Make a BIG difference

These work great. Not that hard to put up if you take your time and plan and measure. I did my theater in these and they helped my system sound a ton better and brought out it's true potential. Acoustics in the room is soooo important. Your system only sounds as good as the room. Think of the cost of the treatment as one of your theater components and it makes the cost easier to swallow. These make a big difference and also look good for what they are. The instructions for installing these are available online if they are not included in the box which mine were not. One helpful tip in getting them to line up vertically when installing several next to each other along a wall so the are even and line up along the top so they look professional. Mark the top 3/4" to 5/8" above where you want the final height to be, line up to that mark, push in and down. The will go down 3/4" to 5/8" onto the impaler mounts to the final desired position. Also Crutchfield's price for these with the free shipping is a great value that can't be beat. These are well made. I have 12 of them of different sizes and not one had any defects. Have had some for a couple years and the fabric stays on and they are still secure on the wall.

Acoustical Solutions AlphaSorb® Panel

Horrible build quality. The panel came with the fabric glued improperly and oke side was not a smooth edge. The fiberglass on the back was not as rigid or sealed as expected and instead immediately began off-gassing and shedding out of package. I'd stay far away from this due to the fiberglass and formaldehyde warning, and turn to a natural solution that doesn't burn your lungs. As for acoustics, it's so minimal due to the thin material plus fabric being too coarse for its acoustic purpose. It feels like a hastily glued together $20 product with a lot of hazard

Covers My TV Perfectly

My application was simple: Place the panel over a TV when not in use. It seems to work, albeit a controlled experiment was not performed. The TV is behind my stereo equipment console and between the speakers. A hanger was built to hang the panel over the TV. The panel absorbs 95 percent of the acoustic energy that would have reflected off the TV. The music sounds good, if not better. Plus the panel does not reflect light like the TV did, improving the ambiance. While this panel is rather expensive, it is very well made, was packed and delivered perfectly and will likely last as long as needed. Luckily my listening area requires no additional acoustic treatment which spares me the trouble trying to wade through this murky mystery of absorption, diffusion and trapping. If you know what you need, this panel will probably serve you well.

Acoustic Panel

I don't even have to say that Crutchfield is the best, cause they are. Anyhow my wife let me have this 14x14 room as my very own music room. It is pretty nice with the exception of paneled walls. I bought three of these panels and noticed immediately the direct sound coming from my system. Tight bass, no boominess. His and mids are exceptional. Not to mention the professional appearance they give off.
