PerformaBe Architectural Backbox: This acoustically tuned wooden backbox has been custom-designed for Revel's PerformaBe Architectural Series C128Be in-ceiling loudspeaker to ensure optimum audio performance and minimizes room-to-room sound transfer. The backbox measures 14.25" (w) x 14.25" (h) x 5.4375" (d).

• The backbox is designed to be mounted in a standard 16" on center wood framed constructed ceiling.
• The in-ceiling backbox is designed to fit in minimum 2"x6" framing wood construction.
• Minimum wallboard thickness supported is 0.375", while maximum wallboard thickness supported is 0.625".

Gold-Plated Spring Post Terminals: The acoustically tuned backbox is equipped with a set of gold-plated spring post terminals that will connect to your in-wall speaker wire, while in-wall-rated speaker inside the backbox connects to the gold-plated spring post terminals of the C128Be in-ceiling loudspeaker. The spring post terminals will accept speaker cable terminated with banana plugs (single or dual) and bare wire (up to 10AWG). The spring posts are gold-plated for optimum signal transfer and excellent resistance to corrosion. Use high-quality speaker wire to obtain the best performance from the Revel in-ceiling speaker.

• For wire lengths of less than 50', use at least 16AWG speaker wire.
• For wire lengths of 50' to 100', use at least 14AWG speaker wire.
• For wire lengths of greater than 100' use at least 12AWG speaker wire.
