aid and a hearing amplifier. Whereas hearing aids target and boost a specific frequency set, hearing amplifiers amplify all frequencies. The engineering challenges involved in amplifying ambient noises and conversations equally — all without distorting or compressing the sound — are remarkable. This system was carefully designed to tackle that challenge.
High performance hearing amplification
The Enlite boasts two levels of sound amplification, depending on how much of a boost you need. A tiny switch on each earbud lets you easily toggle between the two levels. The system's high-efficiency, low-distortion output gives you clear, natural sound in either setting.
These earbuds can process dynamic peaks up to an astonishing 115 dB without distorting, which is roughly equivalent to a loud live concert. They also boast an impressive 16 kHz frequency response range, which is almost double what other personal sound amplifiers out there have.
Nearly two weeks of use
The Enlite earbuds use disposable #10 hearing aid batteries, which last up to 12 days before needing replacement. An audible alert will play when it's time to pop in some new batteries.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The Lucid Hearing Enlite™ is a personal hearing amplifier designed to enhance the sound around you. Enlite helps improve speech intelligibility, and gives you more enjoyment when watching TV or listening to music. The hearing amplifiers are designed for people who need occasional hearing help. Enlite comes with multiple pairs of silicone and foam ear tips, spare batteries, cleaning accessories, a neck cord, and a hard storage case.
Technology: Enlite features superior audio quality performance due to Lucid Hearing's engineering and technology. The built-in sound processor has a frequency response that has been specifically shaped to improve speech intelligibility. Its 16kHz bandwidth is more than double the bandwidth of other available personal hearing amplifiers. Enlite is able to process peak sounds up to 115dB without distortion. You can choose from two available levels of amplification.
Loudness Switch: The hearing amplifiers feature a 2-way switch that lets you choose between the following loudness settings:
- Normal: The Normal setting provides 15dB of mild amplification and treble boost to enhance soft speech. It provides no amplification for loud sounds.
- High: The High setting provides an additional 8dB of amplification and treble boost for soft sounds, and mild amplification for loud sounds.
Ear Tip Selection: The Enlite hearing amplifiers come with several types and sizes of ear tips. The soft silicone ear tips feature 3 flanges that are progressively larger that provide a good seal in the ear canal. The foam ear tips should be compressed between the fingers before inserting. The foam expands to contour to the shape of the ear canal to provide a secure seal. You can choose from the following types:
- Small 3-Flange: silicone ear tips for small ear canal openings (7mm to 11mm)
- Large 3-Flange: silicone ear tips for large ear canal openings (8mm to 13mm)
- Small 3-Flange Long Stem: silicone ear tips with a longer stem for small ear canal openings (7mm to 11mm)
- Large 3-Flange Long Stem: silicone ear tips with a longer stem for large ear canal openings (8mm to 13mm)
- Small Foam: foam ear tips for small ear canal openings (6mm to 9mm)
- Large Foam: foam ear tips for large ear canal openings (8mm to 13mm)
Batteries: The Enlite hearing amplifiers use standard, 1.45-volt, Size 10 zinc-air hearing aid batteries, which are widely available in many retail stores and online. Eight batteries are provided in the box. Zinc-air batteries have a long shelf life, and once the tab is removed, the battery provides about 12 days of continuous operation. If you turn off the hearing amplifier after each use, the batteries typically last about 2 weeks. Opening the battery door turns off the hearing amplifier, and closing the door turns them on. Enlite features a Lobat™ warning when the batteries are low. Lobat produces a ticking sound that progressively becomes louder and faster as the battery charge drains. When the sound is first noticed, there are only a few hours left before the battery dies. During Lobat, performance does not change.
Cleaning Accessories: Regular cleaning keeps the hearing amplifiers in optimal working condition. The included cleaning tool has a soft brush for removing loose debris and a wire loop for removing ear wax from the nozzle. Silicone ear tips should be cleaned regularly in a mild detergent, and thoroughly dried before reattaching. Each hearing amplifier has a special filter that enhances sound and prevents ear wax from entering the ear bud. When clogged, the filters should be removed with the included filter tool, and replaced.
