HDMI ARC Audio DownMixer: The Simplified MFG DARC1 is a HDMI ARC audio downmixing device that will take ARC digital audio and convert it to analog stereo via a stereo RCA output and/or 3.5mm headphone output. Use the DARC1 to extract audio from your TV's eARC/ARC jack and convert the multichannel digital audio signal to analog stereo to connect to your stereo receiver, integrated amplifier, powered speaker, or headphones.
HDMI ARC Input: The Simplified MFG DARC1 is equipped with a HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) input that will connect to your TV's HDMI ARC or eARC jack. The DARC1's HDMI input supports LPCM (2ch or 5.1ch), Dolby Digital (5.1ch), and DTS (5.1ch). Supported sampling rates include 32kHz., 44.1kHz., 48kHz., 88.2kHz., 96kHz., 176.4kHz., & 192kHz.
Note: Many newer TVs and AV receivers support HDMI eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). eARC is backward compatible with ARC. However, the Simplified MFG DARC1 will not support the transmission of Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, or DTS-HD.
Stereo Analog Outputs: The DARC1 is outfitted with two stereo analog outputs. Choose from an analog stereo RCA output or a stereo minijack (3.5mm) headphone output which will connect to your stereo receiver, integrated amplifier, powered speaker, or headphones.
HDMI CEC: HDMI Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI designed to allow you to operate and control devices connected through HDMI by using only one remote control. HDMI CEC is supported by the Simplified MFG DarC1, so your TV's remote can be used to control the volume level of the unit's stereo outputs.
Power Requirements: The Simplified MFG DARC1 features a microUSB power port and comes with a USB/AC power adapter and 39" microUSB-to-USB cable to power the unit. The DARC1 can also be powered via a USB-A port (rated 5V/1A) found on your TV.
Mounting Options: The Simplified MFG DARC1 can simply be table-top mounted on a flat horizontal surface, or mounted on a wall or to a piece of AV furniture using the included mounting brackets.

Pleasantly surprised that the audio quality was so great. It's so smooth it also can tell when the TV is switching audio for that and does a very smooth transition of that.
