Great product and simple installation.

The Simplified MFG SP12S replaced another unit that was purchased at a big box electronics store and failed prematurely. I'm an analog man who is living in a digital world, so I appreciate the fact that the Simplified unit was so easy to install. The instructions were clear, and the job took me about ten minutes. Both my wife and I agree that the picture quality is significantly better, as well.

Just get the good stuff!

Works great! bought several China ones and they all failed in short order. I started looking around and though I did not think of Crutchfield for home/ office audio video supplies I was pleased to find they have a great assortment of higher end accessory equipment. I have never had an issue with service, delivery, or product purchased from Crutchfield.

great product

used this to view 2 tv's off 1 dish joey.1- 50" & 1- 19".only issue was when I hooked up the 50" tv to the hdmi port 2 I didn't have sound but when I reversed the cables with the 50" in the hdmi port one you can watch both tv's.thanks to crutchfield support(Ronald) for the help

Works great to split from Set Top Box to 2 TVs

Works great for splitting the HDMI signal out from my FiOS SetTop Box (STB)to two different, unmatched TVs. Now whatever I watch on the STB is mirrored to both TVs in different rooms and in sync. My FiOS remote controls the STB and TV1 (station/volume/power). On TV2, the power and volume are controlled separately by TV2's remote. I spoke to the Crutchfield Sales Tech Sonny in advance to confirm this splitter would do this. He confirmed it would. He also advised me to set the splitter to "copy mode" which I did. Now I can watch either TV alone or have both playing in sync. It was plug and play easy. Thanks Sonny & Crutchfield. Note: prior to this I had purchased a $14.00 splitter online. It wasn't powered and wasn't smart enough to sort the TV specs and negotiate "the handshakes". This one is!

After a bit of fiddling worked as I wanted

As the ARC/eARC audio between my new 4k LG G3 OLED and my older 1080p Denon AVR 1912 didn't want to play nice I was stuck using optical out from the LG TV which meant only pro logic sound on the Denon. This unit allowed me to send 4K Video to the TV and DDD+ digital audio to the Denon. The instructions were a bit confusing but I finally got it to work by setting the HDMI EDID out dipswitch to "copy" with HDMI 1 in in its "normal" off position and HDMI 2 in the 1080p on position .

great product

I called and talked to rep about what I wanted to accomplish with my tv and surround sound. This was her recommendation and it worked just as she said. i was surprised how heavy it is, seems to be made well. Very happy with customer service and the product.

HDMI 4k splitter

High quality product. It is working as expected. Using it in home video system. Splitting single output of streaming device; one to older Denon AVR and the other to 4k TV. Thanks to Eric in customer support who helped in the setup. I am getting great surround sound and great 4k performance.

Simplified HD Splitter

Excellent product for splitting a source signal using HDMI. Seamlessly transferred my 4K signal without a perceptible loss of quality. I used a 30 foot HDMI cable run between sources without any issues. Great product!

Cinema expeirience fullfilled

I got this wild hair to set up a projector for use with my surround system. At first I tried blue tooth sound, huge lag, then I tried a head phone cable. Still lag and just not that great of sound. I had to think and look into options so the cinema experience was worth while. I chose to go with simplified hdmi splitter. Sound is now driven through sound system along with video to either tv or projector. Excellent product

Simplified Solution

The SP12S helped me resolve an HDMI 2.0 to 1.4 incompatibility issue between my LG OLED and my McIntosh MX-121 Processor. I installed this product between my Apple TV THE LG TV, since there are 2 HDMI outs I was able to connect t the 2nd HDMI cable to my Processor. The HDMI audio is to my ears superior to the digital optical audio I previously used. I plan out purchasing another to install between my Oppo 205 and my LG TV.
