Works as designed. Easy to attach to the R3 body and the other end to one of my older lenses. Focus is just as fast and images are sharp.

EF glass in an RF world

This adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do - connect EF lenses to the new RF mount. Photos are unaffected. This adapter does not have the selection ring on it and that is just fine as you can set the various wheels on the camera to adjust ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed, etc. You don't "need" one on your adapter, so unless you "want" it this adapter is for you. And you save $100...that is $100 for a flash or a new lens, etc. If you have EF glass, this is a must if you buy a Canon RF mount camera. Seamless operation; you can't ask for anything else.

I have used a couple EF lenses with the EOS R including the 1.4 extender II with this adapter and all have worked well without a hitch. I was fortunate that the adapter came with the purchase of the EOR R camera as a promotion.
