Overview: The Reolink Argus Series B740X is a dual-lens, 4K security camera that gives you a wide 180° view of your property. It operates on dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for a stable wireless connection with lower latency. The B740X is powered by a 5000mAh rechargeable battery that is kept charged by the included Reolink Solar Panel. Recordings are stored locally via a microSD card (a 64 GB card is included). The Argus Series B740X is covered by a two-year warranty.

Dual Lenses: The B740X is equipped with dual lenses with a fixed 4mm focal length and a wide f/1.0 aperture. Dual-image stitching technology merge together the two views into a single super-wide-angle image with a 180° horizontal and 50° vertical field-of-view. The wide images eliminate blind spots so you can see your entire front or back yard with a single camera. The images are smooth with minimal distortion, allowing you to see more clearly. The camera also offers up to 10x digital zoom for a closer look.

Video Recording: The camera has a 1/1.8" CMOS image sensor that produces beautiful 4K video with 5120 x 1440 (8MP) resolution at up to 15 frames per second. You can choose between H.264 and H.265 video compression.

Audio: The Argus Series B740X is equipped with a microphone and speaker that enables two-way communication. With your cellphone and the Reolink app, you can have a real-time conversation with anyone near the camera.

Wireless Features: The B740X is compatible with dual-band Wi-Fi 6 technology (802.11ax), operating on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. You can stream 4K video footage with lower latency and better stability. Your videos are protected with WPA/WPA2/WPA3 security. The camera also connects via Bluetooth 5.0.

Power Options: The camera is powered by a built-in 5000mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. It can be charged via the camera's USB-C port and a 5V adapter (not included). The B740X comes with the 6-watt Reolink Solar Panel 2 to extend the battery life. The panel has a 12.5-foot cable that plugs into the camera's USB-C port. Just 10 minutes of solar charging can power the camera for 24 hours. The Solar Panel will only charge the battery at temperatures above 32°F.

ColorX Night Vision: The B740X offers clear vision in bright daylight, as well as low light situations, without infrared LEDs. Reolink's ColorX technology uses an advanced image sensor to provide color video in low light, rather than the grainy black and white images produced by IR night vision. The camera's five small spotlights on the front panel illuminate the area enough for the f/1.0 lenses and image sensor to capture detailed images in color. ColorX is significantly more efficient than IR Night Vision, reducing battery consumption by about 2 watts per hour (based on Reolink's testing data), giving you up to 12 extra days of standby time on the battery.

Motion Detection: The Argus Series B740X security camera features PIR (passive infrared) motion detection to alert you of activity on your property. The PIR sensor has a 170° field of view that works together with the camera's wide angle view. Its detection area is adjustable, and extends to a maximum of 33 feet (10 meters). Motion zones can be customized to protect privacy and to focus on vulnerable areas. The camera uses AI algorithms to analyze the detected motion to distinguish between people, vehicles, and animals to provide Smart Notifications and reduce false alarms.

Video Storage Options: The B740X offers flexible local storage options with no subscription fees. The camera is equipped with a microSD card slot, compatible with cards up to 128 GB, for storing your recordings. A 64 GB microSD card is included. The camera is compatible with Reolink's Home Hub (sold separately), which can store footage from multiple cameras and track subjects from one camera to another. The B740X also supports Reolink Cloud storage where you can save and access your recordings from anywhere without worry of loss due to camera theft or microSD card failure. A paid subscription to Reolink Cloud is required.

Installation: The B740X can be used indoors, but its IP66 weatherproof rating makes it ideal for outdoor installation. It can be mounted on a wall or ceiling using the included bracket and hardware. The camera also comes with a strap for mounting it on a tree or post. Likewise, the solar panel can be mounted to a wall, tree, or post. The solar panel should be mounted in a location that receives the most direct sunlight year round.

Reolink App: The Reolink App (iOS 13.4+, Android 8.0+) lets you view your videos on your smartphone from anywhere. The app also lets you create time-lapse videos to compress the time of the recording. You can also have two-way conversations with anyone near the camera using the app and your phone's microphone. Desktop versions of the Reolink App are also available for Windows and Mac OS. The B740X also integrates with Google Assistant for convenient voice control and for viewing images from the camera.
