Overview: The Lotus Kit is a wearable ring that remotely controls lights, fans, or anything controlled by a light switch. It can also power on/off many brands of TVs. The Lotus Kit is ideal for busy parents caring for young children, persons with disabilities or mobility issues, or older adults wanting to stay independent in their home. It works on infrared technology (IR), not Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so there's no smartphone app needed. In addition to the Lotus ring, the kit also includes three light switch covers that attach magnetically to the wall switch, and a USB charger, charging cable, and AC adapter.
Lotus Ring: The Lotus Ring is worn on your index finger and has an IR emitter with a single control button and a range of approximately 30 feet. When you place the ring on your finger, the IR band should be aligned with your knuckle with the button on the side closest to your thumb. The lower edge of the button is marked with a thin raised line for easy identification. When you want to control your lights or TV, simply point and click the button with your thumb. It has an IPX5 waterproof rating, so you don't have to remove the ring to wash your hands or clean the house. The Lotus Ring comes in three sizes: 8, 10, and 12.
Light Switch Covers: The Lotus Kit includes three light switch covers that attach magnetically to your wall switches. When the switch cover receives the IR signal from the Lotus Ring, it mechanically operates your light switch to turn the light on or off. Light Switch Covers are available in two styles: Rocker Style (works with Decora switches) and Toggle Style.
TV Control: The Lotus Ring is able to power your TV on or off via infrared. No adapter is required. Just aim the ring at the TV and double-click the button. Rings are available in four models with controls for Samsung TVs, Sony TVs, LG/Hisense/Vizio TVs, and TCL/Roku TVs.
Rechargeable Batteries: Both the Lotus Ring and Switch Covers operate on rechargeable batteries. The inside of the Ring has two charging contacts that align with the contacts on the raised post on the included Charging Platform. Magnets on the post help to guide the ring into the proper position for optimum charging. The charger is powered by the included USB cable and AC adapter (5V-2000mA). The Switch Covers have a USB-C port that lets you charge them with the included USB cable. The Ring and Switch Covers charge in less than an hour, and only need charging two or three times a year.
