HDMI Extender: The Simplified MFG EX3-8K can extend an HDMI 8K@30Hz or 4K@120Hz video signal up to 296' (90M) to a compatible 8K/4K TV, display monitor, or projector over HDBaseT and Cat6a/7 Ethernet cable.  The EX3-8K also supports multichannel audio, eARC (Enhanced Audio Return channel), and offers a separate analog stereo audio pass-thru. In addition, it offers bi-direction control via IR and configurable RS-232 functions. Other advanced functions include EDID management and multiple USB 2.0 ports. The EX3-8K is a two-piece kit that consists of a HDMI Transmitter and HDMI Receiver, plus comes with an AC power supply, IR blaster, and IR receiver.

HDBaseT: The Simplified MFG EX3-8K utilizes HDBaseT to extend an HDMI 8K or 4K@120Hz video signal up to 296' (90M) to a compatible 8K/4K TV, display monitor, or projector via Cat6a/7 Ethernet cable. You can also use a Cat6 Ethernet cable, but the transmission distance will shrink to 197' (60M). There is one Ethernet (RJ45) output port on its Transmitter and one Ethernet (RJ45) input port on the Receiver. A Cat6, Cat6a, or Cat7 cable will need to be run from the Transmitter to the Receiver.

HDMI 2.1 (40Gbps): The EX3-8K is equipped with one HDMI 2.1 input and one HDMI 2.1 output on the Transmitter & Receiver. The HDMI inputs and outputs meet HDMI 2.1 specifications with support for 40Gbps video bandwidth, 8K or 4K @ 120Hz video resolution, HDR (High Dynamic Range), and HDCP 2.2.

• 8K/4K Video Resolution: Up to 8K@30Hz (YUV4:4:4 10-bit) or up to 4K@120Hz (YUV 4:4:4 10-bit) video resolutions are supported. Also compatible with 1080p/i, 720p, and 480p/i.
• HDR (High Dynamic Range): Supported HDR formats include HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision.
• HDCP 2.3: HDCP 2.2 is short for "High bandwidth Digital Content Protection" and is used for 8K and 4K video copyright protection for compatibility with Ultra HD Blu-ray players, Satellite/Cable providers, and online streaming services. Its also backward compatible with HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4.

Audio Pass-Through: The Simplified MFG EX3-8K offers HDMI eARC and ARC support for LPCM (2/5.1/7.1ch), Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital+, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS, DTES, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High-Resolution Audio, and DTS:X. It also features a stereo analog audio 2.0 pass-thru.

• eARC (Enhanced Return Channel): The Receiver's HDMI out jack and the Transmitter's HDMI input jack supports eARC and ARC, allowing audio to be passed back from the connected TV, display monitor, or projector.
• Analog Stereo Minijack: A stereo minijack (3.5mm) input on the Transmitter and a stereo minijack (3.5mm) output on the Receiver allows pass-thru of an analog 2ch stereo audio signal.

EDID Management: The Simplified MFG EX3-8K features EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) management that can be controlled dip-switches located on the Transmitter and Receiver to configure video & audio handshake signals.

USB 2.0 Ports: The Receiver and Transmitter each have a USB-B Host input and three USB-A Device inputs for connection of a computer, monitor, keyboard & mouse in two locations. The USB function can be adjusted so that either the Receiver or the Transmitter can become the host or client device.

Bi-Directional Control: The Simplified MFG EX3-8k supports bi-directional IR (infrared) & RS232 control signals, letting you send IR and data signals over CAT6 cable to control devices on both ends of the HDMI HDBaseT extender system.

• IR: IR Inputs (3.5mm) and IR Outputs (3.5m) on both the Transmitter and Receiver let you use the included IR Receiver and IR Blaster for controlling a playback sourced device connected to the Transmitter and a TV or monitor connected to the Receiver.
• RS-232: Both the Transmitter and Receiver units include a 3-pin Euroblock (Phoenix) connector for bi-directional RS-232 commands, letting you connect an optional third-party RS-232 controller to either the Transmitter or Receiver and control a connected device on the opposite end.

PoE (Power over Ethernet): The Simplified MFG EX3-8K comes with a single AC power supply. The AC power supply can be connected to either the Transmitter or Receiver. PoE (Power over Ethernet) is used to supply to the device that is not connected to the AC power adapter via Cat6 cable.

Mounting Options: The Simplified MFG EX3-8K's Transmitter and Receiver can simply be table-top mounted on a flat horizontal surface, or mounted on a wall or to a piece of AV furniture using the included mounting brackets.
