Features

HDBaseT HDMI Extender Kit: The Simplified MFG EXARC can extend an HDMI2.0b (18Gbps) high-definition audio/video signal and two-way IR or RS-232 control up to 131' (for 4K) or 232' (for 1080p) over a single Cat5e/6/7 cable, while simultaneously transmitting ARC or optical S/PDIF audio signals. The EXARC extender kit consists of a single Transmitter unit and one Receiver unit, plus an IR blaster and receiver. The Transmitter unit is responsible for transmitting the HDMI input signal from your connected source component via a Cat5e/6/7 cable, while the Receiver is responsible for receiving the HDMI audio/video signal and passing it along to your connected display monitor, TV, or projector. The ARC and optical S/PDIF function of the EXARC allows you to bring audio back to the Transmitter from the Receiver and your display.

HDMI 2.0b (18Gbps): The Simplified MFG EXARC is equipped with one HDMI input on the Transmitter unit and a HDMI output on the Receiver. The HDMI input and output meet HDMI 2.0b specifications with support for 18Gbps video bandwidth, 4K/60Hz video resolution, HDR (High Dynamic Range), HDCP 2.2, and 1080p/3D; as well as multichannel audio, ARC (Audio Return Channel), and HDMI CEC.

  • 4K Resolution: Supports video formats up to 4k @ 50/60Hz (YCBCR 4:4:4) or 4k @ 30Hz (RGB / YcbCR 4:4:4 / YCBCR 4:2:2). It also offers support for 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p (including 3D).
  • HDR (High Dynamic Range): Supported HDR formats include HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
  • HDCP 2.2: HDCP 2.2 is short for "High bandwidth Digital Content Protection" and is used for 4K video copyright protection for compatibility with Ultra HD Blu-ray players and 4K Satellite/Cable providers. Its also backward compatible with HDCP 1.4.
  • ARC (Audio Return Channel): The ARC function of the EXARC allows you to bring audio back to the Transmitter from the Receiver and your display. Supported audio formats include LPCM 2/5.1/7.1CH, Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Digital+, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X.
  • CEC (Consumer Electronic Control): Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI designed to allow you to operate and control devices connected through HDMI by using only one remote control.

Optical S/PDIF: The Smplified MFG EXARC offers optical S/PDIF connectivity with a optical (toslink) input on the Receiver unit and a optical (toslink) output on the Transmitter unit, allowing you to bring audio back to the Transmitter from the Receiver and your display. The optical S/PDIF output also supports HDMI ARC audio return.

Note: You can select whether you will be using the EXARC's HDMI ARC function or the optical (toslink) input on the Receiver unit; you cannot use both at the same time.

HDBaseT Certified: The Simplified MFG EXARC is HDBaseT Certified and features a HDBaseT RJ45 input on the Transmitter unit, plus a HDBaseT RJ45 output on the Receiver unit for connecting your source component to a TV, monitor, display, or projector using Cat5e/6/7 cable (sold separately).

  • Up to 131' (40M) for 4K video signals
    • 4K @ 50/60Hz (YUV444)
    • 4K @ 50/60Hz (YUV420)
  • Up to 232' (70M) for 1080p video signals
    • 1080p @ 60Hz (36-bit)
    • 1080p/3D @ 30Hz (36-bit)

2-Way IR Control: The Simplified MFG EXARC supports bi-directional infrared control signals, letting you send IR signals over CAT5e/6/7 cable to control devices on both ends of the system. 3.5mm IR In and IR Out jacks on both the Transmitter and Receiver let you use the included IR Receiver and IR Blaster for controlling a connected playback device on the Transmitter and a TV or monitor connected to the Receiver.

RS-232: Both the EXARC Transmitter unit and Receiver unit include a 3-pin Euroblock (Phoenix) connector for bi-directional RS-232 commands, letting you connect an optional 3rd-party RS-232 controller to either unit and control a connected device on the opposite end.

Service Port: The Simplified MFG EXARC Transmitter and Receiver both include a front-panel micro-B USB Service Port for updating the firmware.

Power Requirements: The Simplified MFG EXARC comes with a single AC power adapter. The power adapter can be plugged in at the Transmitter or Receiver and will supply power to both units. Make sure the power connection to the unit is made before plugging in the power adapter to AC.

Mounting Options: The EXARC's Transmitter unit and Receiver unit can simply be table-top mounted on a flat horizontal surface, or mounted on a wall or to a piece of AV furniture using the included mounting brackets.
