Good entry-level Revels

We're powering this with an Onkyo TX-RZ730 as part of a 5.1.4 Atmos system (with Revel 263 rears, Audiosource 615C for ceilings, and Pioneer Andrew Jones 8" sub). They're an easy install, with clear template instructions and great wall anchors. They play very neutral and are a little thin in the upper-bass and midrange, but - when used as LCRs - present a wide and clean soundstage. As a center, even when in a middling location (ours is basically near the floor because of our projector screen), the dispersion is still decent with minimal lobing. The dialog is relatively anchored, even when sitting far to the side. We bought open-box units and they were indistinguishable from new, even though about $100 less per speaker and have starred them accordingly. At their $330 list price, I might deduct a star since the $300-400 space has a lot of great options, many of which provide more oomph.
Pros: Transparency, wide dispersion, build quality
Cons: A bit over-priced at list price

Revel W253L
Colman from Newburyport, MA on 7/22/2022
Excellent.. perfect for the application I was using. I purchased all Revel speakers for my 14x20 room. I have the W253L for the LCR and the W363 for rears.
Pros: Powerful for what I was doing.
Cons: NA
