A versatile pendant speaker

The handy SoundTube Mighty Mite 43-BGM lets you use a few speakers to fill a large space. Music and announcements can be heard clearly, thanks to a clever 3-way driver design that includes a 3/4" tweeter, a 4" midrange woofer, and a 5-1/4" band-pass subwoofer. Each speaker delivers sound in a conical pattern, so you can hang it from the ceiling and cover lots of space below.

Built-in transformer tap

The Mighty Mite is designed to work in a commercial distributed audio system, with one amplifier using power efficiently to drive several speakers at once. There's an easily accessible rotary transformer tap on the business end of the speaker, so you can configure each one in your system individually.

Safe, secure installation

The Mighty Mite includes everything you need to suspend the speaker safely from your ceiling. There's a hanging cable, safety cable, and two SpeedClamps. And remember, your Crutchfield account manager is always available to offer advice while you're installing it.

Features

Overview: The Soundtube Mighty Mite 3-Way Hanging Speaker is a pendant-mount speaker designed for 70- and 100-volt applications. It features a 5-1/4" dual-chamber bandpass subwoofer and a 4" mid-bass woofer, both with polypropylene cones and a rubber surround, and a 0.75" silk dome tweeter. The tweeter features Soundtube's BroadBeam Ring technology for consistently smooth high frequencies. With a wide 115° conical dispersion pattern, the Mighty Mite is ideal for both music and voice applications in high-ceiling open areas.

Enclosure: The Mighty Mite housing offers long lasting performance and durability with its injection molded ABS enclosure and powder-coated aluminum grille, both of which are paintable. The Mighty Mite carries both UL1480 UEAY and UL2239 ratings, along with CE and RoHS certifications.

70/100 Volt: Designed primarily for distributed systems, the Soundtube Mighty Mite features a 30-watt transformer housed inside the speaker enclosure. Wiring connections consist of a 4-position ceramic terminal strip on top of the speaker that can accept speaker wire from 22-14 gauge in size. One set is provided as the input while the other paralleled terminals can be used for daisy-chaining multiple speakers. A rotary dial on the top of the speaker is provided for the following tap selections:

70V: 3.75W, 7.5W, 15W, 30W
100V: 7.5W, 15W, 30W
8Ω: Bypass

Installation: The Mighty Mite pendant speaker features an integrated hanging bracket on top of the speaker enclosure, and comes with UL-listed hanging cable and a safety cable, both with integrated snap-hooks for attaching to the speaker. Each cable includes a SpeedClamp self-locking wire grip for fast and easy height adjustment.
